Tromso Arctic Fjords And Sommarøy Excursion With Optional Lunch

What a fun tour! I truly had an amazing time! Our driver/guide Gerard was very punctual, organized, entertaining and really went above and beyond to make sure that everyone enjoyed the tour! Breathtaking views, lots of photos and a tour to remember! Thank you!

Gerrard our tour guide made this trip very interesting and worthwhile. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about the reindeer that belong to the Sami people, he made sure that we respected their habitat. The food at Sommaroy hotel was very good and on the trip back Gerrard took us to a fjord that was stunning at 12.6km. Thank you Gerrard.

Gérard was a phenomenal tour guide. The experience was thoroughly enjoyable and we were given full explanations of where we were and information about each place. It was an unforgettable experience for all of the wonderful views we were given and we had plenty of photo opportunities, with reindeer and of the Fjords. The lunch was incredible and we would recommend the fish burgers. Our favourite part was being able to touch the water. Our only regret is that we did not take swimming gear as this was something that we would have liked to have done. Over all an amazing experience and Gérard was more than helpful along the way to optimise that

Well, where should I start? Our tour was apparently cancelled however it continued to say it was happening. Even when we called twice, we were told the tour was on. So we arrive for our tour and are denied entry. Our last day was ruined thanks to Viator! If your app had adjusted to say cancelled or If we had been told that when we called, we could have scheduled something else. Thanks for nothing Viator! Even now we are getting messages to review our tour. Seems like your system has a huge flaw!

There are several stops where there may be mud in the often rainy weather. But the scenery is beautiful. The lunch is a burger and fries, ok but nothing special. The beach was the last stop, and the best.

David was extremely informative about the place he took us. He provided informative insights and background history of the places we visited despite the fact he wasn’t born here. The places we visited were breaking and has provided us a lifetime of unforgettable memories. David was very respectful and accommodating. We wish him the very best in his chosen trade. We would recommend this tour.

This was an excellent tour, our guide was very knowledgeable about Norway even though he was from Spain and was able to answer all our questions! The scenery was gorgeous and lunch at a farm with traditional food was superb. Highly recommend this tour!

Getting to the meeting point communication was easy enough to navigate to. Our guide David was knowledgeable and friendly. It was raining most of our tour but he made it possible for us to cover all the spots. He did not rush at all. Gave enough time to take pictures and answered questions we had. Lunch was good as well. We had fun on this tour and we loved the places we saw. We did not get to see the raindeers due to the weather.

Gerard was absolutely fantastic—if I could give him 10 stars, I would! He was friendly, knowledgeable, engaging, and did everything he could to make the experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, the tour itself didn’t feel worth the money. We expected to have more time to explore and actually enjoy each of the beautiful places we visited, but most stops felt very short—around 10–15 minutes—before we had to get back in the van and move on. It made the experience feel more like quickly checking off tourist spots rather than really experiencing the incredible nature around Tromsø. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, but the whole day felt rushed. We ended up spending more time in the van than actually enjoying the places we came to see. With fewer stops and more time at each location, I think this could be a much better experience.

Nice tour and our guide Gerard was friendly and helpful tour was just the right amount of sights and the lunch on the beach was a nice bonus

A great trip along the fjord water to the sea where a nice simple lunch was served. It was amazing to the see the ocean from this far north. We picked sea shells.

A very enjoyable tour with beautiful scenery and a friendly, knowledgeable guide. The lunchtime soup was warm and tasty and the sweet bun was good too. Also spotted some Reindeer on the way home! Thoroughly recommend it.

This tour was a great little scenic interlude in our cruise adventure. Even though it was misty and rainy at times, we enjoyed scenery worthy of a postcard depiction—bridges, fishing shacks, colorful villages and a sandy beach! David was an excellent driver/guide. He took photos, made sure everyone’s needs were attended to and even did a second drive by so that people could see reindeer. Well done!

Great trip in a minibus! Lunch on the beach was very good and warmed us up. Our guide seemed to know all the good spots along the way and timed some of them around the weather. Nice option for a relaxed family outing from Tromso.

Gerard took us around in a minivan to different beautiful places to see the fjords, a lake, coral beaches and the fjells. We had a lunch break at wounderful Sommerøya. By the end of the tour we also got to see a deer family on the fields. 😄👍

I looked at a dozen options for this trip and found this one the best. The wonderful guide/driver picked me up on time at the Moxy. He was incredibly thoughtful, knowledgeable, flexible, friendly, and entertaining. The trip is the perfect length of time, lunch was delicious and unique (a thermos of yummy soup with accompaniments on a gorgeous beach), and the itinerary is very well planned. A perfect day - even when a sunny day turned cloudy.

A comfortable, relaxed and interesting tour through beautiful country. We made several stops to enjoy the scenery and take photos, as well as opportunities to walk. Lunch was a delicious veggie soup.

This is a must do road tour along the fjords. We got to see a beach and the magnificent glaciers. The tour guide Gerard was very friendly and pleasant. He kept filling us in with fun facts along the way! Stopped at the most scenic spots and treated us to a great dinner. Highly recommended!

Very good travel guide - Gerard who drove us in his Tesla Car, personalised private tour. Excellent locations during the trip and timely stop overs. Veg soup was good, can purchase veg food at the hotel if needed. Saw some reindeers on the way as well.

This was a really fantastic tour. It was gorgeous with lots of stops to admire the Arctic nature and landscapes. The lunch was lovely, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We loved our time on this tour and would highly recommend it for future travelers. Thank you!

She also made sure we have ample time to enjoy the views and take photos. This tour is a must do when you visit Tromso.

It was difficult to connect with our tour driver, but the other tour operators at the hotel helped link us to him. Jared was a good driver and took us to beautiful locations for pictures and views. We enjoyed snow at one stop, the coral beach and fishing cabin area. The lunch of soup and cakes was also good.

I thought it was a good way to get to know the surroundings of Tromso. I thought the lunch was very delicious. Perhaps what was missing was a bit more context or history.

In reality, it is a tour where it is unlikely you will get to see wild animals, but you will be able to see the fjords and you will find some excellent places for photographs. I think Bali is worth it, you could also do it by car, but you would miss a large part of the information.. We had Gerard, and the truth is he does a great job, explaining everything around us, the cultural part, and also, with a huge willingness to help everyone who came on the tour in both English and Spanish, and I must also say he is a great photographer.

We did the tour with Gerardo, we were Spanish and English speakers and he did a great job, he provided us with the same information in both languages and we all got along very well. We stopped at points of great scenic interest. The tour was a 10, totally recommended and especially for the kindness and attention of the guide Gerardo.
