This was an amazing excursion. We drove into Finland to find clear sky then saw three hours of northern lights. Just beautiful. Our guide was enthusiastic and informative. He started a fire and served reindeer or tomato soup and toasted marshmallows.

The snow was dumping in Tromso the whole day and night we were booked on our Aurora chase and so we didn’t have much hope in finding any clear sky in the chance of seeing the Aurora Borealis but Antonio our guide did an amazing job in making it happen. We ended up driving several hours south of Tromso to find the clear sky. Antonio didn’t stop working the whole night to make it happen, it really was a chase that night. We got to see amazing lights. The van we travelled in was warm and comfortable. The photos we also got were insane. I would definitely recommend this tour.

We had an amazing experience on the Aurora hunt with The Green Adventure. We had an incredibly experienced guide and he made us all feel very comfortable at each step. It was a windy night (wrap up really warm) but we got some spectacular breaks in the cloud (clear skies is the key), even seeing a substorm event. Highly recommend this company and Tromsø for your northern lights experience. Note that the bonfire will make all your clothes smoky so pack spares if this is the start of your trip.

We do not know how he did it, but our guide/driver managed to arrange an incredible light show in the sky for hours. Then we all sat around the campfire and had soup. This is one of the best experiences we ever had. Our flight was cancelled and so we cannot make the original date. The company promptly rescheduled us for the next day. We are very appreciative.

Unforgettable experience seeing the auroras! Our guide was Jessica, she was very knowledgable and approachable. She made sure we were comfortable at all times and really made an effort for us to maximise our chances of seeing the auroras and we did! Cant recommend this experience enough!

The tour was great. I mean we got to see aurora lights and it was a challenging night to do so. We didnt give up and we were rewareded at the end. Very grateful for this experience. We left at 6.20 pm and came back at 3 am so greatly appreciate the effort. They didnt cut any corners when it came to driving and chasing aurora . Definately recommend and the pictures were great after.

Before booking this experience with The Green Adventure, I researched several tour operators, but ultimately chose them based on their excellent reviews and they truly lived up to their reputation. Our guide, Antonio, was absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and made sure to include everyone in the conversation throughout the entire tour. We stopped at four different locations to photograph the Northern Lights, which was breathtaking. That night, we were lucky enough to witness stunning shades of red, pink, and green dancing across the sky. A truly unforgettable night. At our final stop, Antonio set up a cozy bonfire where we enjoyed traditional soup, hot chocolate, tea, and marshmallows while connecting with fellow travelers from around the world. Since our apartment was near the city center, Antonio kindly offered to drop us off nearby so we wouldn’t have to walk alone at night — a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. I can only give this experience 5 stars but if I could, I’d rate it 100! I would absolutely book this tour again.

This is an incredible experience. Travelling around Norway (we went up to Finland!) through all of these beautiful landscapes, the fireplace, the food and the leader JJ was incredible. We did see some faint northern lights, but as a natural phenomenon there is not much control around that. Such a fun experience!

We did a Fjord Trip and a Northern Lights Chase on the same day with Green Adventure. They are very different experiences, and I would recommend both. For the Northern Lights Chase, Jess was our guide and Marcin was our driver. Jess was amazing. She has deep knowledge of the aurora and worked incredibly hard once we reached our campsite. The lights there were impressive but not very vivid, so it was great that Jess continued hunting on the drive back to Tromsø. We were able to pull over a few times and see much more vivid lights than we saw at the site, which we really appreciated. Marcin was also fantastic. He helped find my lost phone and even pulled over so we could take a picture of the van’s thermostat, which read negative 28.5°C. Jess followed up with us by email with recommendations around Tromsø, including excellent food suggestions. Highly recommend Green Adventure and this team.

The green adventure where our Aurora saviours. Our original tour did not show up and they very kindly adjusted things to accommodate us at the very last minute. Wow what an amazing service and so friendly. Of course the ultimate was to experience the Aurora even if only fleeting (less then ten minutes) but it was truly amazing nature at its best provided by the the green adventure. Thanks

We had a brilliant trip on New Year’s Day evening with The Green Adventure crew, and specifically JJ. The trip is as advertised and JJ did everything in his power to find the elusive lights for us , which he did ! There are no negatives to this trip , and would not hesitate to recommend this company and if we are to return to Tromso we would definitely book this trip again. We booked a private tour with The Green Adventure and it could not have been any better. Great communication beforehand from Robert who was always quick to reply with any questions we had. Our tour guide was JJ who was very knowledgeable and passionate about the Northern Lights. JJ also took pictures throughout the night of the lights and of me and my partner. The pictures were great and I cannot thank him enough. 10/10 would recommend this company

