Sam met us on time and at the exact location. He gave a clear outline of what was going to happen and that this was a hunt for the Northern lights. Sam never stopped working, looking and making sure we were all updated as to what was happening. We ended up under a beautiful sky with shooting stars the Milky Way with a rising moon and then exactly when Sam predicted the Northern lights appeared. Absolutely amazing. He took some amazing photos and nothing was to much trouble. Sam explained exactly about what makes the lights happen and the history of the lights and previous solar storms . I can't speak highly enough of this company or Sam . 10/10.

Wow! About midnight I was ready to accept that we wouldn't see lights, but our guide Samuel did not give up. His patience, persistence and ability to find spots based on gaps in the clouds and predicted activity meant that suddenly, out of nowhere, we got to see the sky explode with lights! Truly magical! Spending time outside in the woods at night with a campfire was an amazing experience too.

We took the tour with you on a Saturday on our last night in Norway (October 3rd) and even if it was a very cloudy night you did your best you could in the time allowed and in spite of being a weak night you managed amazing pictures. We took the aurora tour in early March with Tomás and Lucas, and it was the perfect choice! We had booked 3 tours with Northern Soul, and the first one was canceled due to bad weather. We went the next day and were very lucky. As soon as we arrived at the chosen location, we saw small lights in the sky, but after checking whether we would go to another spot or not, since there was no cell phone signal due to the hurricane that had occurred nearby, they decided to stay in the same place, which was the right choice, because some time later the lights exploded in the sky, putting on a spectacular show! Tomás took all the photos we asked for, of the whole group, in addition to telling stories and providing various information we didn't have, as did Lucas, who helped us get to the best spot. They made a bonfire to warm us up because it was very windy, and there was delicious soup, coffee, tea, and biscuits! The tour was incredible, and the guides' persistence was fundamental to the success of the night! Thank you so much!! I highly recommend the tour with them!

What an unforgettable Northern Lights chase! Our tour with Northern Soul Adventures from Tromsø was absolutely amazing. Filip, our guide and an talented photographer, and Mathias, our outstanding driver, made the whole experience special. They worked so well together and created a warm, friendly atmosphere the entire night. Filip helped me set up my camera to capture the Northern Lights properly. We ended the evening enjoying a delicious soup by a warm bonfire, surrounded by breathtaking views. It was peaceful, cozy, and truly magical. Filip took photos of us and the lights. He knew the perfect spot to see them. If you’re coming to Tromsø and want a genuine, memorable Northern Lights experience, I couldn’t recommend this tour enough.

Awesome trip… I was hesitant because it was pouring down rain and cloudy, not sure I wanted to go. So happy we went anyways. Because this turned out to be a great time. The mini bus was very new and comfortable.We had to drive about two and a half hours, almost to Finland to see northern Lights tonight. We were very impressed with Tomas and his expertise in searching satellites for the colorful skies on a rainy, cloudy night. He found the northern lights and where to stop for the event. He helped with cameras and took pictures of each couple/group. When there was a little lull from the lights we had a nice fire, soup, cookies and cocoa.. The sky lit up several times with colors and designs. Everyone was super friendly so the trip was comfortable. A long night but definitely worth it. I did my research and there are many choices. Happy I made the right choice and went with Northern Soul Adventures.

Guides were absolutely fantastics but the weather was bad and we didnt find any northern Lights.. I dont know why it has not been postponed if we knew that would be that tough to find some..

While the tour was cancelled, the team amazingly sorted me out another trip so that I had a chance to see the lights. Great service and very friendly team

During our outing, unfortunately we were unable to see the Northern Lights due to cloud cover. Regarding the organization of the tour, I have nothing negative to say — the guide was skilled and even drove all the way to Finland in an attempt to find clear skies and see the aurora. My negative review concerns the tour operator’s insistence on confirming the tour for March 1st, even though the forecast was already predicting very bad weather, and their refusal to allow me to move the tour to Saturday, when the sky was clear. Some tour operators offer a partial refund or alternative tours as a goodwill gesture to acknowledge the disappointment, even though it is obviously beyond their control. In this case, despite my explicitly requesting it, they limited themselves to an apology, even though their price is among the highest on the market. My suggestion is that there is no point in paying more — they are all competent, so you should choose the operator that offers the best guarantees.

