Yesterday we joined Hello Tromsø for their big bus tour, taking in some of the incredible scenery that makes this part of Norway so special. One of the things I love most about Northern Norway is how dramatically the landscape changes. From towering mountains and beautiful fjords to picturesque little villages, there's something worth photographing around practically every corner. The scenery is quite extraordinary, and even after visiting this part of the world before, it never seems to lose its ability to impress. There's something rather humbling about being surrounded by landscapes that nature has spent millions of years creating. The tour was a lovely opportunity to get out of Tromsø, explore more of the surrounding countryside and appreciate just how spectacular this region really is. Naturally, my camera got quite a workout along the way! If you're visiting Tromsø, I'd certainly recommend making time to explore beyond the city itself. Northern Norway has so much more to offer than just the Northern Lights and whale watching, and a sightseeing tour is a great way to discover it. Thank you, Hello Tromsø, for a memorable day exploring this remarkable corner of the world!

Our experience was very good we took a bus to a few sites until our guide was happy that we would see the lights. Very knowledgeable guide.
Vivian was an excellent tour guide. Very personable, knowledgeable and well versed on all the sights. She is also an excellent photographer. Very interesting and informative. Definitely a must.
Very nice guide, but the loudspeaker sound was far too bad
2 issues with this trip. 1st the bus broke down. there was a problem with the windshield wipers. first someone came out to fix it then they sent a new bus. they organised the lunch which we we waiting to minimise lost time on the trip. this was good, except we were in a layby with no where to sit. we either stood up to eat or had to sit on the bus. The guide told us we would get some compensation if we contacted their head office. However when we did this the company was totally dismissive and said we lost no time so would get no compensation. Secondly the title says "wildlife". while I appreciate that wildlife is unpredictable this trip made no effort at all to look for any wildlife. The day after we decided to hire a car and saw reindeer as soon as we got to Kvaloy island. The guide was nice but some of her English was very accented and difficult to follow. I know its not her 1st language so don't want to be critical, but it just made it a bit difficult to get all the info. the views were lovely and we stopped to take in these views and take pictures which was nice.
Loved the experience and the sites! Elisa was able to give a bit of history around Tromso which was greatly appreciated.
Having been let down by an alternative operator who cancelled with just a few hours notice, we found Hello Tromso and booked onto their tour around the fjords and islands. SO pleased we did. The tour guide (Nicolai … sorry if I I have spelt that wrong) was so knowledgeable and told us so much about the landscapes, history and language of northern Norway. He took us to some beautiful places and the professional photos he took of us as we went around were shared freely at the end and were great to have. The nature walk on Sommeray was really nice and the packed lunch appreciated. Over all a great trip lead by a knowledgeable tour guide and really hope this new company does well. If you want a day away from the city, you won’t do better.
Having been let down by an alternative operator, we booked onto this tour and so glad we did. Our guide (Nicolai - SO sorry if i spelt this wrong ) was amazing and could not have been more helpful. Told us so much about the Norwegian history, language, landscape and made the day so enjoyable. The bus was ultra comfortable and stopped at several places for us the see the beauty of the landscape. The tour was quite quiet so we never felt herded and a sandwich lunch was included. Good value day out and well worth doing if you have a spare day in Tromso and want to explore. I believe Hello Tromso is a fairly new company so please support them - they doing a great job!
The tour takes around 5 hours and lots of driving around. We are picked up at the cruise terminal which is convenient. But they didn’t go to the tromso city center
It was a great experience. Our tour instructor had an immese knowledge about Tromso and was a lovely guy. We were provided with Sandwiches.
I had a great time. Lovely tour guide and driver. We stopped at beautiful spots and than had sandwiches& hot chocolate at out last stop.
Andreas our guide and driver was absolutely perfect. Very informative, polite, funny and ready to answer anything we asked him. The tour has the perfect duration in order to see a lot of things and not to be very lengthy. Thank Andreas for the perfect tour. All the best to you and your adorable children.
I had booked this tour months ago for a trip that I am currently on. The tour was scheduled for 10:00 a.m. (Meeting spot was in the city center) and was 5 hours in length. Keep in mind our cruise ship was docked from 8:00-6:00 (back on board at 5:00 and was around 10-15 minutes from the city center so the 10:00 start was just perfect. at 10:25 p.m. the night before the tour (which was after I went to sleep and I didn't see until the morning of the tour) I received a message stating they were adjusting the start time back to 11:30 a.m. which meant it would be scheduled to end at 4:30 p.m. (the last shuttle from the city center to the ship was at 4:30 p.m.). For me this was way too tight so sent a note to cancel me out and how disappointed this was to make this change in reality the day of the tour. To me this is very unprofessional. The cruise time never changed and the ship was on schedule. I didn't hear back from them about me cancelling until the next day where they told me the change was made to accommodate guests on the same cruise ship. This makes no sense as there was no issue with our guests getting to the meeting time at 10:00 a.m and this change meant that if one thing went wrong we would be late getting back to the ship. Poor communication and be careful of them changing things at the last minute. We had to scramble to find another tour that morning we were there.
What a beautiful tour it was....Kirstin was incredible...everything to make sure that all the clients were happy, confortable....Great views, nice lunch on a beautiful beach and to top this, beautiful pictures taken in each stop....Thank you for the very nice day we had in Tromso!
My trip to Tromsø was honestly one of those experiences that just sticks with you. This tour was fantastic. It never felt rushed or overly structured, just the right mix of exploring and enjoying the moment. Our guide was incredibly friendly, energetic, and genuinely helpful the entire time, which made a big difference in the overall experience. You could tell she really cared about making sure everyone was having a great time. She also shared interesting insights along the way, including knowing when and where good places to take the best photos!!! We even got to see an old abandoned WWII bunker, which was such a unique and memorable stop. Already booking my next visit to Tromsø and I am DEFINITELY taking another tour with them!!!
