An absolutely unforgettable Aurora experience! I am genuinely impressed by the entire trip, from beginning to end. Seeing the Northern Lights dancing across the Arctic sky was truly magical — one of those once-in-a-lifetime moments that stays with you forever. A special mention goes to our exceptional driver, Angel, and our wonderful tour guide, Frederica. Both were absolutely fantastic and contributed so much to making this experience special. Their professionalism, kindness, enthusiasm and dedication made the entire trip even more enjoyable. You could genuinely feel that they cared about giving everyone an amazing experience. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I couldn't be happier that I chose this tour. The atmosphere, the excitement, the beautiful surroundings and the opportunity to witness such an incredible natural phenomenon made this evening truly special. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Tromsø. If you are lucky enough to witness the Aurora, you will understand why people travel from all over the world for this moment. Amazing people, an incredible experience and memories I will cherish forever. Thank you, Angel and Frederica, for such a wonderful evening!

Booking with Tromsø Accessible Tours was easily the best decision we made for our trip. We did the whole package with them—Northern Lights hunting, a fjord tour, and whale watching—and saw incredible lights and scenery throughout. What stood out most was how well they handled accessibility. They don't just check boxes; they actually think through the practical steps of getting around and build the schedule around what works for you. The whole team was warm, calm, and knew their stuff, sharing a lot of good history and local context along the way without making anything feel rushed. Whether you need accessibility support or you're just traveling with someone who does, they take good care of you. Highly recommend them if you want a reliable, well-run tour.
Our guide Michael is professional and friendly, he manage to find us a place to see northern lights in Finland and it is wonderful
Martin and Miguel were such great guides! They really made sure my wife, who has a disability, was completely comfortable and enjoying the exeprience. They educated us all on the Northern Lights, took great pictures, had great snacks/drinks, and went the extra mile (quite literally) to find the lights on a very cloudy/snowy/rainy night. They were both multi-lingual too, so our tour was in Spanish for my wife, but they each spoke something like 6 languages each! The definition of accomodating. I couldn't recommend them enough!
I went on the Accessible Aurora Chase excursion of 7 February 2026, organised in conjunction with a Fred. Olsen Cruise. I had initial misgivings about this excursion, given that the price was £225 and because a previous, similarly themed, excursion, priced at £145 - run by a different company - consisted simply of driving around (including across the border to Sweden) to a couple of car parks where there was too much ambient light for the miserable aurora appearances we got to be decently visible. Anyway, I needn't have worried. Martin, the TAT owner and driver, used a Whatsapp group to locate the best viewing places, in terms of cloud cover, then he sought updates and kept us informed. After that, it was simply a question of waiting and hoping for the lights to make an appearance. At minus 12 degrees, several of us got extremely cold but we could wait in the van and Martin provided alternative warm boots, hand warmers, hot drinks, etc. where necessary. Eventually we decided to drive around a bit, but Martin knew what he was doing and stuck around the same area, expecting something to happen. It duly did - albeit a little overdue!! At this stage, Martin had a tripod and camera ready to take single, couple and group pictures with the aurora as background. These were e-mailed a couple of days later and were of very good quality. I did get very cold but the TAT organisation did pretty well everything possible to ensure my comfort and make the experience memorable for the right reasons (given that actually seeing the lights is in the lap of the gods). The price is high but this outfit really justifies it!
We went out for the Aurora hunt with Rita. She was a great guide, cheerful, informative and looked after us very well with a good campfire, soup and bread, hot chocolate and cookies. We were fortunate and saw the lights dancing and were sent complimentary photos by email shortly after our tour.
It was the most spectacular experience of a lifetime. Of course no one can forecast the space conditions but we had a combination of the best solar flares and Louai who knew where to find them. A 40 minute drive from Tromsø. Take a look at his pictures. He says it was in his top 5 autora hunts. Soooo lucky, so accessible. Stayed in my chair throughout including around a campfire with beautiful veggie soup and hot chocolate. PLEASE wear all of your layers. It was -4° the night we went.
6 of us travel together with one person have reduced mobility who need to travel on wheelchair. We communicate with Disabled Accessible Travel and been connect with Tromso Accessible Tours. Jo and Jackie offered big helps for our tour from fixing the date to checking on our wheelchair size, our size for tick winter outfit etc. However, we need to postpone our tour date by two days due to bad weather condition. Though we do not seem much aurora lighting but it is an excellent travel experience for all of us. Really enjoying the atmosphere of siting around campfire for a cup of hot soap. Thank you Martin.
This was the highlight of our trip to Norway. We felt confident knowing that our aurora tour could be enjoyed by our whole family, including my 81-yr-old mother in law. This was a bucket list experience for her, and Tromsø Accessible Tours delivered. I'm so glad this business exists. Martin, the founder, was our aurora tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and fun. We also did their Sami Reindeer Experience with Marina, who was fantastic. Couldn't recommend them more!
