They knew exactly where to find the northern lights . That was such an amazing experience. I would definitely go back with on this trip

Itinerary
Welcome aboard, everyone! We’re about to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure to witness one of nature's most mesmerizing spectacles—the Northern Lights! Our journey today takes us deep into the heart of Northern Norway, where we’ll chase the aurora through some of the most stunning landscapes of the Arctic. As we head out, you’ll be guided by a knowledgeable guide who knows all the best spots for catching a glimpse of the Aurora. With a group of up to 50 people, we’ll keep things fun and lively as we travel together, but there’s still plenty of space to relax and enjoy the ride. Plus, we’ll make sure you stay warm in your provided thermal suits, so you can fully enjoy the experience without worrying about the cold. We’ll pause along the way to enjoy a light snack, and if the weather’s just right, we’ll gather around a crackling fire for an authentic Arctic experience. Picture yourself surrounded by snow-capped mountains and the shimmering auroras above it’s truly magical.

Great experience and the guides managed to find us a great display of the lights even on a cloudy night :)
A great trip with Marie who was a very knowledgeable guide, fun and despite the windy weather remained upbeat and positive .. the landscape was breathtakingly beautiful.. thank you the northern lights just wonderful 💓
Absolutely great experience.
Sophia and Matteo were fantastic. Hunted the lights with skill and charm. Great guides on a special night. Thank you for a very memorable evening!
We had an excellent experience with Mr. Dag as our guide during our Tromsø trip. He was highly knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about sharing the beauty and history of the region. His friendly personality, patience, and attention to detail made everyone feel welcome and comfortable throughout the tour.Mr. Dag went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience, providing interesting local insights and always willing to answer questions. His enthusiasm and dedication truly enhanced our visit, making it both enjoyable and informative.Thank you, Mr. Dag, for being such an outstanding guide. We highly recommend him to anyone visiting Tromsø and looking for an exceptional tour experience. And a plus knowledge shared by Mr.Dag is, he told us a lot about Polar Bear and Whale. Really exciting.
I love our guide Lukas’ amazing energy, he is even more excited than us who are first time seeing the aurora. He is passionate in what he does and spreads his excitement to us. It was a memorable experience being able to witness the aurora while barbecuing hotdogs by the fire.
Wrap up well and be patient about seeing the Lights. Guides and driver were great and knew the best spots to bring us to
10/25/2026- Our guide Izak is knowledgeable about the northern lights. He tracked where we could best view it in a safe area. He & his partner set up the bonfire to keep us warm & to bbq the hotdogs. Offered hot cocoa, tea & coffee. Our driver is safe in navigating the one lane road in most areas, at night. Overall an amazing & unforgettable experience. Thank you Izak & his crew. Maria R.
It was a surreal experience..The sighting of Northern lights was magical....The guide Mr Matthew was very good...He is decent , helpful , sober and extremely polite...
Nicola and Maria are very nice and professional during my trip, taking care of all participants very well, such as providing the enough food, making fun vibes and also photos. However, the explanation of aurora was not easy to understand. This is because every knowledge of aurora is about science. I therefore would suggest tour team making easier to understand, making participants show more passion during the trip. In conclusion, it was a really nice experience, affordable and worth the money. Overall, I would rate it 9 out of 10
This tour really exceeded our expectations. We went with very low expectations with the lights being a natural phenomenon. But the guides knew where to go and when to go. We got to see amazing lights, with the sky fully lit up with dancing aurora all around. Just about to head back when the guide recommended to wait a few more minutes and we got to see another one of the majestic celestial performance. The overall team as well were very pleasant and friendly, full of gossip and knowledge. Highly recommended. The bus and food facilities were also great. Thanks Nikolai, our guide.
Maria &Sofia are absolutely amazing! They were energetic and very knowledgeable as well as fun. The driver Ahmed was very skillfull. Truelly recomend this team and company. The snacks were great especially hot chocolate. We moved around several spots chasing Miss Aurora and she didnt disapoint!