The guide, Kirsten, was extremely nice and positive. She was very knowledgeable and interesting. We stopped at several stunning sites.
I joined this tour in the morning and it was fullly booked with over 50 people on the bus. The guide did a good job explaining and guiding the large group. The views along the way were beautiful and the stops were great too. A basic lunch was provided in the form of a sandwich and hot drinks during one of our stops. Highly recommended to experience the amazing views of the arctic countryside.
Kirsten was our guide for the day and she could not have tried harder to give everyone a wonderful time. She gave so much information throughout the day on the area, the wildlife, Sami culture and life in Norway. The scenery was spectacular and we had stops on the way to take photos. Wildlife seen was seven seals and five white tailed eagles when we stopped for lunch at a family farm on the coast. We had a short wak to the top of a hill and the views were amazing. This coach trip is run by a family we were told who are supporting local businesses and they deserve support for the wonderful trip!
Good way to see the fjords and islands around Tromso. A little too long spent waiting for the slowest on the bus to take photos so this could have been managed a little better. Good informative guide and driver. Final stop at Hill Island was a nice touch, although the hotel-prepared sandwich (loaded on the bus at the start) could perhaps be improved.
Fantastic time with Kirsten, she could not have worked harder to give everyone a good time. She was so full of information about the area, the wildlife, Sami culture and information on each stop we made for photos. Scenery was breathtaking and we were lucky to see 5 white tailed eagles and seven seals during the tour. A fantastic experience and can highly recommend
I took the Big bus Fjord tour today and from the countless tours ive been on in 30+ countries now TRUST ME THIS WAS THE SINGLE BEST TOUR IVE EVER TAKEN. Kirsten our guide was phenomenal!!! It was a delight to be on this tour with her! She was so enthusiastic and informative - I felt really immersed in the landscape with her commentary + she also played local music for us and also made us try a local snack of waffles and brown cheese. She really took care of everyones safety and was super oragnised. This tour also comes with photos included and she made sure everyone got great photos at postcard locations. The places you go on this tour ARE BREATHTAKING. Also we were so fortunate to be hosted by a lovely local couple for a delicious lunch and some hot chocolate in their cabin by the sea - their hospitality was incredible - they really went above and beyond to make it special for us! Our driver was also amazing and ensured our safety. The company is new and run by locals who really care about the environment and sustainable tourism. 100/10 Cant recommend it enough!
We had a great day by roaming around and exploring all the beauty of nature. Places we could have not visit on our own. Our guide Antonio was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you very much!
A very original day tour outside of tromso city to see the fjords and beyond. Sit on a super comfortable, and new Mercedes minibus to see the fjords. End with a short hike with a fantastic view in a secluded and exclusive place. Served with sandwich lunch in a cosy cabin. More importantly, the tour guide cum driver, Andreas is super kind. He offered to pick one guest who is stuck in the heavy snow and another who got the meeting place wrong. He also recommended where the locals dine. Highly recommended, just go if you have an afternoon free.
Fantastic experience! Issac and Ivanna are spectacular. Luckily, the sky gave us an amazing show. Unforgettable! Thank you!
A beautiful tour of the islands of Tromsø. The guides talk a lot about nature and people and are always friendly. You have enough time to take photos or just to relax for a moment at the stop. A beautiful experience
It was a wonderful trip! We spontaneously booked a trip with Hello Tromsø today. Kirstin, our guide, and Omar, our bus driver, safely took us to the most beautiful places in Tromsø and the surrounding area. The bus was super clean and comfortable. Kirstin showed and explained all the sights to us during the bus ride. She was very well prepared, totally engaged, and with her knowledge, cheerful and open-minded nature, and her love for Tromsø, she inspired all of us. The tour lasted about 5 hours. We stopped at several stations where Kirstin always told us something about the surroundings and nature. Our destination was Sommarøy. Totally beautiful! Here we were provided with delicious snacks and drinks. We had enough time for a few great photos, a shared meal, and a little beach walk. Kirstin took great care of us! At our request, she took photos of us with her camera, which she sent to us via email on the same day. This trip was amazing! Everything was really perfect here. Thank you for the great day☀️ Iris, Ilke, and Kirsten
Everything was great and the tour guide was good.
Wonderful places and the guide Anastasia is very knowledgeable and thorough in her explanations. Thank you for everything Mirca
Very beautiful tour. The guides put in a lot of effort. The tour was also in German, which we greatly appreciated. Highly recommended.
It all worked out great: Punctual departure directly from the hotel, a very good travel companion with lots of interesting information through Kirstin, also in German;-). All stops were well chosen and coordinated with the travelers. Especially the island of Sommaroy with its beaches was fascinating. There was also a small snack here. We highly recommend the tour.
A beautiful excursion at a more than reasonable price, especially considering the very high cost of activities in Tromsø. Kirstin was a fantastic guide, she took great pictures (downloadable from the agency website) and on the bus journeys she provided a lot of interesting information. Between wonderful views and great entertainment, the six hours flew by!
The best guide Isaac, I highly recommend it because you see different landscapes Very complete tour of the fjords
The Tour was much longer than I imagined. The landscapes were astonishing; they cannot be portrayed in a photo. The Kirstin guide was friendly; I evacuate all our doubts and give us explanation of absolutely everything. I think it was the heart of the excursion. Thank you Kirstin for all the love you have given to the excursion on March 14th! You are wonderful!. Thank you very much
