Andreas did a great job guiding us, takingbus to the best spots for seeing aurora, providing useful information, taking great professional pictures and being a very knowledgeable, passionate and kind person!

This tour was amazing . The guide and operator Espen was truly a professional. We did not have to go far since the sky was clear and he was an expert at locating and determining when the lights would come out. I never expected to see amazing lights for over 4 hours sitting over a spot on Artic ocean 30 Minutes away. The pictures we took were amazing and the group had pictures taken by him and they weee astounding . The free and snacks and hot drinks were great and helped to stay warm . Espen was exp along the history of the area and the stories of the lights from thousands of years back. Not to mention he helped us reschedule due to a cancellation on a flight from Oslo. We are going on another tour today with his team and we cannot wait. I cannot recommend highly enough how worth while the tour was I would not hesitate to do it again with Eapen and his company. There is no need to look to any other company . This was absolutely the highlight of our trip. Thanks Espen!!!

sebastian - i don’t know how he manage it all but he’s the man! he is our tour guide, our driver, our photographer, our chef (he prepared hot choc, hot drinks, hot soup for us!), setup bon fire all single handedly. he is full or energy, even in this freezing weather, out for 5-6hrs. he also share a lot of his experiences, stories which were really enlightening. THIS IS THE BEST TOUR OUT OF the 3 tours i booked for my Tromsø trip. Steam Tours team, especially sebastian were very professional, i like the mini tour group, its much more personal. the booking is easy, the pick up was on time, the journey was pleasant. thermal jacket n boots were provided, and they were in clean and good condition. i strongly suggest this tour! book early as they have limited availability. we managed to get the best of aurora lights thanks to his experience and knowledge around the area. good photographs were taken, which were shared immediately with us!

Sebastian was an incredible guide! We loved that he checked in advance on the weather and decided to take us on a little hike out onto a lake, in a secluded spot for our small group tour. It was an intimate and unforgettable experience! The moment the skies suddenly cleared and the lights showed up everywhere was quite magical! I can't imagine doing this with big groups or in places where other tour groups were also camped. He's also great photographer and he managed to capture really amazing photos of me and my family with the lights in the background! These will be lifelong memories for years to come! The northern lights experience has for each and every one a very different meaning - the fear though is for everybody the same: will I even see the lights? Excellent service, very friendly and accommodating on the tour. They were very efficient in our search for the auroras. The photos they took were incredible. They gave us great information about how the auroras form, and the food was delicious.

I got so lucky earlier this week, I managed to join the tour at the very last minute, and wow, what an experience it turned out to be! From start to finish, it felt like pure magic. We were a small group, which made it feel more like an evening out with friends than a typical tour. Peter, our guide, picked the most stunning and romantic spot: a sandy beach with a little village in the distance. He set up a campfire, served us a delicious hot meal and drinks. Honestly, that alone for me would have been enough to make it an unforgettable night. I knew how unpredictable Northern Lights are and you can never be sure if you can catch a glimpse of them. But nature had a surprise waiting for us. Out of nowhere, the Northern Lights began to dance across the sky, turning the night into something out of a dream. Peter not only captured the Northern lights with his camera in all their glory, he also took some lovely candid shots of us. It truly was an evening I will never forget. Special thanks for providing me with a warm suit I could put over my clothes, without it I would certainly freeze a lot.

When you visit Tromsø and the surrounding area, a Northern Lights tour is an absolute must-do. I was really lucky — the weather was clear, so we got to enjoy an amazing show, and we also had the good fortune of having Peter as our guide. our family of 8 booked a small group tour although the forecast was not very promising. Peter took us out to snap some photos of fjords and mountains. Then he took us to his secret dark spot, set up a camp fire and handed out some very nice soup from his personal recipe. He shared much stories and we chatted thru the night while watching beautiful aurora lights dancing above. Delightful memories for all of us.