We went Northern Lights hunting with The Green Adventure, and it was an outstanding experience. Our guide, Jess, was extremely knowledgeable and well-prepared. She knew exactly where to go to find clear skies. The drive was more than two hours with several stops at proven viewing spots, and we eventually set up camp just before the Finnish border. Perfect timing — we were treated to a breathtaking Northern Lights show for the next 2–3 hours. Dancing lights, shifting colors — everything you could hope for. Jess constantly worked to entertain us and make sure everyone felt comfortable. She built a fire, served warm soup, and we even roasted marshmallows. It created such a cozy atmosphere in the freezing night. For me, the only downside was that the tour felt a bit long; we returned to the hotel around 2:30 a.m., and we could have headed back a little earlier. Still, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend this company to anyone who genuinely wants to see the Aurora. Highly recommended!

Antonio was our guide for the evening and he was absolutely fantastic — very knowledgable, enthusiastic, and determined to get us to a spot where we’d see the aurora, even on a very cloudy night where we were racing against the weather. Antonio knew exactly where to go and we headed about an hour and a half south onto the mainland and then as far north as we could go there to a little clearing in a forest that he knew about. Lovely to be part of a small group in a minibus too, rather than a big coach, and the soup, hot chocolate, and marshmallows added a lush little touch! Cannot recommend this tour enough — a perfect experience!

Poor weather forecats, but an amazing experience! A special shout out to Antonio, who did his best, followed his forecast and instincts and managed to provide us with the most amazing Northern Lights experience! We were worried because the forecast was not good - cloudy sky, BUT Antonio knew where to go, so he was confident, we were driving a lot, many buses stopped before us but he knew we had to go a bit further and then, in the right moment, we stopped and we had it - clear skies and massive Aurora. Couldn't have asked for a better trip, recommending 100%

What a fabulous night, our guide Julien was brilliant, very friendly and knowledgeable about the aurora. We drove all the way to Finland and it was challenging initially to get a clear sky but we got there and the aurora gave us a wonderful show, so strong and all over the sky. A truly special night. This is very well organised tour, we were only 9 people which made the event even better. We had soup around the campfire and marshmallows. Great memories, I would book again with these guys

JJ was a great guide! He did his very best to make sure everyone had a great time, let us know that we were free to return to the van at any point that we got too cold, and his photography skills were amazing. While the lights are out of any guide's control, they really showed up for us! We also had a great spot by a frozen lake with mountains in the background-- it was a dream. Pick up and car rides were smooth and easy, we were in the 8 person group and I would definitely recommend that group size or smaller!

This trip was amazing. The weather was not good but JJ and our driver did a fantastic job and we saw the lights. We got some great photos and the lights were definitely amazing. This was a bucket list thing to see and thanks to this trip we experienced it.

We did this tour with Kat and Rob. What a dedicated team, they found for us northern lights in a hopeless night. they are the best in Tromso, we did also 2 other tours with cheaper companies, but then you can realize who works in this industry for years. On the other tours even if it was end of the season I had a feeling that they have random guides. Unlike The Green Adventure, they knew what they are doing from pick up to the end of the journey when we safely came back to our hotel. Yes! They have hotel drop off.

We drove for hours and didn't see the lights but it seemed like our guide Lukas really tried his best. He was just as disappointed as the rest of us. Along the way he shared his thought processes and about how they go about chasing the lights. Thermal suits were good, clean and readily available. Headlamps available too. The Reindeer soup by the bonfire was yummy, but don't expect it to be enough for a whole meal. Overall would recommend!

It was really an unforgettable experience! Everything was well-tailored and very organized. Lukas, our tour guide, was very enthusiastic, lively and he really made sure that we'll enjoy the whole experience by achieving our goal of seeing the Aurora Borealis. I would never forget this!

