Tortuguero National Park Canals Kayaking Tour

We did a Kayaktour with Warren and He was the best Guide we could imagine. He told us a lot about the life in Costa Rica, Tortuguero and of course about the wildlife. For us he was the pefect example for Pura Vida! Apart from that, he gave us his personal contacts for our further journey. In short, it was a wonderful tour with a very special guide. In my opinion, the BEST experience you can do in Tortuguero. With the kayak you go pretty deep in the mangroves, and I wouldn't suggest going on your own because it's very easy to get lost. A good alternative to the canoe because you're free to move as you wish as long as you stay close to the other participants. They took pictures of us and shared them, we also took pictures of our own. You get a little wet as you paddle but as long as you have a wet bag you're fine. Our group was not too big, we were 6 people. The paddling was easy, with frequent stops to admire the animals, and only a longer paddle at the end. We saw a lot of birds, iguanas, monkeys, a cayman (very close-up!)

On the canoe trip and jungle walk we saw lots of animals including sloths, monkeys, caimans, frogs, lizards and lots of birds. The nature itself would have been wonderful even without the animals. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly.

It was a very nice experience, we saw many interesting animals and plants, our guide Kendrick explained everything about the ecosystem and the forest, highly recommended this tour

We were treated to a super special canoe tour today by our wonderful guide and captain Kendrick. Kendrick was super patient with us (as this was the first time we have ever paddled a canoe) and by the end of the tour we were paddling like professionals. We saw lots of great wildlife and Kendrick shared his detailed knowledge with us. Fully recommend this tour to anyone. A unique way of discovering an incredible nature reserve.

We have been ENORMOUSLY lucky to do the tour with Warren, a charming man. He made the tour magical for us, took us to secluded places, only listening to the sound of nature, told us many interesting things about the park and about Costa Rica, and answered all our questions. He gave us a calm tour, without rushing, and prioritizing our enjoyment at all times. I would definitely recommend taking the tour with him. A 10 out of 10 person and guide

The activity with Marco was a 10. Very good guide who explained everything to us in detail. We have seen crocodiles, caimans, all kinds of birds and iguanas. I recommend it 100%. Pure life

It was spectacular, we saw caimans, a crocodile, turtles, birds, the guide Marco was very good and explained many interesting things to us. Pura vida.

Beautiful kayak ride on the canals of Tortuguero. Solo the rhythm is too intense to enjoy the scenery and take pictures. At least specify it in the activity or at the time of registration.

I was convinced by the comments to prefer the kayak tour than canoe. The kayak ride was nice. But solo not enough time out to enjoy and take pictures. It was mostly 2.5 hours to paddle. Which is a lot. It's a shame we didn't mention it in the activity

Beautiful experience to learn about the canals of the park and its animals and birds. 2.30h kayaking in the main channels and in the labyrinth of the secondary. Exceptional even in the rain. Nice kayaks for one or two. Pre-departure breakfast offered.

One of the best excursions on our trip. We have seen many animals and had perfect weather. There were four of us (with guide) on the road, which was also very pleasant. Our guide Andy gave us a lot of information about the animals and the surrounding area. It was a lot of fun, thank you!!

The guide was very friendly and explained curiosities smile fauna, and insisted that we could see the vast majority of animals possible always respecting their habitat. Kayaking by merwcio tortoise is a very nice area

Despite being somewhat demanding, it is worth taking a walk along the canals and contemplating various species in their natural habitat. Tivy’s explanations of the environment and his expertise in locating almost imperceptible animals were great.

Tivy made us spend some very pleasant hours on the Kayak tour, where we saw all kinds of animals and we could go into the canals to feel in the same jungle. Of the most recommended!

The tour was great, we left a little later due to group organization but they made up for it by staying longer. The guide Tibi was a delight, she helped us find many animals and we had a great time.

Excellent tour with Andy. He taught us everything. Very pleasant morning by canoe through the canals of Tortuguero. He wore ponchos in case it rained. All very excellent.

It was a unique and highly recommended experience, our guide Jairo took us kayaking through small canals to see the maximum animals, he was explaining everything about them as you can see that he likes and is very specialized.

Very happy with the tour. Sport, nature, animals... very complete the activity. We saw alligators, iguanas, turtles, monkeys, different birds... Delighted with the treatment of Tivy, very nice and very interesting the things he told us. Highly recommended!!!

Wow. What a lovely guide. Full of passion he told all sorts of things about all the flora and fauna. Even longer than the indicated 2.5 hours we were on the road. It was fantastic!

The Canoe Tour to Tortuguero was great! We saw monkeys, iguanas, an alligator, butterflies, birds, a turtle, thanks to the guide Kendrick who was very friendly and willing to help us see the animals and answer all our questions about this wonder of ecosystem! Recommended!

Jairo was an excellent guide went beyond expectations with great knowledge of the history of the place and the wildlife that surrounds it also showed much love for his work.

This was certainly one of the best experiences we had during our trip. Andy was incredibly passionate, friendly and knowledgeable about every corner we visited. You could tell he loves what he does, and that made all the difference. He made us feel at home from the very beginning, and thanks to him we were able to enjoy the best view anyone could have. My family and I agreed that he was the best guide we have ever had in all of Costa Rica. Thank you, Andy, for making our journey unforgettable!
