We were a family of 6 young and old and Christina and Ken made this 5 hour trip amazing. They took the time to chat to everyone on the boat answered our questions with patience and knowledge. There were a deck of cards at each table and various information leaflets, complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits these details added a nice coziness . This tour was genuinely amazing. We loved every minute. The fish soup at the end of the day was glorious!

Fantastic day excursion to see the harbor and some nature. The entire crew was wonderful! The captain was kind and humorous, Christina did a great job assisting with wildlife spotting and fishing, and the delightful chef made some very tasty soup. Would recommend any of their tours to Tromsø visitors.
Amazing time with Christina our guide. She gave a lot of details of the islands, fjords, and animals we would see. She was super attentive. Fishing was fun and the lunch (fish soup) was delicious! Highly recommend doing this cruise. We were lucky and had great sunny weather so the weather was very calm for us.
Knowledgable skipper and crew. They know their history, nature, fish and the animals of the region. Tasty lunch.
Amazing experience ! The team was super kind and could answer all our questions. We got to catch some pretty big fish which were cut on the spot and cooked in the soup. We also saw some wild Eagles from extremly close I would highly recommend this experience
Very good experience even thought we can’t get any fish. Christina is very patient and knowledgeable to explain all the animal features. Well equipped boat with 2 decent toilets, thermal jackets and hot drinks. Fish soup tastes good.
10/10! A wonderful, friendly relaxed experience. Felt totally at home on the boat. The team are just so lovely and knowledgeable. It’s an incredible experience on the water and the fish soup is incredible. A total must for your Tromsø visit
it was more cruise experience, not fishing. Staff was pleasant, but for fishing they don't had sonar. From 25 passengers we only caught 2 fish
Amazing and relaxing trip. Super nice crew and great views. We get to fish and cough some Atlantic cod.
Great experience!! A perfect look into the arctic fjords with interesting facts on the local wildlife and Tromso culture. Despite the cold and windy weather, it was still completely worth it! The guides provided thermal suits, which allowed us to stay outside and do some fishing. Someone in the group caught a cod that was used for one of the best fish shoups I had in my life (thanks Paolo!). Overall, great experience with super friendly guides at a reasonable price compared to other offers.
Crew went above and beyond, they were very attentive and informative on our trip. My children 7 and 5 had the most amazing time, they could join in and had a special job of helping the captain! Thank you for such a fab day! 🥰
Great experience. Loved the narrations of Tobias during the trip. Took tewo trips with this company and both were great experiences. Very competent and experienced team of Tobias, Olek, Frida, Iryna, Dennis and Captain Kimmo. Thanks to you all for making our tours memorable.
The whole crew was wonderful and the scenery was absolutely beautiful, Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to see the Fjords
Absolutely loved this experience with my two sons. Very friendly and helpful guides made the trip so enjoyable and fun. Unfortunately, I never caught any fish, but we did spot a few white tailed eagles on the fjord islands. The stew served on board was lovely. Highly recommend this trip
This is an excellent trip reallly made by the crew. The scenery and wildlife is beautiful and even in cold conditions it’s hard to just not want to be outside the entire time! If you are in Tromso I would recommend doing this tour or similar as it’s a great way to get out of the city and see beautiful locations The only negative I would say is they allow too many people on these boats, so in around 5 hours of cruising we probably only ended up on a fishing rod for 20-30 minutes and whilst the crew were great and helped rotate with 5-10 less people it could become a brilliant experience and probably more likely to catch fish
Christina is a wonderful guide who does her utmost to make sure everyone has a good time. She is very sweet and takes good care of her guests on board. The cook was also extremely sweet and enthusiastic. What lovely people. Together they make a great team. The views from the boat are beautiful. We saw eagles and foxes. In the afternoon, we were allowed to fish ourselves. My daughter caught the biggest fish, which was filleted by Christina and then we enjoyed a delicious fish soup made by our wonderful Chef. What a wonderful day! Highly recommended.
Great tour, really enjoyed it. Good fishing. Lunch was tastier than in a restaurant. Thank you so much
Absolutely amazing experience. Great views, seen a lot of animals and caught a big fish. Ken was very nice guide and Kalina cooked the most delicious fish soup for us. Highly recommended
The crew were so kind and friendly and the trip itself was amazing. The view was breathtaking! The fishing experience was so much fun and the soup and fried fish was superb.