We had an excellent trip on February 28 with Thomas as our guide. The weather forecast was not brilliant but we still managed to see a good level of northern lights as well as some dancing lights!

Lucas and Tomas did a great job! We experienced a wonderful Aurora show in a stunning landscape on a frozen and snow covered lake in the mountains. It was a bit tricky first because the weather conditions were not so good on this evening. But our guides found the right spot. In the period till the Northern lights appeared our guides kept us warm with a campfire and hot drinks and soup and had many interesting information for us about the Aurora and the region. Lucas was a skilled driver and we had a safe journey back to the hotel where we were dropped off. We were rewarded with stunning pictures from Tomas. This was an amazing evening and we would totally recommend the tour!

Fantastic experience. Our guides Filip and Mathias were enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and knew the best places to stop. Filip was a skilled photographer and we got some great shots. Both guides were genuinely excited by the Northern Lights and their enthusiasm was infectious. We were well looked after with hot chocolate and cookies. Would definitely recommend.

The tour was excellent. The company does a lot to analyse weather to then best choose a destination to see the lights. Bogdan was a fantastic guide with a very friendly demeanor and positive attitude. He seems passionate about the science behind the northern lights and loves to share this knowledge with others. He was also very helpful in showing how to set up my camera, while also taking photos of everyone with his.

We were incredibly lucky to go on this tour on a night of strong northern lights. Bogdan, our wonderful guide, took us about 90 minutes south of tromso to have complete darkness and a beautiful mountain backdrop. He told us plenty of interesting facts and did amazing photos for us. The soup was very nice too. A great experience.

Best tour ever! Tomas and Ana are beyond description. Chasing the lights is a bucket list item and they exceeded expectations. Tomas is passionate about the aurora as well as photography. Both Ana and Tomas provided exceptional customer service. The guiding as well as the driving were superb. Not enough superlatives to describe the experience. Absolutely incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience. My husband and I had the most wonderful tour with our guide Bogdan and our driver, Mathias (the safest and most careful driver I’ve ever seen!!). Bogdan is extremely knowledgeable, passionate and very friendly! He immediately remembered all the names of the people who came and expressed interest in learning more about us. It was evident that he truly cares and enjoys his job. Everything went according to schedule and plan - the tour was super organized and orderly. Bogad helped us set the cameras and tripods to ensure that we had the best chance. We truly had a blast! The group was small enough to make the trip feel intimate. The soup, hot drinks, fire, and cookies were a wonderful bonus. And, by the very next day, Bogdan already sent us the pictures he took of the lights (with his professional camera). We HIGHLY recommend using this company.

Samuel and Mathias where amazing tour guides. They had impressive knowledge on the northern lights and truly feel that they went above and beyond to make the experience the best it could be. Samuel took amazing photos of us in front of the northern lights. During the more quiet bits of the tour they gave us some recommendations of what else to do on the island. The small group element of the tour made the experience feel much more intimate. This experience was my favourite of my entire trip here 10/10 1000% recommend this tour.

We had an absolutely unforgettable Northern Lights tour, and it exceeded all our expectations. We live in Australia and went to Tromso to see the northern lights specifically. Although it was a cloudy day initially, our guide Thomas and our wonderful driver Ana went above and beyond to find the perfect spot. Their patience and dedication truly paid off. They took us to a beautiful location where we were able to watch the Northern Lights for a long time. They provided hot drinks, cookies, and a delicious soup, which was very comforting in the cold. Thomas was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything about the Northern Lights in a way that was easy to understand and fascinating. You can clearly tell he is a very experienced guide and also incredibly friendly and approachable. Thomas is also an excellent photographer. He helped me adjust my camera settings so I could capture the lights properly, which made a huge difference to my photos. Just when we thought the night couldn’t get any better, right before we were about to leave, there was an incredible blast of Northern Lights. They started dancing across the sky for about 15 minutes, it was truly magical and surreal. A moment we will never forget. To top it all off, we were dropped back safely at our hotel, making the entire experience seamless and stress-free. Highly recommend this tour to anyone dreaming of seeing the Northern Lights especially with guides like Thomas and Ana. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us.

