Northern lights experience with Eco friendly Tesla Model X- only in the north of Norway, Tromsø North Norway, Tromso is fortunate with unique natural phenomena, which can only be experienced in our region. People from all over the world come to Tromso to experience the magic Northernllights, Aurora Borealis in the fall and winter season. Its a Must do experienced. The Northern lights are magical, but the Norwegian nature in Tromso is similar. On this evening we will hunt for the northernlights, but also give you a taste of how to experience the wilderness in the dark. With maximum 5 guests, we will give you the best and personal experience. While driving to our destination, we tell you about the city, what we see arround us and stories from this area. With only few guests we are super flexible regarding where we go and how long we stay there. As nornal we take pictures and share with you later. Our Tesla is very comfortable and quiet. We can also customize this tour for you as a private and then you will have an even better and more flexible experience.
Had a great trip with Luka, it was a cloudy night and the northern lights weren't very strong, but he managed to find some good areas where there were gaps in the cloud, so we managed to see it quite well. Hot chocolate was a nice touch.
We had booked the Northern Lights Tour in a Tesla for 27th December. At least this was the idea. But in fact I hade made the booking for the 26th. And I didn't realise it until we got a call that they were waiting for us. The owner was so nice and changed our booking without any extra charge to the next day. I think this is extremely customer oriented. Not everyone would have done it. The tour was marvellous. Per was able to show us Northern Lights during a cloudy day. He found the cloudless spot. And he gave us nice stories about Northern Lights and the live in Tromsø. I can really and highly recommend this company. It is easy to perform good but with problematic circumstances like ours to be so flexible and kind, this is special.
Kurt was excellent. A native to this region, a nature loving kid still in him, he found the best spot on a cloudy, rainy, snowy night. He knew where the skies would open up. Thanks for a great experience Kurt
We received an email at 6:17p to cancel the tour which was supposed to take place at 7p. I didn’t receive the email until after we had waited outside in the freezing temps for 15 minutes. It should have been canceled way sooner.
Owner/operator cancelled via phone call after we showed up at the pick-up location at the start time. It was only after calling them that they (first) accused us of showing up to to the wrong location (we did not), then apologized for miscommunication and said they didn't have any guides and cancelled the tour. We were left waiting in the cold for an hour whilst trying to sort this mess... In fairness, this mishap could have been due to our same-day booking, but Viator and/or the operator should not enable such bookings (and send a confirmation email saying the booking worked) if they cannot accommodate these requests!

The guide cancelled our trip only an hour before we were due to leave. I have not been refunded yet.
Not recommend for people not spending many days in Tromso for northern light. The Tesla never showed up but a van came instead, the guy told us they're over booked and one of the four couples book for this tour will be put on a sailboat tour or get a refund. The sailboat can just go less then 10km within the 3 hour tour which provide much less chance to see northern light than car/bus tour.
It was a wonderful evening, and we saw the nothern lights as well. Very nice and friendly skipper....we would do it again, if we come back to Tromsø. Thank you so much!
We had an amazing experience. Our Host and Guide Sandra was courteous and caring and ensured our comfort right from Pickup to Drop. We were fortunate to meet Karl at the two Northern Lights Sighting locations.
We went on both the Arctic Cruise and the Car Tour with ACINORWAY. Both were wonderful experiences. The boat captain and the car driver were both extremely nice and knowledgable of the area. There is no control over the weather - it was snowy both days with some openings in the clouds that allowed spectacular views of the Northern Lights. The fish soup was super delicious on the boat. The car tour allowed for a long drive to a clear area, almost to the Finish border. The views were incredible and the driver went way beyond what was expected to get us a great experience and pictures, driving through a snowstorm to find the perfect location. I highly recommend this company for a personalized tour and experience.
Driver is OK. Weather sometimes good, sometimes bad. Start at 7.40pm, finished at nearly 1 am. Driving 4 hours, 2hours away and 2 hours back. I don’t like it, cuz not much interaction. We only get out of car about 10-15mins to wait Northern Lights. We spend the rest of time in car. The car was very comfortable and clean, the driver who was also the owner was very knowledgeable. He tried he best to find an area where we could have a break in the clouds but the weather that night was bad. He drove almost 3 hours to Norway Finland border checking with other operators about conditions but in the end we could not see the lights. This is a very weather dependent activity so no worries. At one spot we had a faint glimpse of the lights viewed through long exposure shot on camera but nothing spectacular.
Kurt was our guide for the aurora tour. Compared to other tours, it is bit on the expensive side comparing the duration of the tour (approx 3hrs). We booked this tour as a last minute decision between our party as it showed the highest percentage of seeing the aurora that day and we do not regret. Kurt was very friendly and gave us a brief summary of the tour plan. We drove about 45mins-1hr and arrived at the first location and did not see the northern lights. Kurt suggested another location and drove about another 30mins and that’s where we saw the lights. Kurt took pictures for us and we received the pictures within 24hrs of the tour. Overall, we were lucky to actually see the lights on the first aurora tour and can’t ask for more. Kurt actually stayed with us for over an hour driving to another spot for better views. We received a brief tour of the city on the way back as it was our first day in Tromso and had many questions. Kurt gave many recommendations of places to go and local restaurants. If you are looking for a small group tour, this is it :)

