The hotel combines an excellent location, comfortable rooms, friendly service, and a fantastic breakfast experience. 📍 Location: 10/10 The location is outstanding — right by the harbor with beautiful waterfront views, and within easy walking distance of shopping malls, restaurants, and local attractions. It is both convenient and scenic, while still offering a peaceful atmosphere. 🛏️ Room: 10/10 Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with a very comfortable bed and a good-sized bathroom. The floor-to-ceiling windows provided a spectacular view, making the room even more enjoyable. 🤝 Service: 10/10 The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Check-in and check-out were efficient and hassle-free. 🍽️ Food: 10/10 The breakfast was a highlight — an excellent selection with plenty of variety and consistently high quality. Solid hotel with a perfectly central location in Tromso. Added sauna and fitness have a really good views. Breakfast was good, with above average selection (as hotel is popular with tour groups, breakfast can get occassionaly quite busy). Room (460) was well sized, though bathroom was a bit on the small side. Cleanliness could be improved, as some sheets had stains.

In the off-season in May, the hotel was almost empty. We asked for a room upgrade, and the lady at reception was very welcoming and friendly. She kindly gave us a room with a beautiful mountain and fjord view — thank you again! The breakfast room was also great and offered plenty of choice, even though some staff were on strike at the time. We especially enjoyed the saunas, which are separated by gender and have an amazing view from the 10th floor. The gym also had a fantastic view. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

he Radisson Blu Hotel in Tromsø is a solid option, especially since hotel choices in Tromsø are somewhat limited. The location is excellent and makes it very easy to walk around the downtown area, restaurants, and the harbor. The hotel itself was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful both at check-in and when we had questions during our stay. The room was comfortable overall, though it was quite dark and the heating/cooling system was a little difficult to manage since you can only adjust the set temperature up or down rather than fully control it. Getting in/out of the shower was tricky, thankfully they have a bar to help you climb in/out One thing the hotel could improve is clearing ice on the sidewalks immediately around the property. In winter conditions this would make coming and going a bit safer. Breakfast at Charlie’s was decent, but in my opinion not really worth the extra cost as the selection felt somewhat limited. A few small notes for travelers: the towels are large but not very soft, and like most accommodations in Tromsø right now, the hotel is fairly expensive. That said, pricing seems to be high across the entire area. Overall, we had a good stay. It’s a clean, well-located hotel with friendly staff. Just go in knowing that Tromsø is an expensive destination and adjust expectations accordingly.