They found the best stops for the tour and were keen that everyone involved got to see an amazing aurora and that people could get as many pictures of it as possible. A fantastic experience! We were lucky our trip coincided with both clear skies and a solar storm, so saw incredible auroras and a sky filled with stars. Lucas and Bogan were great - super knowledgable, friendly, and able to give helpful photography tips (as well as sharing their own wonderful pics!). The camp fire, food, and hot chocolate really added to the night - one we won't forget!

This was a fun and friendly experience from the start. We drove out of Tromso to seek the Aurora and we stopped twice before our final stop in the middle of nowhere. The hospitality was very good with chocolate and cookies followed by a flask of hot soup a bit later sitting behind the van around a campfire under the stars with the lights making appearances every now and again. Michael was very helpful with all our attempts to take photos as well taking some for us on his camera which were forwarded as promised. We were near the end of the evening and the final show was trumpeted by Michael as we prepared to go, and we all witnessed the best showing with the lights dancing above us. Joaquin & Lucas were OUTSTANDING tour guides. Their passion for chasing Aurora was obvious and it made us even more excited for the adventure. We saw the most beautiful northern lights I’ve ever seen, explosions in the sky of green and red for several minutes long, dancing above us, on multiple occasions. This company will go the distance to make sure that you see the northern lights. Also, they will make sure that you get beautiful pictures in front of the lights. Ignore the KP or whatever websites tell you about northern lights visibility. It doesn’t matter, these guys can and will find you an amazing show. It is so beyond worth the money. Other tourists I know tried going by themselves and didn’t even come close to seeing what we saw. Make sure to bundle up!!!!

We had a fantasic tour! In our group of 11, we travelled to a small beach alongside a fjord where we spent around 4 hours. During this time we saw the ebb and flow of the northern lights and several minutes of very intense activity that was amazing!!! Of course there are no guarantees, but we were very fortunate. Tomaso, our very knowledgeable guide, and Ana, our driver and stupendous co-host, were terrific, going out of their way to ensure that everyone had a great experience, from foot warmers to warm drinks and food, to sitting in the van for a bit to warm up... we are grateful for their kind attention to everything! We did make a bathroom stop about 15 minutes into our trip, but after that it was all nature.

We had a wonderful experience. Filip and Lucas were great guides, and worked hard during the entire trip to make our group experience exceptional. It was a clear night, and we got tons of great photos. Plus, Filip took photos with the northern lights in the background that turned out great! A huge thank you to Filip and Lucas for giving us such an unforgettable experience on Christmas Day. They truly went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible location to enjoy the experience. For instance, when we initially arrived at a spot where a few large buses were already parked and waiting, they immediately and decisively got out of the van to assess the weather conditions. Realizing that the large crowd might affect our enjoyment, they thoughtfully decided to drive us to a different location in Finland, where we could have a better and quieter viewing spot. At the final location, once we got out of the van, Lucas mentioned that there were already some activities happening in the area. Soon after we settled down, we were lucky enough to witness an *explosive display of the Northern Lights*! It was truly magical. Their service was outstanding. They prepared foot warmers and hand warmers for us, as well as thermal clothing, which turned out to be the warmest we had tried during our entire trip—far better than the other thermal clothing we had used! It kept us incredibly warm throughout the night. What was even more thoughtful was how they distributed these resources at just the right time, so we didn’t have to carry them around unnecessarily. Filip also created a path for us through the thick snow and set up a fire in a circle where we could all sit around and stay warm. They prepared delicious tomato and meat soup—each person had their own individual pot in a thermos flask, so we could enjoy the hot soup slowly. On top of that, they also served coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, adding even more comfort to the experience. Lucas searched for the best spots based on how the aurora was developing and took incredibly professional photos. He is a passionate photographer with his own portfolio, and his expertise truly showed in the photos he captured. We absolutely loved the pictures he took! As the activity began to weaken later in the night, they shared tips with us on how to predict auroras, which was both fascinating and informative. They also explained how different Northern European cultures viewed the aurora in the past, adding a meaningful cultural touch to the experience. We truly appreciate everything they did for us. What stood out most was their genuine care and passion for what they do. You can truly feel that they run their business with heart.

