Tromsø Fjords Tour Of Kvaloya And Sommaroy

We had a really nice day exploring the Norwegian countryside. Edgar was friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to stop for photos and even took pictures of us with our own cameras and phones. We saw some beautiful scenery, enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Sommarøy Hotel (the fish soup was delicious), and even got to photograph a herd of reindeer on the way back. Edgar stopped the bus so we could get pictures, and I even got some of two reindeer wrestling! It was a really fun day, and Edgar was a fantastic guide.

Absolutely stunning tour! I can’t remember their names but our tour guides were a husband wife duo and they were so amazing! Our daughter went a little too far into the shore and got her shoes/socks wet. Luckily they were prepared and had backups for her! Super knowledgeable about the culture in Tromsø!

Comfortable driving experience. Very pleasant and knowledgeable guide. Interesting points of information about Norwegian life and culture as well as locations visited.

Valentina took us around and explained everything in detail. Lunch was included and it was great. Entire trip was awesome.

We had a great time with Martin, very friendly and knowledgeable, we not only saw but alse learned a lot. I would recommend this tour and this company to anyone, whether you have a disability or not.

The guide was excellent but I was expecting bit more than what we saw

My husband and I arrived in Tromso a couple of days prior to our expeditionary cruise. We booked this local tour based on reviews of others. We’re so happy we did! Our guide, Valentina was wonderful…so knowledgeable!! We stopped and explored so many places that we would have missed if we were on our own! Such a great way to see and learn about Tromso! Highly recommend!!

We had quite nice, sunny weather most of the day and could enjoy wonderful landscapes of Kvaløya and Sommarøy. Our guides, Valentina and Martin, were friendly and funny and very knowledeable. As we travelled, we met also a few reindeer wandering about; so we learnt about some fascinating ways how reindeer are adjusted to living in severe arctic conditions. In the bus a playlist with Sámi joik was on. Guess what, since then I search my Spotify for more joik to listen to.

Terrific experience really enjoy my trip of the fjords with this company.we had a small group which was nice valentine had great knowledge of both fjords!we got sent photos of our trip by email which was a lovely memory of my trip.highly recommend Tromso Accessible tours And a nice touch at the end we got reflector strip which we could use walking around in the evening.

It’s a value for money trip, drive through most scenic places e.g. fijords, valley and Sommeroy including perfect spots to stopover to take wonderful photos. Our guide Velentina and Martin was super knowledgeable and helpful. It’s a perfect tour to do with family specially if you have small kids.

Louai was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took us to some lovely stops along the way and sent us some really nice photos. The lunch was also great.

Enjoyed the tour with Martin. He was a great guide. Interacted well with the group, funny and provided interesting info to make the trip fun. Also took great photos which he shared promptly. Stopped at various locations around the island which were magical. Buffet soup and dessert lunch included which was great.

We done the Fjord tour with Valentina and it was amazing! The views were incredible and Valentina was an amazing tour guide! Very friendly, very informative and made the whole tour 10x better!

This fjords tour was beautiful, and Valentina made it even better. She was warm, easy to be around, and a very good driver. The whole day felt relaxed and smooth. She picked great spots to stop — nothing random, nothing rushed — just the right places to take in the views and enjoy the moment. The drive through Kvaløya and out to Sommarøy was stunning, lunch was lovely, and everything flowed naturally. Valentina’s care and good choices really showed throughout the tour.

From the onset Martin is warm and welcoming and very chatty. His enthusiasm is infectious and his local knowledge was impressive. The landscape and terrain of Kvaløya and Sommarøy is breathtaking taking and Martin made regular stops at beautiful locations to allow us take photographs. And offer to take photos of our group as a free inclusion of the service. The lunch at the Sommarøy hotel was similarly high quality and plentiful. Far from being a quiet drive around the islands and fjords this tour was everybody the interactive journey full of stunning scenery, information and the jovial wit of a very welcoming and knowledgeable guide.

Had a wonderful trip on the "Fjords Tour of Kvaløya and Sommarøy" with Martin and 3 other tourists. We made 5 stops on the way to Sommarøy Arctic Hotel along the northwest route and another 2 stops, along the southeast route, while going back to Tromso. Martin shared many of his knowledge and experience of Norway and its region and the scenery is fabulous. We totally enjoyed the trip and would recommend 'Tromsø Accessible Tours' to anyone.

Very successful travel. I am a amateur photographer looking after northern lights, and having had a very bad experience last year in Iceland.Chasing northern lights, it was OK, with two nights of success out of 3. Very good installations and food, very kind and careful people. I recommend for photo lovers. We were by ourselves but for a visit with dinner to the Sami people.

Our tirp with Tromsø Fjords Tour of Kvaloya and Sommaroy trip is wonderful. The Tromsø Fjords is absolutely breathtaking! Fjords is a kind of nature magic you can only see in a few countries, among which Norway Tromso Fjords is absolute a must have. The scenery here is like a postcard. Nature truly outdid itself here. 100% worth the trip! Our tour guide - Anastasia, a very professional and dedicated guide, she is always knowledge about all the sites and also very patient to give us more details for the scinery we have visted. She is full of energy and willing to answer all our questions about Tromsø or other fjords. She is a five-stars tour guide! A small tips, need to bring more clothes, it could be very cold even in summer.

