Freddie was a great guide and showed us some beautiful spots along the Fjords and also kept us away from the areas that were crowded with Tour Coaches! Our guide, Fede, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, sharing his love of Tromsø and his passion for the outdoors. It was a beautiful day, especially when the sun came out. We learned about Sami culture, WW2 activities, and went into a bunker used by the invading forces. The beach picnic by the white coral sand was also good. In all, I would highly recommend this activity .

Our trip with Northern Soul Adventures was a special highlight on our Norway trip. Our guide Federic shared his profound knowledge about Norway, the landscape, the animals, the plants and the people. Fede was our guide and there were 6 of us on our tour. Meet up was very easy and very close to the ship. It was such a wonderful opportunity to explore the area. We explored some areas on foot, most by van, and Fede took many pictures. The pictures were available to download after the trip. We had a lovely picnic in the afternoon. The scenery was magnificent and Fede really was a fabulous guide.

This was an awesome excursion, right from the cruise port but without cruise ship prices. Frede was our guide and went out of his way to point out things of interest that popped up along the way, not just giving us a canned commentary. Great combination of flat walking for all, and easy hiking for those who were interested. Highly recommend!

We were lucky with the weather on this tour which helped tremendously. This was a lovely small tour with about 13 people. We were driven in a very clean minivan and Federico (Guide) & Lucca (driver) were excellent. They were both informative and Federico took photos of the day and we were sent a link to them after the tour ended. There were quite a few stops (all very scenic) and also had a small picnic on the beach which was a nice touch. Overall had a great day and cannot recommend Federico and Lucca highly enough.

Amazing and picturesque trip, despite the rain. Lucas and Joaquin were very informative and allowed us plenty of time at each stop off to take in the views and enjoy the fresh air. After the trip we were all also sent photos they took of the day. Really enjoyable day.

We booked an arctic fjord roadtrip (daytime) with Northern Soul Adventures and had the best time with our tour guide Samuel! He was very knowledgeable about the areas surrounding Tromso and brought us to the most scenic and stunning places. He shared his own “favorite spots” with us and was flexible in the tour- for example, making a couple extra stops along the way to help us find eagles that my friend really wanted to see. He was also an amazing photographer and I was so impressed by all the photos he took for us! He also gave us personal recs for things to do around Tromso (like an infinity pool that was 10/10). In addition, he was just a really fun person to hang out with the entire day and we all agreed he was our favorite guide during our trip!

We went as a group of 5 and luckily had the whole tour to ourselves. Samuel, our tour guide and photographer, was very knowledgeable, patient and friendly. The tour was adapted to suit our interests and Samuel took us to several stunning spots and pointed out wildlife along the way. He was passionate about photography and had a great eye, taking some incredible photos and even giving us tips on how to get our own great shots! We made numerous stops but never felt rushed, Samuel was very relaxed and ensured we had plenty of time to take in the spectacular scenery. We had a lovely picnic on the beach with some delicious vegan sandwiches and the option of warming fruity tea or coffee. Some of the group were worried about not having enough toilet breaks but there were several opportunities if needed. Overall a well organised tour and fantastic experience to explore the beautiful Kvaløya and Sommarøy islands. It was the perfect start to our trip and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide!

This road trip through the Arctic fjords was one of the best experiences of my life. Everything was simply perfect! The tour was absolutely fantastic! We were lucky to have beautiful weather, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Thomas was incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable—he really took us to the very best spots. A special mention to Ana as well—her homemade cookies were absolutely delicious! One should not skip the fjords tour when visiting Tromsø. I would like to thank the tour guide and the driver for educating us about the fjords and showing us the beautiful scenery. The tour guide is also a talented photographer who took great pictures for us. I booked this tour last minute and initially thought it might be boring since it was winter and there wouldn’t be much to see—but I was wrong and so glad I went for it. I truly had a wonderful time and met many friendly people in the group.

Today's road trip with driver and guide Lucas and Tomas was excellent. We saw beautiful scenery that has to be seen to be believed. The weather was cloudy on and off throughout the day but Tomas and Lucas made sure we took photo stops when the weather was the best. It was a very scenic day! Every effort was made to make the day an incredible, interesting and very informative one. Highlights were views of Haja Island from the beach at Sammaroy. We also saw an eagle flying close by! Thank you, Tomas and Lucas! I highly recommend Northern Soul Adventures!