So happy the Tourist office has connected us with this Tour company. They have accepted us with a small baby and the tour went great! Our guide was very friendly, welcoming and kind. We loved every second of this adventure.
We arrived in Tromso on the Viking Vela in late January. My wife is bound to a wheelchair and we had an excellent tour searching for the Northern Lights. The tour guide was very informative and helpful. He built a nice fire and we were able to scan the skies. The tour van picked us up and returned us to the ship st the pier. We were signed up for a reindeer ride in Sami Village but bad weather prevented us from getting off the ship. Coordination with the TAT staff, Jo, Max and Martin was very easy and they kept us informed prior to arrival in Tromso. We highly recommend anyone needing assistance who wishes to enjoy a tour in Tromso to highly consider Tromso Accessible Tours. Al & Jan S. Mount Dora, Fl
He brought us to a parking space directly on the highway right in front of a salmon farm which was heavily illuminated. Despite our protest we stayed there for the whole evening. Obviously we didn’t see anything. It seemed that the guy had not other place to go, he had no clue because he was not local!!! It came out he was from Buenoss Aires!!! It sounds like a bad joke: we traveled a lot and spent a lot of money to see the northern lights expecting a local guide , who knows the hot spots. Instead we had a guy from Argentina, who had no clue about the local hot spots. Stay away from this guy, it is waste of time and money!
The experience was amazing, we were able to see the lights within a short time of leaving the hotel - the guide was very kind and accommodating - beautiful pictures and life changing experience all around
We enjoyed all the tours booked with them. We did the reindeer experience and then we do a 2 night private chase. They were very helpful and responsive from the start. They had asked for all the details they needed from us and then had the thermal suits and others all included. They were all very nice and helpful. Tours were comfortable. They had the coffee, tea, hot coffee and the soup on the tours. We had the thermal blankets and they also did the fire for us both nights, with the setup of chairs and all. We felt we were with family. They took very good care of us. We highly recommend them for any tour that you want to take in Tromso. Seeing the aurora was the highlight of the trip.
We had a great experience with Tromso Accessible Tours (we booked with Northern Light Tours but I guess they are co-operating). It's a small group tour for six on a van which my husband and I really liked this warm and cozy group. We arrived Tromso on Christmas Eve which was a very windy day. Our guide, Bruno, found a wonderful site where we were safe and well-sheltered from the wind. He prepared the yummie hot vegan soup with bread, hot chocolate and even a bottle of sparkling tea for us to celebrate Christmas. We were super excited to witness a cloudy sky changing into a stunning aurora show. Awesome! Bruno answered all our questions and took care of everyone's need all the way. He took photos for us and sent them over after the trip. Highly recommended the tour and their wonderful services.
“I can’t say enough good things about this tour! Martin and Marina were outstanding guides who made the experience unforgettable. Despite challenging cloudy conditions, they were relentless in chasing down the northern lights until we finally found them. Their dedication paid off, and we were rewarded with a spectacular view of the aurora. They were informative, friendly, and kept us engaged throughout the night, sharing fascinating insights about the lights and the best ways to capture them. We enjoyed a delicious soup and hot chocolate by a cozy fire they built, which added to the magic of the experience. I even picked up fantastic camera tips from Martin to capture the lights myself, and they had an excellent camera to take a stunning photo of me under the aurora. I was impressed with how inclusive and accessible the tour was; one guest who used a wheelchair was fully supported and got to share in the awe of the northern lights, just like the rest of us. We also had a family with two young kids on the tour, so it’s definitely suitable for all ages. All in all, I’m beyond thrilled with the evening. Thank you, Martin and Marina, for making this a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
We understood that it might be cloudy so went out two nights to find the Aurora. Our guide worked very hard to find it. We were successful. I like a small group vs large so highly recommendTromso accessible tours.
Amazing! Bruno was perfect guide. I reearned my self-confidence . Even the night was cloudy he found a clear gap at the sky so the observation of aurora would be possible
This is a great company! If you are in need of an accessible tour, I would highly recommend them. My wife is in a wheelchair. We booked the aurora lights tour and the reindeer tour and both we excellent from start to finish. They took very good care of us.
We were a group of 21 people (including one with mobility limitations) among family and friends in Tromso. Martin helped us to organize our itinerary which included aurora hunting, visit the fjords and the Sami experience with sledging and even picked us up at the airport;) Everything went well, the guides Valentina and John very professional. They gave their best so that we could enjoy every activity and ample and enjoyable information about the whole environment and the auroras. Thank you very much and with God's favor we will return!!!
Even if it wasn’t won, thanks to Bruno our Guide’s tenacity, we were incredibly lucky to realize Pierrette’s dream (our mother and grandmother) and were able to admire the Northern Lights. Eager to share his knowledge, Bruno is a companion with little care for his passengers. We are even convinced that he hears the Northern Lights. We highly recommend this memorable excursion.