I went on the Northern Lights tour with SteamPier twice—and honestly, both times were magical. Hands down one of the best experiences of my life. The tours are super well-organized, and what I loved most is that they keep the groups small, so it feels really personal and not touristy at all. We did the Northern Lights Tour and the Fjord Tour with Sebastian and loved it! He showed us beautiful places and amazing lights. We felt save throughout the tour with lots of snow and slippery streets and also well informed. Aside from that he kept us warm with a campfire and hot soup.

We spent two days in early January with Peter. First day he took us on a daily tour of island of Senja. Second day he took us mountain shoeing on top of a fjord closer to Tromso. He was the best tour guide we have ever had: friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, punctual. Not only he drove us around to the most beautiful scenic spots, but he also took great photos on both days and prepared food for us. On a more personal note, he was simply kind, likeable and had a great energy. Highly recommended.

We went out a first night with Sebastian, weather was pretty bad, it’s been a run to escape the clouds, and we have seen some lights. We were already so grateful. On the way back tons of snow. It was our first time, so we decided to go a second time as weather forecast was slightly better. And with Sebastian again was such an unforgettable night. Only a bit more than 1 hour of clear sky, but what a show!!! Highly recommended, very knowledgable and friendly guide!

It was one of the most magical nights ever! Our guide Sebastian drove us away from the city clouds and found the perfect spot ever, just nature around us and the Dancing Queen among the stars. Everything was perfect! Join them :)

Pettersen was our guide and he was very good, giving us a good explanation of how the NL come about during the drive. When we reached the location, he was also able to provide the necessary technical knowledge on how to take good pictures of the NL. His pictures and video taken on the night which was shared to all on the tour was very very good.

We booked the tour with Peter as the weather forecast was rather cloudy and we did not see the aurora from Tromsø in first days. A day before the trip, we got lucky and saw really beautiful northern lights, just outside of Tromsø. With that, we were wondering if the trip would be worth it, as the main attraction already appeared before? Short answer: Yes, absolutely!!! Peter made the trip really special and easily managed to exceed the high-bar the natural spectacle set the day before: He brought us to a lovely and unique spot, made the whole family feel warm and cozy (reindeer skins, thermal suits, bonfire, warm drinks), told plenty of interesting stories and facts - and made the evening unique and special. The Aurora showed up again, providing an even greater spectacle than the day before - and left everybody in awe! What made it especially worthwhile was the small & intimate setting that Peter provided - it was just our family of 5 and Peter. He catered for all of our wishes - and he was genuinely invested in trying to make it the best experience we could get. This way, it was a truly magic night and I am so glad we did it!!! We went on a few more tours during our time in Tromsø, and this one was definitely one of the best ones we did. Peter and Sebastian were just awesome, really enthusiastic and entertaining, which makes all the difference on a tour like this. We had some good laughs with them, and honestly, it made the experience so much more fun. Of course, we were lucky enough to see some really amazing northern lights, which helped make the night extra special. But these guys really know what they’re doing. You can just tell they’ve got real passion for what they do, and that makes a big difference. It’s not just about the lights, it’s about the experience. And they really made it memorable.

We had a very special Valentine's evening - all conditions were perfect, especially the clear weather breaks and a great guide. Peter took us to different scenic spots to make incredible memories and photos. Our trip was scheduled for the previous night, but Peter advised that the next night would be better and he wasn't wrong! He's a real pro at this and totally passionate. We did the Northern lights tour and the Fjord tour, we fully recommend it. About the Northern lights tour, we did it tree times and each time was 100% worth it, we saw several shapes and moves, was a spectacular show. The logistic and the tour itself is really good, Sebastian was our guide, and he was awesome, super kind, funny and concern that everyone was comfortable and enjoying the tour. He is always searching for the best spot (not crowded) and during the tour, you wait for the lights next to a warm fire pit, you drink something hot and then eat an amazing soup, with this the waiting time in the cold gets pleasant. The Fjord tour, was awesome, Tromsø is more than Northern lights, the places that we visited were incredible, the landscaping was incredible, We made this tour with Sebastian and he explained us everything about each place and the culture.