Our northern lights tour was a wonderful experience from start to finish, and very well organized. Lucas was an excellent guide, with great communication and a sense of humor that kept everyone's spirits up all night. The campfire was a highlight, and the veggie hot dogs and hot chocolate were a welcome treat while we waited for the lights. The photos taken on board turned out beautifully, and they're a great keepsake of the night. One small suggestion is to collect guests' emails at the start of the tour instead of the end, when everyone is tired and sleepy. The van ran out of battery, which was unexpected, but the team arranged a bus right away. The delay was short, and we got back without any real trouble. That quick, calm handling of a problem says a lot about the company. Overall I'd happily recommend this tour and would book again.
Martin was an avid expert and fanatic about northern lights. We saw them in 3 different spots and Martin knew where to find them. Great evening with food and hot drinks too.
Fantastic outing!!! Our guide, Martin?, was amazing... Very enthusiastic and and a pleasure to talk with
EXCELLENT!! Our guide Martin was fantastic, We saw every color of the rainbow at different stops for the Aurora. Campfire hotdog roasting was fun. Bus was very clean & comfortable. Highly recommend!
We saw a spectacular show of the aurora. Martin, our guide was amazing. He was very passionate about finding the aurora and took such great pictures for us. He made it fun and interesting with his stiries!! We would definitely recommend this tour,
Great experience, knowledgeable guide and a night to remember.
Great fun with fantastic Northern Lights . The team gave an excellent service … hot drinks and food very welcome ! It was like an adventure chasing the night sky with really good results especially so early on in the season . Thank you
We had a wonderful experience with the guide. They were very professional and provided guidance along the journey. We saw the lights in record time and we enjoyed the experience.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience on our Northern Lights excursion Our guide was amazing—very knowledgeable, friendly, fun, and incredibly patient she did a fantastic job explaining everything and making sure everyone had a great experience. Her enthusiasm and expertise made the evening even more special We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights, and it was truly unforgettable Highly recommend this excursion and especially this fantastic guide ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Driver and guide seemed very knowledgeable about parameters needed for optimal visibility. I appreciate that they took us to Finland for better weather. I was able to see Northern Lights on 1st trip to Artic Circle b/c of this tour. Thabk you!
This was an amazing tour!! My experience was great and they made me feel comfortable the entire time. I loved how small the group was and we could talk and get to know each other.
They should be aware that they have to respect the natural surroundings and also that the northern lights are an exhilarating experience of nature's creation and has to be seen in real to admire its sheer beauty.
Nothing extraordinary. Only good. Can you send me a link to get the pictures from yesterday. Or send me to my personal E mail. parodihouse@gmail.com
There were two guides with us on this coach trip to search for the Northern Lights. On the way, we were kept informed about how much further we would have to go to see the Lights, which ended up being across the Finnish border. Whether that location was planned originally was hard to say. Other tour buses were there when we arrived. Kudos to the intrepid bus driver who made it through blizzard conditions, without going off the road as at least 3 other vehicles did. Our biggest complaint was a failure to communicate on the part of the guides. On our arrival, apparently fire pits were set ablaze and my husband mentioned that we could get warm. When I went back behind the bus, I discovered that there was also a table set up with hot chocolate mix and cookies, which my husband had not seen. After seeing the Lights, we returned to the bus. Some minutes passed and then, the other guide came on the bus to announce the last call for hot dogs. That was the first we heard of any other food being served. We returned to the ship close to 3:00 a.m. after setting out at 6:00p.m. The second guide was very enthusiastic but very hard to understand. We did at least see the Northern Lights as white streaks in the sky.
The guides were great (Nicolai and Vivian), unfortunately we only saw a sliver of northern lights for a few seconds. They tried and we still had a really good time
Very good nus, very good and very friendly guides!! We got very good pictures afterwards from the guide, also from ourselves with the Northern lights!
I had a very good time on this tour. The guide Andrea explained so nice the kpi of the aurora and Nikolai was funny and took very nice pictures to all in the group. Jamie was such a good driver in that bad weather.