Lovely view of the city and snowcapped mountains and countryside. The fish soup and bread were delicious. The crew was friendly and accommodating.
What an incredible day!! First, the staff is top notch. They were all very friendly and helpful. We traveled with our five-year-old daughter and everyone was so gracious. The Captain let her sit in the first mate’s chair in the Captains Quarters! The views of the fjords were stunning and the wildlife - white tailed eagle and red foxes - were majestic in their natural habitat. The fishing was wonderful! Almost everyone who wanted to fish caught a fish! One the way back we enjoyed delicious fish soup! I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a little adventure and some picturesque views of Tromso’s landscape!
Very fun! The crew was friendly and helpful, the soup was delicious, and the view of the fjords and wildlife was beautiful! We saw eagles and someone on our boat caught a fish!
My son and husband and I enjoyed the tour very much. Husband caught an Atlantic cod. The views of the mountains and homes were beautiful with the snow. We learned a lot about Tromso and Norway from our guide Ken. Loved the snacks and fish soup made from everybody’s catch. The soup was delicious and we got the recipe from the chef on board.
Just a wonderful experience. Great views of the snow covered fjords. All staff very engaging, knowledgeable and fun. Incredible scenery including white tailed eagles. Fishing was fun. Tasty soup. Loved the unlimited hot chocolate and cookies. Highly recommended.
Boating through the fjords and taking in the views while drinking endless hot chocolate was so much fun! The guide and cook were fantastic and super friendly. We got to stop a few times to fish. A few people in our group were able to catch some fish which the cook put in the soup for lunch. It was delicious! The only reason I am rating this a 4 instead of a 5 is because we wish we were able to fish longer than just a few minutes in the areas we stopped. Other than that it was fantastic!
We had a wonderful time on this excursion. Christina and the other crew members were informative and entertaining. We saw white tail sea eagles swooping down for the herring tossed out by the crew. My wife caught a 5.5 kg cod which became part of our delicious fish soup. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cookies were available throughout the cruise. The scenery is beautiful. Highly recommend this excursion.
Great experience, the crew is very attentive and informative. Everyone was super friendly and we had some nice chats with the crew. We saw lots of wildlife, for example eagle, dolphines and jelly fish! The fishing was very fun and we even caught some fish that we then ate in the delicious fish soup that was prepared by the sweet cook. I definitely recommend the trip!
The crew was very friendly and knowlegeable. This was so fun, including fjord cruising, wildlife spotting, fishing, and a fish soup lunch made from our catch.
The hosts did everything they could to make our trip enjoyable. The fishing was great, we spotted an eagle and the lunch was delicious
Roger; Christina and Stephanie were amazing! The Fjord and Fishing Cruise was one of our very top tours in Norway! The team was exceptional with information; hospitality; food; knowledge and fun on this trip. Highly recommend this team! Excellent!
Book this one, you won’t regret it! We loved this tour! Stephanie was incredible! My husband said this was the highlight of the trip for him. We fished, ate, laughed, everything you could want. The fish soup was very tasty!
Very friendly and informative. Keep their eyes open for wildlife and point them out. Very organized. A delight!
Second time we've done this. The crew really takes care if their guests. Soup and bread are delicious. Saw porpoises and white-tailed eagles. Caught cod on or April trip and nothing in July. Others on the boat caught cod and coal fish. Bad luck for us for fish but good for eagles. It was rainy but will still had a great time. Scenery is fantastic.
A fishing tour with dolphins, puffins, white-tailed eagle and a catch (fish :) ). The snow clad mountains around the fjords are impressive. The crew is informative and friendly.
Wonderful day. Crew was very engaging and helpful, especially with those limited experience fishing. Amazingly clean bathroom. Perfect way to spend 5 hours. Less than 5 minute walk from our Azamara cruise ship. Price is very reasonable. Soup was heavenly.
