Tromso Fishing Sea Safari

We had a fantastic day on the water and the guides were absolutely outstanding, 10/10. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone had a great experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun and memorable fishing adventure.

Fishing with boat is fantastic experience! Tromsø is such a hot destination these days, now that in April there seems to be less people visiting, more quietness in town. So this is a must do all seasons. The day I joined the weather was particularly nice. Calm, just some light breeze, light waves adding some fun for the fishing experience. After fishing, our guide Pepe made super nice creamy fish soup, it was so yummy that we asked for extra. Super good experience, I recommend to join.

After missing out on ice fishing due to the mild weather, we booked this trip last minute—and it ended up being one of the highlights of our visit. The boat can take up to 12 guests, but there were only five of us on this trip, which meant we each had our own rod. Normally there are six rods shared between 12 people, so having a rod each really maximised our fishing time and made the experience even better. Skipper Pepe and Jeremiah were excellent hosts—friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive throughout the trip. They moved us between three different fishing spots to give us the best chance of catching something, and everyone on board managed to land a good-sized cod. The best part was that the fresh catch was then prepared as soup for us to enjoy, which was absolutely delicious. A fantastic way to spend a calm afternoon on the fjords. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a memorable and authentic local experience.

Tourist head boat fishing. Not what I was expecting. Fished a few km from the harbor dock. Guide was great. Fish soup excellent but not much fish caught

Very nice experience. The guides were awesome and told a lot about the king crab, fishing and the region as a whole. Would absolutely recommend it. Guides especialy were nice and answered all questions.

Friendly and experienced staffs. They went out of the way to find spots with a lot of activities so that we get to fish. The soup was delicious. The person who taught us how to fish was Henry, he was patient and gave clear instructions while teaching how to fish. The captain was an Argentinian, I forgot his name, but he was a responsible captain who tried switching a few locations to make sure we get to fish. I'll definitely recommend this to my friends.

I went for fishing safari with Pepe, Alvaro and few other people. We navigated through the fiord to different places that seemed to be the best when catching fishes. Fishing is very simple and I managed to catch a cod. Later on we cooked a soup from it! The atmosphere during the whole journey was very, very nice. We got to know about the fish itself, could see the preparation of it and we were also explained about the area we are. The guides are very approachable and knowledgeable.

A great crew with great knowledge of the area. We hit a larger school Pollock towards the end of the trip. There was great scenery, good fishing and a knowledgeable crew.

This was my 3rd trip with tromso fishing sea safari and it has always been a blast! Their staff is not only super friendly and knowledgeable, they are also super funny and passionate about what they're doing! This time we went out with Pepe as our skipper and Jeremias as our fishing guide. What a Dreamteam these two are! We learned so much about fishing, the area and how things work around here 69° North. We started our trip with a safety talk and headed North where Pepe skillfully navigated us to the first stop. Shortly after we put the rods out, we already caught some fish 😊 Jeremias then gave us a very detailed explanation about the fish and what the most useful parts are, especially when living in the Arctic! We had multiple stops along our journey and finished the trip with a delicious fishsoup with the fish we caught before. What a great experience once again! Thank you guys for being great! I highly recommend this company and I look forward to be on tour with you soon again!! :)

Pepe and Jeremias were brilliant hosts, captains, and teachers. I learned so many new things about the fish, the local area, and life in Tromsø in general. The soup that Jeremias cooked was absolutely amazing, he also shared many interesting facts about local fishing and also king crabs. So many new fun facts I had no clue about. Pepe skilfully navigated the boat through the crazy strong currents under the Tromsø Bridge and knew where to look for the best fishing spots and how to hide from the winds. Recommended!

This fishing tour was absolutely amazing! It was my first time ever fishing, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The guides were fantastic — super friendly, fun, and really knew their stuff. They taught us a lot about local fishing and the area, and made sure everyone was having a great time. The highlight was definitely the cod soup they prepared for us on board — it was so tasty and just what we needed to warm up! The whole trip was well organized, relaxing, and full of good vibes

I am not a big fisherman but this but really fantastic experience! Beautiful views, nice boat, many fish, and lovely crew. They explained a lot about sailing. Captain Pepe navigated us through the fjords to the best fishing spots and chef/captain Jeremias taught us how to catch fish, clean fish with many interesting points and later cooked very delicious soup from the fish we caught. Highly Recommended!!

This tour was easily the best thing we did on our vacation! We enjoyed amazing views while fishing in several spots in the Fjords around Tromsø. The guides were amazing and took great care of my elderly grandfather. On the way back to the harbor they also prepared us a delicious fish soup, made with our self caught fish!