Before traveling from Canada to Norway to see the northern lights, me and my sister spent more hours than I care to admit combing through aurora hunt listings for one that looked perfect for us - and I'm extremely happy to say that Green Adventures did not disappoint. We had an amazing night of non-stop aurora shows that was only bettered by the company of our amazing guide and driver. We made a couple of different stops to chase the lights where they looked their brightest, and then settled in on our final location with no one around but our group and a warm fire. Something interesting I noticed is that while one of our guides was driving, our photographer was I think taking images of the aurora through the window, probably to track how good the lights looked on camera. You could definitely tell that the guides wanted to find the lights just as badly as we did. Also, we did not share a viewing spot with any other tour at any of our stops - I had worried about this being a possibility before coming, so that was a big plus for me. In terms of objective positives: this tour lasts a long time, thermal suits are offered to anyone who is interested, the photographers are very skilled, the bus is comfortable and warm, and all photos are shared with your group for free through a link shortly after the tour date. You can purchase the photos for a fee to have the watermark removed, or if you're looking to blow your photo up and hang it on the wall. Though, if you have no plans to purchase a photo, I will say that the watermark on the free version is small (on the bottom of the image) and quite inoffensive to look at. With all of that being said, one of the biggest positives of this tour for me was honestly the vibe. Our photographer was skilled, personable, and extremely excited to watch us all experience the lights. Talking with everyone in our group around the fire was a very sweet experience, and we met some really awesome people that we probably never would've crossed paths with otherwise. One girl even showed up in full Cosplay which was so cool. After everyone had their photos at our final location I even asked the photographer for some photos of me with different contrasts and poses. I'm not sure which of us was more happy with the photo experimentation honestly. All in all, this was the best part of my trip to Norway (and my birthday) and I would absolutely do a tour again with Green Adventures. I hope everyone scouring through pages upon pages of aurora hunt listings like I was a few months ago gets to have as good of an experience on their tour as I did on mine. Ps. they sign off their emails with "may aurora be with you" - and I think that's really cool.

It was a lifetime dream that came true. The Aurora was incredible!! A stunning experience. JJ did his best for all of us. Thanks to Green Adventure, JJ and Timo we are bringing back in Greece an unforgettable night and beautiful memories.

This was a perfect experience. Our guide Lukas gave us all the information about the Northern Lights and he did it in a funny way. He has excellent knowledge and showed us the app that we could use for our own Auroral activity in the following days. The other clients on the bus were of different nationalities and it was great to chat with them. Lukas took us to a very nice place. We were on the beach and after a while the show in the sky started. All that green beauty was reflected in the water. We got reindeer soup, hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows. We got back a little before midnight, so we saw the fireworks and had a toast by bubbles together before we said goodbye. Thank you for this experience.

We arrived at Tromso with snowstorm, so we almost lost our hope to see the northern lights. We rescheduled the tour as our plan was changed one week prior to the tour. Luckily, we got to see the incredible dancing northern lights (with red and purple color captured from the guide / photographer's camera) after quite a drive to Finland to get clear sky. Personally, I went to few trips in Iceland, Norway (Lofoten, Tromso), and Finland (Rovaniemi) in the past several years, but all I got was rain and snow. I managed to see only a glimpse of NL during those trips. This is the first time that I saw such amazing NL show. Our all-in-one guide (JJ) is capable and knows where to get the best place (less crowded and clear sky). The hot soup in freezing weather is tastier than usual :).

What a fantastic experience! The Green Adventure gave us an unforgettable night, they really care about their guests and want them to have the best experience possible. Our guide Adam had the knowledge and the patience needed to make sure if Lady Aurora was out we were going to see her. We were so fortunate not only did she put on a show but an incredible one too! It was a fantastic Aurora Hunt with our great tour guide and very professional photographer Antonio. After two short stops he took us to a beautiful beach to watch the amazing polar lights for more than two hours. He prepared a camp fire, warm soup, hot chocolate and marshmellows for us and was also very enthusiastic to take pictures of the aurora and the guests. I received the photos today and they are just amazing. I highly recommend this aurora small group tour.

The Green Adventure – the name says it all. It is a Northern Lights tour operator based in Tromsø, and I highly recommend it if you want to chase the lights. My tour guide, Lukas, and our driver, Martin, were fantastic. Lukas is charismatic and entertaining, sharing valuable information about the aurora. He also helped us learn how to use tracking apps and set up our cameras and phones for photographing the night sky. As a professional photographer, he provided helpful tips. We stopped at two different locations to make the most of the timing, capturing incredible photos of the aurora in all its glory. At the second stop, we set up a campfire where we enjoyed reindeer stew, hot chocolate, and marshmallows while the lights danced across the sky. It was a magical night that I will always treasure and a perfect night to remember and cherish!