Thank you Ana and Tomas for the amazing tour to the Fjords. Sommaroy beach was amazing we were lucky with the weather! Also it was so good that the tour was so flexible dependent on the weather so we still managed to hit all the spots. The sunlight kissed peaks at Ersfjord towards the end of the day was so beautiful. He made us want to come back and discover the country in every season. Full of knowledge, fun facts and enthusiasm, Armand made this road trip truly memorable. We absolutely enjoyed our Artic Road Tour to Sammaroy with picnic on the beach. Anna drove us safely over the snowy roads and Tomas did an excellent job of telling us all about the Fjords and beautiful scenery. We learned a lot about the landscape and beautiful surroundings. It was three of us friends. On our getaways. Guide tour Armend was really nice and great. Everything went smooth and we had a great time. Sun, rain and beautiful rainbows. Many of them. I do recommend the trip. Especially when you dont want to drive anywhere. We love our snack on the beach. The reindeer showing off how to cross the street was fun. Dont forget your winter jackets!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Artic road trip with Filip and Mathias. Norway's fall colors were spectacular and Filip did a fantastic job of capturing the beautiful scenery. All the places we visited were so beautiful and serene. Filip and Mathias were wonderful guides filled with knowledge and history during our trip. They were both so kind and thoughtful. We made frequent stops along the way and enjoyed a delicious lunch at the beach. We highly recommend Northern Soul Adventures. You will walk away with lasting memories!

Really an amazing experience! Our guide, Bogdan, knew the route perfectly. He is very experienced, open, and friendly, and he led us through majestic views. Truly worth recommending!

Looking for a scenic tour from Tromso. This itinerary is pretty standard by all tour operators and there are many operators to choose from for a city this size. Picked Northern Soul Adventures because it offered a good price for private tour with pickup and dropoff at cruise port plus we could decide on the starting time. The included picnic lunch and the photos by the guide were added bonuses. Kat was wonderful to work with in the booking process. She answered our many questions promtly. Armand was a good driver. The van was comfortable. Armand took us to different places with great photo op. Some of the places required walking on even rocks but with no crowds. If we had gone with the cruise excursion to Sommaroy Village we wouldn't have seen these hidden gems along the way. We also saw a reindeer herd on the way out and back. This tour took us to the least touristy spots out of all the Norway stops on our 14 day cruise. It gave us a sense of what rural northern Norway looks like. It is raw, pristine and beautiful. A memorable experience indeed. Highly recommend this tour.

I had a truly lovely time on this tour. Tromsø has always been a place close to my heart, and coming back was very special — especially thanks to Armand, who showed us a side of Norway I hadn’t seen before. We spotted deer, visited beautiful lakes, and took in absolutely breathtaking views. The explanations throughout the tour were insightful and engaging, the pace was perfect — never rushed, never slow — and the vehicle was very comfortable, which made the journey even more enjoyable. The views were amazing and the tour guide, Michael, was very friendly and interactive. I learnt a lot about the area, took beautiful photos and the food and drink he provided was not only very extensive, but also very tasty and the experience was relaxing. The rest of the group was nice as well. An unforgettable experience and I would 100% recommend!

This was the best excursion of our 16-day trip. The itinerary is amazing with multiple scenic stops. Lunch was very yummy and was served on a beautiful beach. Our guide and driver, Bogdan and Matthias, were the BEST. Very friendly and knowledgeable and they spoke English perfectly. We give this tour our highest recommendation!

We went on the tour with Michael on a VERY VERY cloudy and snowy day, and it was still our most fun outing in Tromso. He was so informative and talking to us all along the way. We talked about everything from fjords to wildlife to politics. He was knowledgable and also took a lot of photos of those who wanted to. He infact took the longer route to ensure we get to Sommaroy too. When we told Michael about how unlucky we had been with the aurora on our chasing tour with another company, and that we weren't able to afford another paid tour because of how expensive they are, he educated us and gave us tips to try to chase the lights on our own within our means. We really appreciated and respected that. Great guide and highly recommend the tour!!

One of our tours, with another company, was cancelled. I went looking for a small group tour which would provide an opportunity to see more of the area around Tromso. As we had booked with Northern Soul Adventures to see the Northern Lights I found they also offered an Artic Roadtrip:’fjords with scenic picnic. Our friendly guide Armand showed us the most beautiful area of Sommarøy. The rain stayed away so we were able to explore each stop and take some amazing photos. Being a small group tour Armand was able to taylor the day to suit the group and weather. I would not hesitate to recommend Northern Soul Adventures. Vehicle was comfortable and clean, with a maximum capacity of 8.

The guide was knowledgeable and took us to lovely scenic places. The lunch provided was good vegan option. Really pleased with the trip. The only downside is not seeing wild reindeer along the way.

Everything in the tour was perfect. The car was comfortable and our guide Armand was amazing. He was very accommodative and took beautiful pictures. The cherry on the cake was the tasty sandwiches we were served by the beach in Sommarøy with coffee. The drive and the scenery in the tour is amazing. A must do in Tromso.

This was the most enjoyable tour/experience of my few days in Tromsø. We were lucky to get a sunny and clear day, which was perfect to see the beautiful landscape. The van was small, my friend & I were cramped in the front bench seat with the driver, so getting on/off and taking the seatbelt on/off was effortful but the scenery made up for it. The driver/guide provided so much information throughout the entire tour and made it such a memorable experience. He also took good photos!