Great fun! Cool crew, charming boat and we even caught some Crab!! We decided to check out stuff to do a summer evening and quickly ended up on BigBoat’s offices where we were handed a warm survival suit. Not 30 minutes afer we were out fishing in the midnight sun. Amazing evening. We were even served freshly made fish soup! 10/10 would do again

I had a boat trip with another company cancelled, so I reserved a space the day before. The crew were very good about teaching safety tips and fishing techniques, and then gave us all rods. I attempted to follow the instructions, sending the bait down to the bottom of the fjord and then reeling up the line ten cycles on the reel. Only one problem. I could only reel up eight cycles before the line stuck. It would not move at all and my efforts to force it up was bending the rod. Not wanting to break any equipment, I alerted the crew to what had happened, so I could have help freeing the line from the rock. Then the rock started to move. Away. This was not a rock. Based on the pressure on the line, what was on the hook did not seem like a cod. At this point everyone started to get excited and I received assistance in reeling the fish. It took some effort, but suddenly a fish came into view. A big fish. We got it into the boat, the crew quickly killed the fish, and we weighed it. It was a cod. Not a 4kg cod, but a 9.8kg cod. Maybe ten years old? Much picture-taking ensued, and while I was given the option of taking this fish on the plane, we sensibly decided that after taking a fillet for the day’s fish soup, the crew would freeze the rest to ensure future trips would not end in vegetable soup. This all happened within the first 15 minutes of a 3 ½ hour fishing trip. The rest of the trip involved catch and release fishing, followed by an excellent fish soup. Then we docked, I quickly gathered my things and thanked everyone, and caught a cab to the airport. I was happy just to go out on the water. But I got a fish story. I can't guarantee you will, but you will be in great hands with this company.

I had a great time on this trip, caught several fish and enjoyed some of the best king crab soup I’ve ever had👌 The guide was incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable, sharing lots of interesting facts about the local sea life. Even as a local to the Tromsø area, it was a refreshing and memorable way to experience what the region has to offer from a new perspective. Highly recommend this tour whether you’re a visitor or a local looking for something special!

Incredible experience that I'd happily repeat. A very professional crew and a day full of laughter. Thanks to my Chinese teammates I discovered two things: that in Tromsø people really know how to fish... and that I'm absolutely useless with a rod. Luckily, at least I know how to cheer when others catch the fish!

I loved it, it's my favorite activity in Tromso. The guides are very kind, the boat trip is great. I discovered fishing and I loved it. The fish soup cooked with the fish caught was delicious. If I come back to Tromso, I will do this activity again.

Unique experience to do if you come to Tromso, where you can enjoy incredible views while fishing. Exquisite treatment by the guide Alvaro, makes everything very enjoyable and fun. Also during the stay we cook a very good fish soup, great to get a little warm. I definitely recommend it.

A fantastic experience, just the boat ride is already worth it. Fishing is very entertaining and the atmosphere on the boat makes you feel very comfortable right away. The guys who take the tour are wonderful, they explain many things and they are the ones who make the experience even more memorable. At the end of the tour they make you soup with what has been fished and is very delicious. I recommend 100%.

I have never fished or cleaned a fish and I have learned! I'm happy because I can do both by myself. Pepe and Jeremias explained everything perfectly, always with a smile, making me feel like I was 10 years old and you were going with your traveling classmates. I felt alive and a wonderful feeling when I came home. The soup was great and our group managed to fish. They are professional, especially in the way they treat people. I would recommend it a thousand times. They also speak Spanish and more languages apart from English, so it was easy for me. Thank you ❤️🙏🏼

An amazing experience in Tromsø. Alvaro and Geremiah treated us to 10, with closeness and a lot of passion. We fished, ate a delicious soup and even saw seals and a porpoise. Besides, we learned a lot of curiosities. 100% recommended.

Bardzo ciekawa wycieczka, pełna opowieści o Norweskich ciekawostkach. Pierwszy raz w życiu łowiłam ryby i było to bardzo interesujące doświadczenie. Potem nasz przewodnik Alvaro zrobił nam pyszną zupę rybną zrobioną ze zdobyczy z rejsu. Jestem bardzo zadowolnona I polecam każdemu kto się jeszcze zastanawia.

It has been a spectacular tour, both the experience itself and the treatment received by the crew and the guides who gave the tour in both Spanish and English, were constantly making sure everyone was having a great day. It is rating that Pepe, Jeremiah and Alvaro have a great passion and love for their work. On the other hand the freshly fished cod soup has been one of the best I have ever tasted. In conclusion a highly recommended experience.

They made us an amazing Fjord Tour where they taught us how to fish. We took 2 fish that we then ate in a soup that they make you at the moment. The guides spoke both Spanish and English so we found out everything, plus they were super friendly. Recommended 100%.

For those of us from land to land, the experience on a boat is always exciting, but in this case it exceeded my expectations. In addition to an attractive boat ride along this beautiful fjord, a fun and successful fishing morning, which ends with a careful tasting of local homemade recipe. It has been a very interesting experience for the exceptional views of the surroundings of Tromsø Island, very pleasant for the accurate explanations and human quality of our guides and very fun because we managed to fish and good specimens, of cod.