+: thermosuits, good professional driver, great spot chosen with good fire going -: tour is too long in my opinion. There was northern lights going while we were driving, other tours stopped on the side of the road we didn’t as it was a clear night with a bit of activity with good chances of seeing something. We ended up seeing nothing and came back at around 1am (start 5.30pm). Guide decided around 11pm to drive around and try to find another stop, we ended up taking picture in front of the fjord and go back to Tromso. Nature is nature, we can’t control it but other groups saw them that night. Also for my personal taste guide talk too much. I love hearing facts and science but it felt like a slow pace monologue to occupy time while waiting. He also didn’t really ask questions to everyone in order to create group cohesion which to me is important if you are going to seat in the arctic cold for 5 hours. Time passed faster when he wasn’t with us. Driver was great though, very professional, trying to keep things on track and digging up most of the path to go to the shelter. Van was a bit cold for me, blankets might be a good idea.

What an unforgettable experience! Leaving the city lights behind. Our guide was incredible, grounded, kind, and deeply connected to nature. He read the sky, shared stories and even his gloves when my hands were frozen, and gave great photo tips how to capture these wonderful moments. We were camping by a bonfire next to a frozen lake. We saw Northern Light! Lucas and Philip are top notch guides. They were relentless in pursuit. Philip was tirelessly finding the best spots and setting up camera for the groups to catch the best shots. Even at 1 am on the way back, he made a stop on the side of the road because the Northern Lights was too much to passed up. He setup the camera in -20c windy night to make sure we took some good shots. It’s a long and exhausting tour, but most worth it. Bucket list checked. Thanks again to Philip and Lucas, what a night!

The driver and guide were kind and helpful. They made sure we saw the northern lights. They did everything to make us comfortable in the cold conditions. Lucas drove very well in difficult conditions. We felt safe.

Despite a cloudy night, our guide Joaquin and driver Matthias tried their best to get us some early aurora at the beginning of the trip, stopping next to highway when they detected the activity so that the group can witness some aurora and Joaquin quickly helped us to take some pictures. When we waited by the camp fire, Joaquin shared a lot of his knowledge about the Tromso, polar night, aurora experience, etc. They prepared very nice soup stored in convenient containers. They also provided us the warmer for feet and crampons to wear. The van is clean and comfort. The only thing is - the driving speed could be a bit slower to be safer though understand they tried to rush to chase aurora. They sent us the pictures taken the next day, good service and the pictures came out better than expected. Didn't realise the is one of the smallest companies in Tromso, their services are excellent. Would recommend others to join this group.

Very good guide and driver. Great tour informative and interesting. It was a shame that it was so cloudy, but none of us can control the weather! Soup and hot chocolate was very welcome, as were the handwarmers. More information regarding camera settings would have been helpful (especially for those who are technological illiterate) It was wonderful to be out in the middle of nowhere and experience the peace, beauty of a really dark night. Seeing shooting stars was the icing on the cake. Thank you

We were collected by our guide Thomass & driver Matias. They explained what we may expect. We travelled to several short stops chasing the aurora then success. We got advice for photography, had our special photo taken, enjoyed soup, cookies & hot drinks around the campfire where we learned the science & stories about the aurora. They went out of their way to make each guest feel welcome & warm.

Did their best to show us the aurora, though the weather only allowed limited success. Soup & hot drinks was very appreciated.