Our week in Tromso was fab but we were a bit unlucky with the weather as it was wet and cloudy most of the time. I had booked a NL tour for my partner’s 60th birthday as a surprise. However it was cancelled due to the weather and looking iffy to see them at all. However Peter from Steam Tours was more optimistic and stayed in contact, then the next day there was a window of opportunity so we went out with Sebastian keeping everything crossed. Sebastian and our small group of 7 drove around 3 hours to Skibotn which was where he thought our best chance of seeing them was. He kept tracking the various weather and aurora apps and stayed in touch with other guides to give us the best possible chance. We set up camp and only had to wait 30-40 mins and they appeared. We were all really excited, took so many photos and couldn’t believe our luck. Sebastian took lots of photos of us all too and had endless patience! After the aurora disappeared we lit our fire, had hot drinks and a lovely soup that was all included. We drove back to Tromso tired but very happy. I have no hesitation in recommending Steam Tours, they offer a smaller group tour than some of the other operators allowing more accessibility to some areas and they are really friendly, helpful and prepared to go the extra mile to ensure you have the best possible chance of a sighting.

We were taken to a remote area around an hour from Tromso and the views of the aurora were spectacular! Our guide Peter was very knowledgeable and passionate. He made a delicious soup and hot chocolate to warm us up. You need to be patient and ready for the cold but would highly recommend!

Peter was an amazing guide! He went above and beyond to make sure we got to see the northern lights. We had bad weather in Norway so he made sure to drive us around till we had a spot all to ourselves to see the lights! And we got a beautiful view! Our Northern Lights tour was an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. We were taken to a stunning private location where we had an incredible view of mountains, stars, and dancing northern lights. There were only 8 of us on this tour and we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. Our guide, Sebastian, was funny and knowledgable. He gave us the full service, including a fire to keep warm and (really attractive) snowsuits and boots. He takes fantastic profile pictures, is an excellent driver, and even let us control the aux. If you want to have a good time we would definitely recommend this tour :) Also, big shout out to Peter’s homemade soup.

Yesterday evening we spent an excellent experience. Our guide Peter has been fantastic to find a special site to admire the nothenlight for severamente hours with interesting technicolor explanations. He prepared for us a delicous hotel soup and chocolate amd he lights the fire waiting the best moment to make the best photos to the sky. He know very well the photography techniques. Do yourself a favor and book them. I went on a tour with another company on our first day but did not like the group setting, 15 people, so personally too busy and noisy. Then we found SteamTour, and it was such an unforgettable experience. Our Tour was only 4 adults, and we were able to sit still for like 2+ hours, watching Lady Aurora dance. Sebastian was our guide, he is also a professional photographer and he is so chill and kind. The night was not promising, it was cloudy and snowing, but Sebastian kept driving until we found clear skies, with stars, a beautiful lake, and mountain views. We were like 2 hours from Tromsø, still in Norway. Highly recommend them if you want cool photos but also a chance to live in the moment and experience the incredible Northern Lights. It is hard to describe how incredible this experience was. Sebastian and Peter were very attentive and compromised to do everything for us to have an amazing Aurora experience. They coordinated all their moves from the very beginning in a very profesional way. Auroras are a natural phenomena and occur randomly. Nonetheless, they predicted everything with high precision using the right tools and their gut feeling. We were in the right spot at the right moment. They know what they are doing, rely on their process and follow all steps with passion. The food was also very good and helpful for the cold weather. My wife and I are very thankful and will recommend them to anyone seeking for Aurora chasing in Tromsø. We leave more than happy.

Amazing experience! Surprisingly, what makes it truly special isn't just seeing the northern lights themselves, it's the adventure of chasing them. Going on an adventure with a small group of people, all sharing the same dream and excitement while embracing the uncertainty of nature's spectacle, is unforgettable.