Wow! Beyond expectation. Our guides found spectacular northern lights when other tours the same night did not. Despite rain and cloud in Tromso our guides located clear skies and were prepared to travel to ensure we had the best opportunity. Kirstin and Nicolai were friendly, thoughtful and very knowledgeable - giving great commentary on the journey, arranging photos and campfire refreshments at the location. An amazing experience and well worth it. So pleased I chose this tour rather than others.
There was a snow storm in Tromso so we headed north to get out of it. The guides let us know that we might have to go as far as Finland to see them, but their goal was not too keep us out too late. We ended up going to Finland as the snow didn’t stop in Norway! It was worth it; the skies opened up for us and the time was of no consequence.
Great small group tour! Our guide, Tomas, went all out to find us the best lights of the evening! He was very positive and had great energy, considering the challenging weather! Would recommend!
The experience was fantastic and the staff is extremelly kind. My husband and I had a great tour (and great pics).
We didn’t get to see the lights. That’s ok, I know that they can’t control the weather. But the guide didn’t speak for more than 20 minutes the entire 6 hours. They turned around somewhat early due to the poor weather but mentioned many times how the arctic weather changes rapidly. It didn’t feel like there was any effort put forward. The 6 hour bus ride was filled with silence interrupted only occasionally by an announcement about poor weather and a single song to be played every 15 minutes. The guides were kind, but didn’t seem to know what they were doing and failed to do anything you would expect from a guide. I explained this to them afterwards asking for a refund (not due to the failure to see the lights) and Viator would not help due to the host denying it. I would not do this tour again, even at a discounted rate.
Amazing experience highly recommend We drove about 1-2 hours out from Tromso We got lots of views of the lights Just be patient it will happen
We were very lucky to have clear skies and th northern lights showed up early (7-9pm) and left by the time our hands and feet started getting too cold. We had the whole campfire experience with hot chocolate, sausages over a bonfire and amazing pictures from the tour. There were some hiccups with the bus towards the end but it was handled well by Isabel, Dak and our driver
Great. Isabell and team were very knowledgeable. Could not have asked for a better experience. The lights were spectacular.
Beautiful lights! We had a good night it seems and they were so bright. Would love to see them again!
The experience of a lifetime! This team knew what they were doing! All four people in our group agreed. Wonderful, knowledgeable and the best experience out of the four nights we searched for the Northern Lights.
I believe this tour offers two vastly different experiences depending on luck. If you are fortunate enough to see the northern lights, the tour probably feels amazing because, in the end, you achieved what you came for. However, if you don’t see the northern lights (which was my case), the company should handle the situation very differently. First, the weather forecast that day was clearly terrible. While no one can control the weather, the company knew in advance that the chances were extremely low, and some admitted from the start that it would not be possible. Despite this, they didn’t offer the option to cancel or postpone. Instead, the approach seemed to be: “Let’s go and try.” So we did. And it turned into seven hours on a bus, mostly in silence with the most expensive sausage bonfire out there. What surprised me most was the complete lack of effort to shape the experience, given the circumstances. Nobody can control the weather, but a great tour guide can absolutely control the atmosphere vibe and the experience. In difficult conditions, good guides usually step up: they explain the science behind the northern lights, share stories, engage the group, lift the mood, or create some sense of adventure. Just the day before I had a day tour with the same bad weather, but the guide made it enjoyable. None of that happened in this tour. There was no storytelling, no explanations, no energy from the guides, just long stretches of quiet driving in the dark under some rain. Eventually, we arrived at the camp, and unfortunately the experience didn’t improve much. There was no sense of trying to turn the situation around, no attempt to create a memorable moment despite the weather. A small fire was lit, sausages and hot chocolate were served, and that was essentially it. No conversation, no group interaction, no effort to build an atmosphere. To make matters worse, the camp itself was right next to a road, which didn’t exactly add to the wilderness experience. After about an hour, most people had simply gone back into the bus because it was cold and there wasn’t much happening. At that point the guides said we couldn’t continue due to the weather (even though other tour companies apparently did continue that night), so we headed back and “kept trying” on the drive home. In the end, the result was seven hours mostly sitting in a silent bus, in the cold and rain, with about one hour of sausage and hot chocolate by the fire, for €100... To be fair, the company does offer a 50% discount on a second tour if you don’t see the northern lights. However, I don’t think this policy really works in practice: 1. For many travelers, this may be their last night or last chance in Tromso. 