Apart from the price, which is normal for Norway anyway, we cannot find any fault. The guides were excellent - entertaining, informative, and attentive. The dogs were ace. All had a lovely nature and worked hard. The puppies melted our hearts. It would have been fun if we could have had a race, but that may be because the sledding was as fun and easy as advertised. We are sure racing requires much more skill and experience to do it safely. I short highly recommended if you can afford it.

From Tromsø: Dog Sledding Experience with Transfer by Norwegian Travel (Morning 4.5 hours tour) Staff at bus station were really helpful getting us booked onto our tour and on the correct buses. The scenery on the rout to the dog sledding centre was stunning. The location was not too far from Tromso, so we weren’t on the bus for hours. Upon arrival, greeted by welcoming staff who made sure we were fully kitted up with all of the warm gear we would need. Space to leave our bags and get kitted up in the warm building, before venturing out to meet our furry friends. The dogs were well cared for and excited to get moving. The sledding guides were informative and passionate about their jobs. We were fully briefed on how to ride/steer our sleds. The scenery we rode through was beautiful and we were blessed with good weather, clear skies. It was really good fun, we swapped roles with our partners halfway round the track, and had a photo opportunity in the middle. This is only a short trip, but enough to give you a taster. After the ride, we got to make a fuss of our dogs and say thank you for the ride. We also got to see the puppies in the kennels. We were then welcomed back into the arm building for hot chocolate and cinnamon biscuits, and were able to get out of our snow suits in the warm. Though this trip was expensive for 4.5 few hours, but competitively priced, and completely worth it, and a lovely experience.
I had a confirmed booking and arrived at the pickup point on time, but the bus left without me. Despite this, the company refused to offer any alternative solution or refund and instead suggested taking an expensive taxi at my own cost. The service was not provided as booked, and the customer support was unhelpful and dismissive. Very disappointing experience, especially for tourists relying on clear communication and fair treatment.
This was terrifying and fun all in one! Learning to drive the sled was a bit intimidating and it was hard work, so make sure you have a bit of physical endurance. I would highly recommend using their boots, snow suits and gloves so that you stay warm when you’re riding. Definitely a highlight of our entire trip to Norway. We booked this excursion through Viator.
Awesome trip and will definitely recommend to friends My first experience and never forget this wonderful feelings
The staff was very friendly and had a very good knowledge of the dogs’ personalities rather than just their names. Several of the participants made frequent mistakes (not breaking correctly, etc) despite well articulated instructions, which unfortunately caused a lot of stops along the way. However, it was still a great experience overall!
I have been dogsledding many times and this farm did not impress me. Many shy antisocial dogs. Feels like dogs that dont enjoy people are kept in the kennel despite this being detrimental for the dogs and the guest experience. They should be given away to families to enjoy a quieter life, like most other kennels do. Some clearly limping dogs, some dogs with a nasty goose cough. Many skinny dogs. Fur not beautiful and shiny. We went with a cruise group and definitely didnt receive what the website describes: no clothes (they dont have enough for big groups). No guiding, just a short explanation on how to sit on the sled. The group was split in two and there was either sledding or just petting the dogs and self service hot drinks and cakes. No self driving. The ride was beautiful and the mushers were nice. But several people in our group left with a feeling of this all being suboptimal.
Loved this experience!! The dogs were amazing … and so were the people! The excitement these animals show for the job they do is amazing!!!
No snow but still got to go. Instead of sleds we used buggies with tires. It was great. Everyone is friendly and the dogs love the attention.
My boyfriend and I had a lovely morning with the Norwegian travel team today! From start to finish, everything was easy and the team made a real effort to compensate (as there was no snow). We did wagon wheeling instead which was so much fun, then we headed back, met all 115 dogs and the pups, and then enjoyed some delicious homemade soup and cake in front of the fire in the tipi. If we came back to Norway, we would 100% do this excursion again!
We had an unforgettable experience with the dogs! The entire adventure, from the thrilling ride to getting to know each dog and giving them some well-deserved pets afterward, was just incredible. The dogs were so friendly and full of energy, and it was clear how much they love what they do. The team was equally amazing—so welcoming and knowledgeable. They truly made the experience special. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and heartwarming adventure with great people and wonderful dogs 👌
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing dog sledding with Aurora Alps, and it was absolutely incredible! The team was professional, the dogs were amazing, and the scenery was breathtaking. Driving the sled myself was a thrilling highlight. Highly recommend for anyone seeking an unforgettable adventure in the snow!
We really enjoyed the well organised trip. The busdrive itself takes a while but is more than worth it as you can see alot from the countryside. Very good instructions on how to behave on the dogsled, very warm clothes. The sledding in small groups of 4 sleds was in a breathtaking landscape. Aferwards we could cuddle the healthy and very happy dogs and had some nice cake and hot drinks in the tent with a bonfire. The dogs in this camp are in a very good condition (they do get training in summer aswell) and all of the lovely stuff do behave very responsible.
A great few hours. Lucky with the weather. The dogs & instructors were superb. Highly recommend this trip
I loved that all the dogs were so happy and behaved very well! The scenery was outstanding and driving the dog sled was very easy! The guide was a good teacher!
What an experience! The dogs were incredibly sweet and trusting, strong and alive. The guides were very experienced and super nice! An incredible experience to ride a dog sled yourself and then pet the animals and see the puppies. Thanks for this great day!
Great experience with a breathtaking view!
The children loved it, it is an experience not to be missed, just tut wonderful. The setting, the animators, everything was great!
Extra experience, dogs top and easy to lead for the first time. The explanations were clear. Great experience. Thank you!!!
On recommande !!!
Lovely course in magnificent landscapes, excellent welcome, extraordinary experience with dogs! We were delighted with this activity, not very far from Tromsø
Lovely visit to the Sami, where we walked around between the slides and flapped and itched dog ears They were just as social, not at all like the Greenland dicto. We saw fantastic northern lights, you can't count on seeing it, but a lovely spot to study them. Sweatshirt with reindeer skin and hot drinks. Afterwards there was great food in a mega cozy cousine
Expérience inoubliable du début à la fin ! Un cadre magnifique, des chiens adorables et un personnel très sympathique, tous les éléments sont réunis pour passer un moment magique 🤩