We arrived as part of a cruise, and had previously reserved our excursion directly with Kurt. This was very easy and he was so accommodating. When we arrived the weather was not on our side and we were faced with heavy cloud and blizzards. Kurt was totally honest giving us the option to take or cancel the trip. It was snowing very heavy at the time but we decided to go ahead and if nothing else see the area. Kurt took us all over the the peninsula hoping to see the lights but to no avail. Mother Nature was not playing ball!! Overall it was a good and interesting trip a little disappointing as we never saw the lights but that’s no ones fault. Kurt was first class and I would strongly recommend him a guide and someone to take a trip with.
Kurt welcomed us and knew his stuff! He was very nice, flexible, well-informed about Tromso and on how to catch Northern Lights. He drove us around town and we were able to take photographs of the lights. He was also kind enough to help us set our cameras and take pictures of us in a profesionnal manner with his own camera. The photographs were sent to us the same night. Strongly recommended for a wonderful experience.

We've had two days of tours looking for the northern lights. Both were amazing and we were able to see the northern lights in both days. We had 2 guides, Kurt and Gerome, they are so experienced and they very kind. They have apps in order to have a better chance to chase the Aurora's and they take you whenever the northern lights will take place. The car is so cool and private for small groups. Another feature included was the professional pics that Kurt took us and shared with us just minutes later coming back.took us and shared with us just minutes later we came back to the hotel. Totally recommend the tour!
Kurt was a great host, very friendly and informative. We tried a few spots and communication with others meant we managed to see the lights. Photos were delivered the same night. Thanks for the experience.
Fantastic tour! We knew when looking for a tour we wanted a more private experience rather than a bus of 40 other people. Taking the trip in a Tesla (my boyfriends dream car) sealed the deal. Kurt was excellent and more than happy to share both his knowledge of the Northern Lights and Tesla. He was also easy to contact prior to our tour. We ended moving forward a day as snow was in the forecast for the next and there seemed to be less of a chance. He was happy to change plans and agreed we should switch days for the best opportunity as we were only in Tromso for two days. The lights weren’t as strong as we’d hoped but Kurt kept searching and was still able to take some fantastic photos (they were received within the hour of dropping us off)- included in the price of the tour. We learned afterwards other tours charge upwards of $40 usd per picture. I would definitely recommend splurging just a little to take a smaller tour and be able to choose your own adventure just a little more than the other large tours you see advertised all over town.
The point of the trip was to see Northern Lights and Kurt delivered on this (although not the best night for viewing). However, I found it troubling the way he drove with his head out the window, looking up at the sky. It made for an unsafe ride and a cold back seat passenger. Also, we did not receive any coffee, drink, food or stop with a camp fire. The Tesla was nice, that's about it. Not worth the money.

Leider wurde unsere Tour 15min vor Beginn aufgrund „internen Problemen“ abgesagt. Dies fanden wir sehr schade, da der Himmel klar war und die Nordlichter in dieser Nacht an verschiedenen Orten gesichtet wurden. Wir hatten uns wirklich sehr auf die Tour gefreut. Es wurde uns auch kein Verschiebungsdatum angeboten.

Johnny is friendly but a bit pedantic. Initially, he does not even show up and give no explanation of what we are doing. No explanation about the car or the lights. He did not know the car well and had small technical problems (frequent beep and problem closing/opening) It's more like a taxi from point A to point B to see the lights than a guide. But the experiment was never before possible.
