So pleased we did this trip. Anna was a great guide and adapted the route to suit the weather for us. The amount of local knowledge, the excitement of spotting reindeer all added to the perfection of the trip.

Samuel is one of the best tour guide I have every had. Great activities and opportinoties watching wildlife
Great viewpoints, friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. Only thing which let it down was the mention of a "delicious lunch of Norwegian cuisine" on the main tour advert and we only had a small cinnamon roll and hot drink. A little misleading and tour participants may need to be more prepared.
We had a wonderful day out touring the Fjords with Anna from The Green Adventure. She gave us an extensive history of Tromsø and the arctic which was a wonderful surprise addition to the tour. It was very wet and windy weather but that did not dampen the spirits. We walked into beautiful valleys, saw reindeer, walked on a sandy beach, and even tested out a frozen lake (it was not cold enough for us to walk on it this time). Highly recommend the tour for all who love nature and glacial valleys.
We had an excellent experience on this tour. Our guide Samuel clearly has a passion for the history and landscape of the area and has exceptional people skills. I have some mobility issues and occasionally had some difficulty navigating the icy areas of the terrain. Samuel went out of his way to assist me and ensure that I was having a good experience. The scenery was beautiful and we were even lucky enough to see a reindeer on the side of the road as we returned to town. Highly recommended.
I wondered when I arrived if we would be able to go as Tromso was experiencing its heaviest snowfall for 16 years, but Anna our guide was a superb driver and extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour as it took us to really out of the way places I would never have seen otherwise. 5 stars for the tour, and thank you again Anna for a superb day.
Absolutely stunning views!! Every turn of the head was just continuous beautiful scenery. We had Kat, who was funny and friendly, and Samuel, who was incredibly informative and taught us so much about the history of some sites as well as some interesting facts about the different environments that we were in. The van was incredibly cramped but we were given sufficient time to get on/off so overall that was fine. Would definitely recommend this experience :)
This tour was a fantastic overview of local fjords. I had never seen a fjord before and was absolutely blown away by the scenery I witnessed today. My guide, Kat, was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. She brought us to some excellent view points and let the guests go at their own pace with taking photos and observing the scenery. We were also lucky enough to see some harbor seals and reindeer at two of the viewpoints. I did this tour on the last day of a week-long stay in Tromsø and truly feel like I ended it on a high note. The only reasons I gave this tour 4 stars are because the van was very cramped (I was arm-to-arm with another guest and against the wall the whole time) and lunch was not included like the itinerary states, so I would recommend eating a late breakfast or bringing a sandwich to eat on the drive back.
We did a Fjord Trip and a Northern Lights Chase on the same day with Green Adventure. They are very different experiences, and I would recommend both. For the fjord trip, you are out during the daylight, so you really get to take in the natural beauty. We also saw reindeer and a moose. Our guide, Anna, was great and very knowledgeable. The van was a bit tight and I ended up not being able to sit with my wife. That's my only complaint. Highly recommend this trip with Green Adventure.
Samuel our guide was excellant.Very knowledgeable. The scenery on this trip was amazing.Fabulous trip
It was stated on the booking that a **max** of 15 would be on board. Looking at the vehicle, this is why we booked this "comfortable" experience. I am 6'1" and my son is 6'5". We are don't travel unless we have the money to get comfortable seats. We buy exit rows or we don't go (flights, etc.) as it totally ruins any experience if we can't sit comfortably. Though we were the first waiting for the van, we were "checked in" last and we were sent to the last seats on the bus (the only remaining)...we had to sit 4 in the back, knees basically in our lap, totally smashed. There were 16 guests on the bus (exceeding the maximum and our promised experience) and that made a lot of difference as had there been at least one empty seat in that back row, we could have had breathing room. I did tell the driver at the first stop that we could not even buckle our seatbelts (we were told that we must after we drove off) and she told me that if we could not, it was okay...?! We literally could not move to do so, nor could the couple by us. The sights were nice, but the drives were miserable. We had to take our coats on and off every stop finally to try and fit better (all 4 of us in the back did). I finally gave up and quit doing this, which I regretted as I got sick later. I regretted this booking; it was the only bad part of our trip that we had saved for--the worst part by far. We asked to switch seats (if it was this full, there should have been a strategy for seating people). Half way though the trip, two people volunteered to switch us. The driver totally mishandled this situation and the company needs to change the description of the experience.
It was excellent. The guide was wonderful and natural (sorry, don't remember his name, but he was from Spain and is publishing research on whale communication!), knew everything from culture to geology, from local animals to folk tales. The journey was entertaining, the sights were great. We made two unscheduled stops, once to see white ptarmigans in a forest and another time to see reindeer walking through houses in Tromso - he didn't have to do any of these but it meant so much for us. It was a fantastic introduction to Tromso and Norway!
The tour was really well organised, small group (8) and well planned toilet breaks. Aimed more towards adults with great information about the island. Our Spanish guide was AMAZING, he was very knowledgeable about history, wildlife and world issues. It's a photo tour with roughly 7 stops.
