Tortola Private Tour And Snorkeling In The Most Beautiful Beaches

My husband & I did a 4 hour, private island tour with snorkeling/swimming time . Our driver/guide was great. Not only was she knowledgeable about the area, she detailed the itinerary to what we wanted to see & do. We were able to see most of the island as she explained so much about it. The beach she took us to snorkel & swim was gorgeous and not crowded. It was an excellent choice. She even collected a few small sea shells for me to take home. My husband had mentioned to her that I always brought a few back from places we had visited to display at home. She also went out of the way to help me find some coffee from one of the islands to take home to my best friend. This was our last stop on the trip & was the one gift I wanted but had not yet found. It was a great, special time that my husband & really enjoyed.

Alicia was so kind and very passionate about her love of Tortola. We were picked up at the port and got a private tour of the island. We did a nice hike to a bat cave and then got to have pictures taken out on a rocky point with a beautiful view. We stopped at several beaches to walk and take pictures and Alicia knew exactly where to go to avoid the busy beaches full of cruise tourists. We stopped for amazing smoothies and then went snorkeling at a beautiful quiet beach. Alicia provided the snorkel equipment and knew exactly where to take us to see all kinds of fish. The water was beautiful and so clear. This was a wonderful day on Tortola.

We were excited for this tour based on reviews, although expensive. Our guide accommodated a 9:30 start, but she arrived 10 min late. She did not explain the itinerary. We went to a bat cave with no bats and the car battery disconnected when she tried to start the car. She managed to fix it. Then we went to a beach bar at Cane Garden to get take away lunch on our guide’s suggestion. However we waited an hour for food and we only went to smugglers cove and could not go to any of the national parks promised. The beach was packed and we were never given beach chairs promised. Our guide gave her car keys to my friend to keep because she didn’t have a safe place to keep them while I went snorkeling. Our guide snorkeled on her own and didn’t really give me direction. She did not know any of the fish and she gave us her phone to google facts about the island because she couldn’t remember. She misplaced her keys again and I told her where to find them. Finally she took speed bumps too fast and seemed to damage the car, which began to make a banging noise. My friend and I were grateful the car made it back to port in one piece. We finally ate our takeout lunch at the port, which was pretty good, and breathed a sigh of relief that this tour was over.

Get a side of the island that few tourists see. If you want to ride the roads, see the sights, hike the trails, and snorkel beautiful water with a local then this is the tour for you. Alicia asked us first and foremost what we wanted out of our day. Did we want to snorkel, hike, see tourist areas? We asked for a mixture of it all and by golly did we get it, and some! Alicia graciously picked us up at our resort. Between taking us to the Bat Cave for pristine views and Smugglers Cove for picture perfect snorkeling, Alicia was the ever informative host. During our trip my wife and I were full of smiles and laughs. I would recommend Alicia to my friends and close relatives.

Alícia was amazing. This was my second excursion with Alicia after booking the Thai Reiki Massage. She picked me up for snorkeling in Smugglers Bay and Brewers Bay. While driving around the island she explained about all the other areas and what they were known for. (Families, Italian food, partying etc). We also took a small nature hike to the Bat Cave near Brewers Bay and to the top of the mountain what we had great views of I think about every island in BVI and USVI. I had my own mask and snorkel, and she brought me fins. I think she has masks but verify. I would most definitely recommend Alicia and would book again if/when I return.

The day with Alicia was so much fun. We went completely off the beaten path and spent a wonderful day in nature, hiking up Sage mountain, hiking back to the Bat Cave, climbing around rocks and a long afternoon of snorkeling in Smugglers Cove. She also created a fun go-pro video of the day for me to keep.

We had a great time, touring around the island and snorkeling on a local spot that was secluded from most normal common tourist traffic. we did a short little hike, which was perfect for our family with young kids. definitely want to come back and do the boat tour next time!

Alicia was great and we had a full day. She packed in all the stops and beaches. We even had time for lunch. She didn’t just sit and wait on us to finish each activity. She actually hiked and snorkeled with us and video us. She emailed me a great recap of our day. We will definitely do again one day!

If you're looking for the ultimate tour of Tortola with the ultimate guide, then this trip is for you! Alicia's vast knowledge of the island's flora and fauna is exceeded only by her deep love for Mother Nature. She took us to see all the most beautiful spots, and was full of fascinating information at each location. At the end, we went snorkelling at Smuggler's Cove, and it was magnificent. Her priority is your enjoyment, and it really shows. Well worth the time and money. Highly recommended!