Martin provided a wonderful 5 and a half hour tour for my wife and me and 8 others (all from the same cruise ship) in a van to see the Tromso-area fjords. The tour included a light, excellent lunch at a beautiful spot on one of the smaller islands. Martin is a fabulous guide - warm, friendly, engaging, flexible, and knowledgeable, and with good command of English. He was eager to meet the group’s needs. He takes great photos (optional) which are available free-of-charge for “screen” quality, with an extra charge for higher quality resolution. We had a great day and recommend Martin very highly!

Wonderful tour, of Tromso Fjords of Kvaloya and Sommaroy. Martin is a great guide - - knowledgeable, entertaining and enthusiastic. The lunch stop was a nice break at an attractive hotel. Highly recommended.

Had a surreal experience: Journey,landscapes,fjord and culinary cuisine specific to the locale. Kudos to our tour guide Louai for being more than a travel guide but giving insights to the Norwegian lifestyle, Scandinavian geo dynamics. Would highly recommend him for any future Viator tours in the region. On a personal note Louai went out of his way to bring back our back pack which we happened to leave behind. Louai is indeed a true Norwegian ambassador to his clientele coming from all over the world. Thankyou for the wonderful memories we take break with us of this experience.

Excellent trip to cover the surrounding islands from Tromso. Louai our guide explained the culture and traditions of the local people very well. Loved the pristine nature specially the frozen landscapes and the beautiful fjords. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our half day tour with Marina who was a great guide. She was very helpful and accommodative of our requests especially since we had our 3 year old kid with us. If you are someone who enjoys nature, this tour will take you through some of the best sceneries around tromso away from the city. Highly recommend this for all fellow tourists! We had a fantastic time with our amazing guide Bruno, who took us to some beautiful places around Tromso and was very considerate towards our needs. The vehicle was perfect for my wife’s wheelchair to access easily and we would highly recommend

Beautiful minibus tour with our guide Marina. We saw beautiful landscapes, with the possibility of stopping at the most interesting places. Marina is knowledgeable and very helpful. Definitely a tour to book if you are in Tromso.

The tour was excellent! The places and the roads were as amazing as expected even with the snowy weather. The guide was very nice and knew how to keep the attention high during all the trip. Also, he was very sensitive to the needs of all the participant to the tour. Highly recommended! Very very good the lunch, with a fantastic fish soup and vegetable soup. During the road trip with had the possibility to spot some wild animals (seal, reindeer, birds...). The tour overall was very fun and we spent a beautiful day.

We had a very beautifull day with a small group seeing the Fjords. Our guide Martin was very friendy, had lots of humor and gave us a lot of information. The lanscape was amazing! We even made an extra stop to see reindeer. The lunch at the hotel was excellent. We had a wonderfull day. I would highly recommend this tour.

This tour was a great way to see the fjords by road, in a small group - the minibus held 7 of us, which was much more “cosy” than some of the other tours. Martin went out of his way to make the tour not only informative, but also entertaining for all the ages in the tour. Seeing the fjords, wild reindeer and ancient drawings was satisfying, and the stop for lunch provided us with a simple but tasty break, served by happy, friendly staff. 2 of the tour had mobility issues, Martin’s attention to their wellbeing was notable, and as a result they enjoyed their experience greatly. Nice work, Martin, takk!

Had the happiest day, Martin our tour guide made the experience such a pleasure. The fjords were stunning, the other guests were great company and the small group made it a relaxed day. The hotel stop for lunch was in the most beautiful of settings and the fish soup was delicious . The staff catered for all food intolerances without any fuss. Loved it. Marnie x

Unfortunately this tour was not worth it. Despite the weather being snowy and low visability, the tour guide was lovely but uneducated on tromso and the fjords. She had just moved here a few months back, throughout all the driving and journey it was silent and she was giving us no information about the sights and things we were passing by. The food is not a 2 course meal, it is a small bowl of soup and some stale bread with a portion smaller than a scoop of ice cream for dessert. The dessert was a dry and hard cake, all taken buffet style at the sommaroy hotel. I will not be returning or recommend this tour.

I was very delighted by this tour! The group was small and very nice, we traveled by minibus. Our tour guide Bruno told us about the places we visited, the Norwegian culture, life and also about the Sami culture. He led us to beautiful scenic places and took nice pictures of us. We had very delicious lunch at the Sammorøy island. We talked about many topics and had a great time. I recommend this tour. You can learn a lot and visit places you wouldn't visit yourself.

Amazing trip with Bruno. He was very knowledgeable and passionate. The scenery was stunning and we even saw the stratospheric clouds which Bruno told us all about. Lunch at the hotel was also very nice. Book with this company you will be well looked after.

We had a fabulous day on 11th Jan when we took a fjord tour to Sommaroy with guide, Bruno! Not only did Bruno go above and beyond to tell us facts about the country and regale us with the history of the Sami people, he also stopped along the route many times to show us some lesser-known wonders of the Norwegian Fjords! Bruno really made this tour special with his effervescent personality and genuine passion and enthusiasm for the country and its people - I would recommend any of his tours!

We has the absolute best day out! We were lucky enough to be the only couple on the trip with Bruno, our amazing guide who couldnt do enough for us. He couldn't have been more friendly, informative and helpful...such a nice guy. The scenery and places he took us to were breathtakingly beautiful. Stunning frozen fjords, remote, beautiful beaches and glistening mountains. The lunch at the hotel was also extremely tasty. You will not be disappointed in this trip...it was well worth it and a highlight of our holiday.

Nature at it's best Marina took us to see the fjords and islands and it was a beautiful experience. The views were spectacular and we got to learn about the area. Thanks to Marina for an unforgettable trip.