We joined the Discover the Fjords of Kvaløya tour on December 5th, and it was truly outstanding. Our guide Ania impressed us with her deep knowledge, genuine enthusiasm, and wonderfully positive attitude throughout the day. She made the experience both informative and uplifting, turning the stunning landscapes into an unforgettable adventure. Highly recommended!
Loved this experience. Usually we are skeptical of organised tours as we like to go to places under our own steam & we have hired a car for the duration of our stay in Tromso, however, we thought we’d try this tour. We are so pleased we did. The group was small, only 15 people, which was perfect for us. Our tour group leader, Jessica, who was from Brazil, had a fantastic knowledge of the area. We learnt so much from her which we wouldn’t have known had we driven the route ourselves. Can’t recommend this company & Jessica, highly enough.
We had a fantastic road trip with Samuel. It has been a snowy time in Tromso, but the clouds broke and Samuel was full of knowledge about the surroundings with a focus on the animal life. He knew all the best spots. We saw reindeer, white grouse, and an otter poking through the waters at one of the fjords. The van itself was comfortable and Samuel’s driving was really quite impressive especially in the snow. I would do this trip again in a heartbeat.
I had the pleasure to have Robert guide this tour. He was very informative and efficient. We saw some wild reindeers although they were a bit further away because they were on private property, but we saw them! He knew where to look too. I loved his first hand knowledge about the fishing towns and the area in general and I was impressed by his driving skills and his logistical knowledge (get to the bathrooms first before the other tours come by). Definitely worth it to have a skilled driver in snow and ice. There was a Fjord that was blocked by snow clouds and it was hard to see and he went back later to show us when it was clear (a little darker outside, but clear). I thought the information was what I was seeking and it was nice to be in a smaller group. This is a photographers type of tour. Some stops were just get out and take pictures and go. Some people brought big wildlife lenses and it was worth it for the reindeer appearances.
Great trip out, driver knowledge about the local area and gave honest opinions on life in the area. Some great stops to take in the scenery.
It was amazing time wonderful staff bath shower bed was very comfortable with breakfast included amazing time there fee for staying was affordable
This experience was amazing. The nature we saw was unreal and our guide was just as great! She knew everything and was such a fun happy person to be around. Definitely recommend spending your morning with Green Adventures!
Awesome trip! We had just couple of hours in Tromso and this tour was great opportunity to see amazing arctic landscapes. Thank you Kat for all your stories about place, we've visited. It was much better than doing it by rental car. I recommend it to everyone who has just few hours in town.
Went for the fjord tour with Petr in March - wonderful views, amazing photo spots, knowledgeable and experienced guide!! :)
A very great trip. We saw beautiful fjords of Kvaloya and sunrise. All the places are good for taking photo. The all white atmosphere let us feel and enjoy the Arctic winter. The driver and guide, JJ, was a very nice guy and shared a lot of local messages. We are very satisfactory to the tour.
My partner and I were looking for something to do on our last day in Tromso and this trip really looked promising so we decided to go for it, and we’re so pleased we did! We had mostly stayed within the city so it was lovely to be able to get out a bit further and see some fantastic Norwegian scenery and wildlife that we otherwise would have missed out on. Our group was small which really allowed us to bond and share some stories and some great holiday tips. Everyone was really friendly and cheerful and our fantastic guide was chatty, full of enthusiasm and local knowledge and encouraged us to have fun and enjoy ourselves. We were lucky enough to see reindeer, lots of birds and even adorable sea otters playing and hunting fish. The weather was also decent, with some amazing colours and cloud formations to give our (very amateur!) photography a boost. We also didn’t go hungry or thirsty and were offered hot chocolate and delicious ginger biscuits en route, and we stopped at a cafe with the most incredible views I’ve ever seen. As an extra bonus, our guide was very helpful and more than happy for us to pop our luggage in the cars trunk, and even dropped us off close to the airport on the way back in to Tromso. All in all, an amazing end to our holiday and we would absolutely recommend it to everybody. We’ll be talking about it for a long time to come!
Matt was very friendly and shared a lot of interest information. Made several stops and had highlights regarding each one of them and also other stories about Norway history and culture. Very good service!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared real life experiences as well as sharing his knowledge re local culture and the Sami people. Took us to see beautiful spots and the ride was absolutely amazing!
This might have been my favorite memory of the trip and it was not only because of the stunning views of the fjords, but because of our guide Peter. He managed to create the most memorable and fun experience of the trip. He was amazing as a guide and easy to talk to and I will definitely consider him a friend after this excursion. He offered so much advice on Norway and traveling and talked about real life and it was just so nice and refreshing. Would book 1,000 times again to get Peter as our guide and I highly recommend the tour in general. The views were stunning and the food was delicious.
Must recommend to see beautiful Fjords. We were lucky to spot some wild otters and reindeers. Good experience overall.
She was a great guide, very knowledgeable, and very friendly. She went out of her way to make the experience great. We were fortunate to see a small herd of reindeer.