Alicia was amazing. She met us where we got off the cruise ship. We got a very personalized tour of the island. It's was such a great experience to not hit all the tourist places. The beaches were pristine, we had a great hike lots of history about the island, beautiful snorting with a light snack in the beach. We wanted to get away from the overly-crowded cruise excursions and really see Tortola, so we booked, through Viator, the Private Jeep Tour and Snorkel with Alicia Serena. Alicia picked us up at the cruise port; with her friendly manner and charming personality, we knew it was going to be a good day! Our first stop was Sage Mountain National Park where we hiked to the highest point while Alicia pointed out flora and fauna as well as great conversation about the island of Tortola. Amazingly, we didn't see another soul on the trail which was mostly easy to navigate, but definitely a climb up. After the hike we made some great stops for pictures and arrived a gorgeous beach where we prepared to snorkel. Alicia had snacks (oh, those dried mangos, yum!), water, juice, towels and good quality snorkeling gear. Once in the water Alicia proved herself to not only being an inexhaustible hiker and proficient driver, but we think she is also part mermaid. As we snorkeled above, she kept her go-pro filming as she free-dived below. It was great fun! With another stop at a secluded beach for a light snack and a few more photo ops, the day ended way too quickly. The hours just flew by. We started the day with a tour guide and ended the day with a new friend. We will enjoy the video Alicia sent to us for years to come. Our group of 6 had a wonderful day with Alicia and James. We loved learning so much about the island and discovering places off the beaten path. We felt like we had the island to ourselves and had the best guides. The snorkeling was great, and we enjoyed being able to both take it easy and see so many different areas of Tortola.

We had a wonderful day with Alecia on our private tour of Tortola today! Alecia tailored the experience to our interests and truly gave us an immersive exposure to the best of the island. She was incredibly attentive with our teenager knowing where every lobster and school of fish were hiding on the reef. She did a Go Pro video of the entire experience to share with us as well. Alicia was so high energy and had tailored our experience to our desires! We were able to snorkel, hit a nice local lunch spot, take a hike, and jam in the car. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to maximize their time in Tortola especially for cruise ship guests where you have limited time on the island.

I am sorry to write this review but, in 'good faith', I can't let other travelers have expectations that are not met. Our family of (6) adults booked this JEEP tour. The vendor confirmed the JEEP tour could accommodate (6) adults and yet, we were in a van. No open air; no warning; no fun. In addition, the agenda, as promoted in the listing, was NOT fulfilled. It lists (6) stops with admission included. We were in the van longer than we were out enjoying the island. No admission was paid at our (3) stops. Lunch stop at a 'local' establishment was promised throughout the day and yet, we did not stop for lunch. WORST TOUR I HAVE EVER BOOKED. (FYI - I have awarded 5 star ratings on the 35+ previous tours I have booked with other vendors. I did attempt to negotiate a small, partial refund with this vendor, which was denied)

This tour offered everything advertised. Alesia was excellent and worked hard to attend to our every need she explained all that we saw, provided equipment for snorkeling as well as drinks and snacks. Just a note. If you are prone to motion sickness be sure to take medication or other preventatives. The roads are steep and curvy.

Alicia took us all over the island for an unforgettable tour. We got to see regular everyday parts of the island in addition to the tourist spots. Alicia took us snorkeling and later to a quiet, relaxing, beautiful beach for more swimming. We would definitely book this tour again when visiting Tortola!

The drive, beaches, and look out points were all incredible. Got to see so much of the island and even saw an octopus while we were out snorkeling. Alicia’s energy is unparalleled — she such a fun guide and very considerate of what we wanted to go do. Would go again for sure!!!

Alicia did a nice job of guiding us around the island. We particularly enjoyed smugglers bay. A fair amount of time in the vehicle. She’s pleasant and hard-working, and I would recommend this tour for a good experience of Tortola. My only suggestion would be that the meeting point be clearly decided upon in advance. We left that kind of loose and took us about 10 minutes to meet up with one another.

Beautiful morning in BVI, had so much fun exploring the island, visiting beautiful beaches, lots of photo opportunities and go pro too! Went snorkeling and swimming. Alicia was friendly, and so much fun, very knowledgeable. Had delicious healthy snacks with water and soda. Amazing experience. We there on a cruise port. Where do I start!!!! I did a solo trip to the beautiful BVI islands. I was staying in St. Thomas so I had to take a ferry to Tortola. Alicia picked me up from there and we started our adventure. From the moment I contacted her before the tour she was super sweet and answered all of my questions. She also let me modify and add some stops to our day. Not ony did she take me to some AMAZING beaches but I got to go to the Tortola sign, Plant Wise for a delish vegan meal, took a pic at the I love BVI sign and snorkeling. Though I have traveled throughout the Caribbean I have not done much snorkeling because of my previous experience. But Alicia made me comfortable to try again and I LOVED IT!! She brought all of the right gear even if you are not a strong swimmer. It was the best snorkel experience I've had. So glad I did it. She's so knowledgeable about the island and my goodness she helped me with my mission to find a liquor bottle that said made in BVI. She took me to a number of shops until we found it which I appreciated. Some would have stopped trying by the 3rd shop but she kept driving me around till I found a shop that had it. She's sweet, kind and truly a GEM! I would do another tour with her in a heartbeat and highly recommend this tour. Oh and another bonus, she captures you at the diff spots with her GoPro and after the trip she sends you a little video which I thought was a great add on (at not extra cost). I was nervous that there would be an extra charge but there wasn't so now not only do I have my pics on my phone but I have a short video on everywhere we went with me in it. LOVED that touch. This was a true experience of the island. Though group tours can be nice something like this that's personalized is worth it because you really get to see and learn about the island.

5 - we were looking for a casual day. Hoping for history and local life. It was both. Had a fun experience. Loved the plant life.