Beautiful boat trip on the fjords around Tromso. Great crew, offered a lot of information. Fishing activity was more fun than anyone initially though. Fish soup was amazing
This boat trip was a must-do experience! I had a blast riding on the water, learning the history and ecology, and fishing the local waters. As someone coming from a landlocked city, I really enjoyed the open water experience. Holly and Captain Roger made us feel right at home and taught us everything we needed to know to enjoy the experience. The nature is pristine, and we were able to spot plenty of unique wildlife, birds of all kinds, even eagles. At one point we rocked into a historical port previously owned by NATO - the area is goregous and lively. The boat is clean and welcoming. Complimentary tea, coffee and water, along with plenty of cookies to start, but once the finishing began, Chef Holly made us a delicious fish stew with vegetables using the fresh caught cod we worked for. It was an extremely rewarding experience, and my first time catching a fish. Would definitely recommend for people of all ages and backgrounds! The water was not as nauseating as I thought too! Just remember to bring layers for the cold winds - I didn't, and there were overalls with a hoodie that kept me warm, so really you should be fine! 10/10 experience!!
This polar fjord and fishing trip was one of the highlights of our visit to Tromsø. Stephanie, our guide, was super friendly and knowledgeable. She also gave us great advice on islands to visit during our stay.
The boat trip was perfect from beginning to end, with the crew making everyone feel welcome and very informed throughout. Great scenery, great fishing and excellent food and drinks. Well done polar experience team.
Fantastic cruise through spectacular scenery with very friendly and informative guides. White Tailed Eagles diving down to catch fish were the highlight of the tour. The opportunity to fish for Atlantic Cod was fun but unproductive on our tour. Lunch was a very good fish soup (fortunately they didn’t have to rely on using our catch) All in all a great and highly recommended trip.
First the great parts 1. Great way to see the fjords. 2. The staff and crew were super friendly, energetic and really helped make the cruise go by very fast. 3. We saw lots of interesting wild life (sea eagle) and the frozen part of a fjord. In short, highly recommended!! Other info: The fish soup is nice ( I liked it!) but it’s not lunch sized unless you are a small eater. Why is this not this 5 stars? There was lack of clarity in their comms that the pick up address was changed. (When I read the email I thought they meant the main message was that they changed their ship). So we went to the wrong location and had to double back. it was a good thing we had given ourselves 15-20 min extra to arrive in time or else we may hv missed the boat! In my opinion, for something as important as an address change, it should be marked very clearly at the start of the message that is sent. Keep in mind we are on the road and I am accessing all this info on a small screen on a phone.
Trip was a great success. Scenery was exceptional. Saw the White Eagle, caught a cod off the boat. They cleaned our fish for us and we ate it on the boat!
Had an amazing time on the fjord tour! The staff was so young, energetic, and incredibly helpful, making the whole experience even better. Our guide, Holly, was absolutely fantastic—funny, engaging, and full of detailed, informative stories about the area. And the fish soup? Hands down the best I’ve ever had! (And I'm coming from Gdańsk!) Highly recommend this tour for a great mix of adventure, cosiness, great company, and delicious food!
Thanks to the friendly crew for creating such a wonderful experience. Beautiful scenery, interesting lore, delicious soup from fresh caught cod! Highly recommend.
Lovely day on the boat. The weather was overcast and cold so we put on the warm suits. Very cold and windy out fishing but great fun. We enjoyed seeing the eagles and managed to get some pictures. The crew we very knowledgeable and helpful.
Amazing experience. Our tour guide holly was so informative, helpful and funny, she really made our experience special. We saw dolphins, eagles and beautiful views of the fjords and Tromso. My first time fishing and I managed to hook a fish, it was so exciting but sadly the fish got away. The fish soup was delicious and there were lots of tasty refreshments to keep us going throughout the day. It was a wonderful experience and I would recommend the tour to anyone.
The boat was comfortable, warm, the crew very welcoming, there were complimentary hot drinks and cookies , as well as an extraordinary fish soup with refill possible . For those wanting more, there were fish burgers, waffles and salty snacks available at the bar. The cruise was very nice and we were all given a chance to catch some fish. Unfortunately the wildlife was practically absent în this season.
Best trip we made in a busy mini break in Tromso. Guides are knowledgeable, friendly and informative. There are drinks and snacks available for free as well as a fish soup. Other local snacks available for purchase at competitive prices. Recommend the arctic fish burger!
Excellent boat trip. Staff were enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Raul was excellent and made the trip explaining the geology and the local history. We saw the Eagles and learned so much in the trip.
It was a well organised trip with very friendly and helpful guides, we enjoyed the hot drinks , biscuits and delicious soup, we wasn’t lucky with seeing wildlife apart from some eagles, but we were given interesting local history along the outward and return trip. The best bit was the fishing experience which most of us caught fish on our lines.