I cannot say enough positive things about the Green Adventure team! We did two tours with them and they were phenomenal. We went on a Fjord minibus tour with Anna and it was such a fun day!! Anna was amazing and each stop got better and better! Anna's personality is so fun and it really carried into the entire experience. Our group became great friends throughout the day, we saw stunning views of the fjords, traveled to beautiful villages, and we didn't want the day to end. I truly cannot recommend this company enough. Everything they do is so personal and I am so grateful we booked 2 tours through them! Stop your search, and book with Green Adventure!
Really fantastic tour, beautiful scenery and mind-blowing landscapes. Great option for getting out of the city and seeing more of the surrounding area.
Visiting the island of Kvaloya is another experience and getting to know northern Norway. We did it with Green Adventure and can recommend them. We saw fjords, mountains and reindeer. Our guide Peter showed the beauty of nature, talked about the life of the locals, and took us to wonderful places. The trip was in a small group, which allowed us to integrate. We will remember this trip very fondly.
What an amazing day we had with the Green Adventure! Ana was our guide, who picked us up from the hotel for a private tour of the fjords. The weather was very misty and icy, and Ana found us all the best spots! She had crampons so that we didn't slip over, gave us a delicious soup for lunch while sitting in a fjord watching the Norwegian Sea, and was a wealth of knowledge about all things Tromso, Norway and the Fjords! This was actually the first of two tours we booked with the Green Adventure and we couldn't have found better guides or had a better experience.
Fjords in winter are unforgettable great nature! Giving also a glimpse to norwegian life and culture Kat guided our small group with enthusiasm to Kvaloya's beautiful fjords. Drinking hot chocolate at Grotfjord quasi opposite of Spitsbergen ;-) and then stroll around on the arctic beach is something really, really nice. Thank you Kat for the great day. I would do it again, again, again... Monika
This excursion was amazing, we had a lot of stops with breathtaking views and the photos which we have received from out guide were really beautiful 🙂I highly recommend this trip🙂
We loved our tour to see the fjords and was lucky enough to see reindeer along with the moon shining red on the mountain tops. Kat was our guide and she provided an Informative and wonderful trip She went above and beyond to make our tour exceptional!
This tour was a plus on our visit to Tromsø. Rob gave us a route with which we could make the most of the wonderful sunny day, to see the best corners of the fjords.
We spend beautiful day in Arctic with The Green Adventure guide. We saw many reindeers, lovely beaches and outstanding fjords.
Great tour, spectacular views of Arctic. We loved especially the stories from our guide. We will be back for sure!
Had an amazing day out with my wife, 10 year old and 7 year old visiting the Fjords and taking in the mountain scenery. Our host, Robert, was fantastic picking us up from our Tromso hotel and sharing local knowledge and history of the local area which he grew up in. Thank you Robert for making a great day and if you read this my kids are still talking and pestering me to get your wife's carrot cake recipe!! We'll be back soon hopefully
We did both the fjord tour and northern lights with Robert and Kat. They are a well-run, warm, and small group that pays extra attention to their clients. The photos they provide are gorgeous too!
The tour is just amazingly beautiful. Our guide was really sweat. She made a delicious soup and we had the pleasure to savor it in an sublime spot.
Many thanks to Kat for giving us a relaxed and informative tour of the fjords and the delicious soup 😁
A very inspiring trip in terms of scenery and weather, which we would not have wanted to miss. Kat as our tour guide gave us a lot of insights and dedication and we enjoyed as a group the beautiful views and the winter fresh air. With her sense of humor, it was fun to talk with her so there was quickly a group feeling and every snow shower was an amusing experience. And she has a happy knack for steering the spots mostly to the best weather.
It was amazing the trip and Robert was so kind and explained everything to us! We would definitely recommend them for our tours in Trømso!
Our first day in Tromsø we spent on this tour and we are so glad we did, the sights and views were beautiful. We travelled around different fjords in a small group, with our very knowledgable tour guide Kat. It was made extra special by the homemade soup and cake. Kat also took some incredible pictures of us and the views which were sent within a couple of days. Thank you Kat- we would highly recommend this tour to anyone, it truly was amazing!
Kat was super kind and welcoming and very knowledgable, not only did she take us to the best places to see the fjords, but she also treated us to homemade traditional Norwegian food which was delicious! Would definitely recommend.
Robert showed us beautiful fjords , fishing villages windswept mountains and gave us delicious homemade soup for lunch - great day out.
We took this trip to see more of the surrounding nature of Tromsø. Our guide Kat drove us around Kvaløya and Håkøya to see the natural beauty of the fjords. Meanwhile she provided us with ins and outs about Tromsø, the fjords, the people and more. We had a picknick outdoors in a shelter at Grøtfjord with warm drinks and homemade fishsoup and something sweet to finish lunch. We saw a otter playing in the waves, running on the beach and swimming in the sea. On this day with strong winds, rain and slippery roads we learned about ‘friluftsliv’ and absolutely loved it! Thank youKat for taking care of us.
I had an amazing time on this tour, our tour guide Kat was welcoming and has a great sense of humor. We had a picnic by the beach surrounded by the snow capped mountains. One of the most unique experiences you can have around Tromso. Also, loved the home made soup Kat prepared for us. Highly recommend!
