Amazing, so much k owledge from Mateo! The first time i have heard with so much passion the cientific description about the lights. It was an amazing night he kept track of the explosions and when they were near to happen. Very knowledgeable and sweet! You will make your mom proud(inside joke)! Definately would recommend, we had a campfire and snacks as promised. Made 4 stops. Absolutely great and took a few pictures as promised.!

Fantastical Tour. The day was bad for catching the Northern Lights but our Guide, Lucas, with is good mood and vibes was done an extraordinary job and with their help we saw the aurora in two stops but the last stop the aurora came in Big and it was superb. Well done guys.
It was a cloudy night but we were lucky to see a good display of lights after patiently waiting for a couple of hours. The minibus was cramped. You could barely fit down the isle and our knees were smashed against the seat in front so we were more than happy to stand outside for a few hours. There was confusion on our night with guests from a larger bus lined up to catch our bus but it was sorted without too much delay. There was very little communication on this trip compared to a previous night/company we had experienced with a very knowledgeable driver/host. This bus didn't so much "chase" northern lights as it did drive 1 hr to a known location and sit and wait. There was no mention of heading anywhere further to try to lose the clouds, no mention of toilet stops - which there were none and very little discussion about northern lights. The bus had some music playing instead of northern lights discussion and the atmosphere was very subdued. We also turned back earlier than expected, while the northern lights were still very much on display. There was no chance to see them from the bus because they kept lights on the entire time we were travelling.
We were unable to see any lights due to poor visibility. My rating is due to the fact that our guide kept searching and it got very late. Didn’t get back to our hotel until 3 am.
Tour bus was late picking us up, the tour guide did not identify himself as the guide, and was on the phone angrily pacing about trying to find out what was happening. The minibus arrived over 30 mins late. The guide sounded like he was falling asleep while we were driving to the beach location, and eventuallydid fall asleep on the way back, the driver had to wake him when he saw lights the second time. The driver spotted the best light show that we had seen our entire trip. We did a bonfire on the beach which helped us keep warm. Not a lot of photo opportunities with the professional camera.
Our guide (Nikolai) and driver (Omar) took us to a great location for viewing the northern lights. We had a crisp and clear night sky, Nikolai took some great photos that he shared. Omar looked after our group with hot drinks and snacks around the fire. They pushed the pick up time out an hour because of later sunset. This was greatly appreciated as it reduced waiting time on the bus. Highly recommended tour.
Luigi is a great guide. He directed us to the island of Ringvassøja to the fjord Dåfjord. Here we enjoyed the Aurora. Luigi made a bonfire where we warmed up and had a picnic.
It was a very nice trip even we didn't see the Northern Lights. Kirstin is a very good guide, she told us a lot about Tromso and she made our trip very enjoyable.
We weren’t able to see any auroras at all even though we drive all the way to the border of Finland. It was too cloudy the day I went. But I heard other tours canceled bc they knew it was cloudy all over. I wish they cancelled our trip instead of just taking driving us for hours. I recommend allowing a couple of days in Tromso to see the northern lights.
Eventhough it was cloudy our tour guide took us multiple spots to see the Aura. He was very knowledgeable and was able to help us see it through the clouds.
Martin, our guide is knowledgeable and experienced, there was alot of cloud cover but he was able find spots to see aurora
The trip was well organized and guide was passionate and knowledgeable, Driver also did a good job to take good care of us
Great experience. Our guide was very enthusiastic and we made several stops to enjoy the lights. Fantastic experience!
Worst experience ever. Martin the guide was horrible, basket case. Not a safe journey, got caught on ice on a hill. Had my husband and son try to help push to bus off the ice with no crampons, the bus could have rolled over. Driver was not prepared and did not know the bus had chains nor how to put them on. The bus was seats for 18 and stuffed like sardines in the bus. The guide had everyone get off the bus, called screamed at the company, he lost his cool and it was the worst expeience. Go see the lights but do not use this local tour. Unsafe. The guide left half way through, had the driver let him off and did not speak to us and left us with the inexperienced driver. His name was Martin from Czech. Beware for the worst experience. The food we had to prep, which was cold hotdogs and the fire was so small could not even eat. Or cook on it. No hot liquid and it was sooooo cold and windy. Very very unsafe
AMAZING!!!!! That sums it up and our guide, Martin, incredible, knowledgeable, intelligent, SÚPER NICE !!!!!! The entire night was very special and an INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE, definitely would recommend 100% ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This tour was well planned, guide knew how to find good viewing spots. A perfect extra is that they include a photo of the experience. Would recommend!
Very good guide and experience. The driver was also great. We saw the aurora in 3 places. The campfire was really nice.
Super exciting and magical northern lights tour to see the aora. The tour guide was very cool and knowledgeable, took amazing pictures and make the experience memorable!
I was initially worried because the forecast showed heavy clouds and snow, but our guide was determined to find a clear patch of sky. They drove us further out than expected, and thanks to their expertise, we ended up with a stunning view of the Aurora! The small group size made a huge difference, it felt more personal and the guide could really look after everyone. It wasn't just a "drive and drop" tour, they genuinely cared about us seeing the lights. If you want a team that goes the extra mile even when the weather isn’t on your side, this is the one. Highly recommended!