2. Even if you have another day available, tours are often fully booked, so using the discount becomes impossible (which happened in my case). 3. A better policy would be a refund, or at least a guaranteed free second attempt, which some other companies in other places (like Rovaniemi) offer. The whole experience is about making people happy or at least the feeling they are trying: otherwise, don't offer it. I completely understand the business economics of running tours. But when the main attraction doesn’t appear, which is a common risk with northern lights tours, the company should focus on delivering a memorable experience regardless. Ironically, I was told this company was founded by two former tour guides. That may be true, but in situations like this, when conditions are bad and expectations aren’t met, the quality of guiding and experience design becomes even more important. Unfortunately, that’s exactly where this tour fell short. And to be honest, the feeling I was left is that perhaps this is the worst tour I have ever been. If you are in bad weather in Tromso, and still want to try the northern lights, try with another company. At least the guides might put in a better effort.
It was such a great experience. We were lucky enough to catch the Northern Lights and it was truly magical. A big thank you to the guides for their help and enthusiasm.
Trip was great! Doug, Isabell and Rashid worked very hard to ensure our experience. It didn't hurt that nature was all in line as well . Many many thanks.
We visited several locations outside the city of Tromso where we were able to see the Northern Lights. We traveled in a minibus with about 15 people, together with our guide Martin and a driver. The tour took about 5-6 hours. It was very entertaining and a wonderful experience. Everyone was very friendly, and I was incredibly happy to be able to see the Northern Lights! At the end, we had a campfire with grilled sausages. I can highly recommend this tour!
Very good service. Knowledgable , helpful and friendly guides. They tried very hard to take us where there was a possibility of seeing the NORTHERN lights, despise the fact that the weather wasn’t good at all, and we did see them. Unforgettable experience.
Even though the northern lights were weak and the weather was quite cloudy, they took us quite far from the city to find a better spot. They really made an effort to help us get a good angle and take photos, and in the end we managed to get some nice pictures. However, just as the lights started to become stronger, we began the return trip and drove back to Tromsø without stopping. Interestingly, the northern lights were still visible on the way back, and short stops along the way could have made the experience even better. There was also a bit of disorganization during the photo sessions, snacks, and the distribution of thermal clothing. Despite that, it was still a nice experience overall; our guides felt both experienced and sincere.
Fantastic experience. Great guides and driver. We travelled a long way but got an amazing view of the Northern lights. I really recommend Hello Troso.
Excellent tour with friendly very knowledgeable guides Dag and Nikolai. The northern lights were excellent. Worth every krone!!!
Friday 6 March Disappointing and dreary tour trying to make something out of nothing. Weather forecast was poor and ruled out inland areas and therefore meant kept to nearby fjord areas with very high gusting winds. Unfortunately and sadly the whole focus appeared to be on desperately seeking to set up a campfire, take photos and serve hot drinks at the expense of chasing the lights. Wrong focus completely. No lights visible to the naked eye bar a faint cloudly glow at one stage. Tried to convince us that it was a great show! One very good staff member who appeared knowledgeable about the physics of aurora and a great driver in horrid conitions but sadly one very rude member of team bordered on abusive and aggressive towards tour members who remained on bus including young women. A wasted evening. Avoid
We unfortunately didn’t get to see the Northern Lights, but the tour still ran exactly as scheduled and the coach was comfortable. The campfire stop was really nice — we had hotdogs, hot drinks, and toasted marshmallows, which made for a cosy and enjoyable experience despite the lights not appearing.
