Private Hiking Tour In British Virgin Island With The Best 360 View

Had a wonderful tour of the island with a great hike, Summit peak, a definite must to see. Beaches were beautiful. People were friendly. Island was clean and welcoming, can't wait to return.

A perfectly organized trip. Excellent guides. Everything was absolutely fine. I highly recommend it. It should be noted that the climb is truly physically demanding. The combination of high humidity, high temperatures, and a steep ascent within a short time frame determined by the cruise ship’s arrival and departure is not for everyone. Some members of our group underestimated the physical demands of the hike and, for safety reasons, remained at a designated point halfway up while the rest of the group continued to the summit. The guides handled this situation with great professionalism, ensuring everyone’s safety and comfort at all times. Those who complete the entire climb are rewarded with spectacular views of the BVI. Once again, thank you for the perfect organization.

We hiked to the Bat Cave and drove to the 360 view spot. Our guide, Kahliim, was so knowledgeable about the local history and nature. The hike and the views were so beautiful! Our ages ranged from 50 to 15 and we all agreed it was the best excursion we’d been on. Kahliim pointed us in the direction of some good local food and shopping after the trip. He definitely made the trip stand out as our favorite.

Excellent hike - it’s not an easy one, so make sure you are in good physical condition so you can complete the hike and see the amazing views! We asked to stop at the beach as we had extra time and our driver was excellent about it. Glad we did the private tour and not the one from the ship.

We had a great time on this hike with Seph, our tour guide. He picked us up at Maria's By The Sea, which is a short walk from the cruise port. On our very scenic 25 minute drive to the hike, Seph was very friendly and informative about Tortola and the surrounding islands. The hike is listed as moderate and was a little more challenging than I was expecting. Seph was patient and stopped when we needed to catch our breath or take a short break. While challenging, the breathtaking views from the top made the hike worth it. Water was provided during the hike, with juice, fresh fruit and cool wash cloths provided at the end. The drive back, a different route was taken and was also very informative. 10/10 recommend Seph and this hike.

Beautiful views from the top! Hiked to Mount Alma - last 15 minutes of hike was a rocky climb but was so fun. Seph was an awesome guide and made sure I knew where to step and offered help where needed. Will definitely do this again if I am ever back in BVI.

Hike BVI!!! Let me start off by saying this was the best hiking experience I've ever had. Upon arrival to our hiking destination Sef welcomed everyone in our group and made sure we knew what we were in for. With this being a "hard" hike Sef reassured us that we would have all the support we needed along the way. As we made our way up the trails our group was instructed on best footwork placement to safely prevent any injuries. This was also done on our hike back down. We also made stops to catch our breath which made a huge difference on such a challenging hike. Along the way, Sef also schooled us on BVI history which made the experience even more enjoyable. Once we made it to the summit of Mount Alma we were stunned at the breathtaking views that made the hike so worth it! The picturesque landscape of the beautiful islands that make up the British Virgin Islands and USVI made for a perfect photo opportunity for memories that'll last a lifetime. When we made it back down to the starting point of our trail we were greeted with refreshments such as locally made fresh fruit juices and Johnny cake. That thoughtful gesture was delightful. We then ended our hike with a beach cool down. I'll be back!!!

We did the hike to the top of Mt Alma as an excursion offered through our Virgin Voyages cruise. I ignored the warnings about its strenuous nature, thinking that as a 28-year-old leading a fairly active life, I would manage just fine. Boy, was I wrong! The elevation gain hit me hard during the second half of the hike. Despite needing to stop every 50 feet to catch my breath, the guides were phenomenal at keeping my motivated. Dion, in particular, ensured I reached the top and captured plenty of photos at the peak. If you're confident in your hiking abilities and not bothered by elevation, I highly recommend this hike. However, if your gym membership card collects more dust than sweat, it might be best to sit this one out 😅. The views are absolutely stunning though!

Absolutely Wonderful Early Morning Hike! The View is Worth the Workout!!! Best Hike I’ve Ever Been On!

Our family had the best time hiking Mt. Alma with Sef. We wanted something different from the excursions offered on our cruise. We also wanted to see more of the island than just the port. This experience provided both of these things and more. Sef is an incredibly knowledgeable guide. He is also beyond patient (it was hot and I was slow), friendly, and hospitable. The little details, like lemonade, cold towels, and fruit, added a truly special touch to the whole experience. We especially loved that it was just our family. And the views from Mt. Alma are indescribably gorgeous. The tour definitely made us want to come back to Tortola and stay longer than the few hours our cruise afforded us.

This tour had beautiful views! The climb was challenging but not too long. Sef, our guide, was very knowledgeable and was able to point out wildlife and plants native to the area. A snack and drinks were even provided at the top of the hike! The meeting spot was easy to find and the transportation was clean and comfortable. Sef gave us suggestions on foods and drinks to try while on the island and even drove us by the store so we could grab a few things before heading back to our cruise ship. We really enjoyed the experience and would love to go on some of the other hikebvi tours in the future.

Sef was an awsome guide! Answer fast to email's, is thoughtful, knowledgeable and fit for the job! He had some cooling towels and ice cold lemonade for us at the top of the mountain. We enjoyed the little attention. Took photos of us and airdropped them to us, so we have photos of us in action! Mount Alma is definitly a physical challenge no matter your level of conditionning. I would not recommend for people with no hiking experience. According to Sef, you would probably enjoy the pineapple trail more, which also seemed really enjoyable. The trail itself is a bit narrow at the beginning with a lot of tropical vegetation, thanks to Sef that was opening the trail for us. We also asked for a little stop at the beach on the way back! The beach (Long Bay beach) was awesome, not to crowded, calm (the water and the people), white sand. Sef and BVItour are trustworthy and working really hard too bring some interesting activities.

The view is amazing! I almost died but it was worth it! I had a blast! It was a very challenging hike but it definitely showed that these hikes are for every fit level. I went with my significant other and 2 coworkers. We were in the elite group eh!🤣 It wasn't my first hike with him but it was thoroughly refreshing and felt like a first all over again. Definitely will be doing more in the future!

I first went on a hike with Sef who runs HikeBVI in July 2020. Since then he has gone from strength to strength and I was keen to try out the hike to Mt Alma. Classified as moderate to hard, I certainly found the ascent more hard than moderate. Mt Alma isn’t particularly high, but parts of the trail are uneven and steep. However, very doable and the views at the top are great. Once back down we were treated to delicious bowls of fresh fruit and lemonade. The cooling cloth was also very welcome- I certainly sweated out a lot of toxins! The booking process through WhatsApp was straight forward and Sef provided clear directions to the meeting place on Beef Island – finding places in the BVI isn’t always easy! It’s a friendly and well run outfit and I look forward to my next hiking adventure with Hike BVI.

This was my first hike with Hike BVI and also my first hike on this trail. It was just enough challenge and plenty of fun! I also learned some new information about the BVI while on this hike. I love the collaboration of creative and fun aspects to the various hiking options available. I would definitely recommend you take a hike with Hike BVI.

I had great experience. I highly recommend. I thoroughly enjoyed the music Seth played along the trail. It also help those who lagged a little behind. The 360 scenic was worth the uphill trek. The cool towel, bowl of fruit and fresh lemonade was a very nice way to end the hike.