This is one of the experiences in my bucket list. It was very exciting to see the small bus arrives at the exact time and a small group of people run end get to their seats rapidly (they were excited). The driver try catching the lights for a while and then suddenly he stops saying there they are. We run out of the bus and saw this spectacular show of lights. I myself was amazed and grateful for being able to live this beautiful experience. At this special moment they took a photo of each one in the group so we can to remember this spectacular experience. We stay there until they were gone and then we went looking for more. The next stop we saw more lights but at the moment it was so cold they gave us hot chocolate and hot dogs. I’m grateful to the driver and company that make this such a great experience
The guide was very nice and good. We saw some very beautiful Nothern lights dancing, white, green and pink. They made a pretty bonfire, they even had vegetarian hot dog and hot chocolate. He take some very good pictures.
The guide was very good and nice. We saw some very beautiful dancing Northern lights, green, white ans pink. They made a pretty bonfire and had even vegetarian hot dog and a nice hot chocolate.
Great guide and driver, both lovely and chilled and friendly. Would recommend this company and this particular tour. We got some good photos too. Overall great experience.
Our tour was so great! We were able to see the lights thankfully, our tour guide Dag was the best! He was really knowledgeable and answered all our questions and told us fun facts on the bus. Would really recommend this tour!
What an experience we had with Martin, an easy-going, funny and very competent guide. They are a local business so they know a lot about the area and the best places to see the northern lights: we stopped several times, our heads turned up to the sky to admire the show going on, with beautiful green and purple colors in the sky (the weather on that day was perfect). It was magical! I have been dreaming about seeing the northern lights for years and with Martin this dream came true, an exciting and magic experience, and it felt like we had known him forever. And of course we will never forget our faces in the snow! Then we had dinner at a cabin on the coast: hot dogs, hot drinks and cookies. We booked directly on their website to get a 10% off because we booked a second tour with them and I think it was a good price compared to other agencies and, above all, we really enjoyed our time! If you are looking for a northern lights tour, Hello Tromso will not disappoint you!
We had a very good time on this trip. Not only was our guide very friendly but also the minibus was clean and comfortable. We did saw northern lights and it was magical.
Great experience!!! If you have the time in Tromso definitely book this. The guide was great and friendly and the driver they were both amazing
We had booked the smaller group and more expensive tour, but they moved us to the big bus tour because there wasn’t enough people for the small bus tour. It was still a great experience and they refunded the difference to us. We drove for hours because it was raining and really cloudy. I was convinced that there wouldn’t be any opportunities of seeing the northern lights that night. Then the sky cleared up at midnight and we saw the lights! I’m so glad the tour guide, Martin, didn’t give up. He knew better. I’ve heard from others who went out the same night we did, but they didn’t see the lights. We had also booked the next night just in case. We skipped the 2nd night since we already saw it. We booked them because they pick up at our hotel, the Scandic Grand, which made it very convenient. This is a straight up company. I would book them again.
I had this tour 2 times in a week and would have again if I had more time there. Special thank you to Isabella, Martin, Nicolai, Jose for their kindness. They gave us all the details we needed and took very good care of us. The pictures are amazing, thank you for them too. The price of the tour is affordable. Hardly recommended tour, choose them if you want to have a lifetime experience.
Oktober 8, we were with Andreas Danielsen. The tour was amazing .He gave us tips on how to spot the aurora borealis. He gave all efforts to shoot the best pictures but never neglecting the saftety of everbody in the rocky grounds running to give assistance or support to his guests where necessary.
Our guide, Andreas and Nicolai, doesn’t only know where to find the best spot to view the lights but they definitely know what they are talking about. It does make a huge difference if the guide is locally grown :p). We did a few stops every time we see the lights and then camp at the beach with bonfire, hotdogs and drinks to keep us warm. And best of all, we came home with lots of beautiful souvenir photos. Highly recommend ‘Hello Tromso’.
We had an unforgettable experience with Hello Tromsø! The guide was passionate and knew exactly where to go for the best chance of seeing the aurora. We stayed warm by the fire with hot chocolate while the lights danced above us. Absolutely magical ❤️
Wonderful tour with a guide who is an expert at hunting northern lights and explaining the phenomenon. A very kind and attentive driver from Estonia. The photos the guide took of us and the instructions for taking them were clear and great for making our dream come true on the first try. We liked the bonfire on the beach, cooking our sausages, and the hot drinks. Thanks and happy from Tromso Patty, Belén, and Ale
Doug our guide told us a lot on the way about how the northern lights are created, about Tromso, the whales. We made several stops but unfortunately we didn't see it, just a little bit with the phone. But despite a cozy evening with hot chocolate, cookies, and you could warm sausages by the fire.
The experience went well, unfortunately it was raining and we could not see the Northern Lights. We were unlucky but the guide was sorry, he was great!
The aurora borealis were bad to see, the location was bad and the area not so exceptional. The fire was small for so many people and the photos left much to be desired. Very disappointing.
100% the right choice 🥇A mega tour just for us 3 people despite vague prospect of success we started and the very experienced Johann offered us a fantastic tour with beautiful northern lights sightings. Thank you for this experience By the way, he told us a lot about the history of Northern Ireland.
