Jost Van Dyke - Sandy Spit & Soggy Dollar Sailing Tour In The Bvi

Everything was amazing . It’s our 2nd time with this company. Communicating is very easy . Pick and drop off even better for cruise ship passengers. Our day was spend with Hego and Nikki not sure if I spell correctly the names. Was only 10 of us all day . De for to swim at a few spots. Food and drinks were a big plus. Like they say “ you get what you pay for” we got even more.

A ten out of ten! Captain Hugo and Nicki were amazing and very helpful. Nicki is a wonderful chef, food was amazing and the activities were very fun. Beautiful scenery and wonderful beaches.

What an incredible day exploring beautiful Jost Van Dyke by catamaran! The crew was friendly, welcoming, attentive, and so much fun! They went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable, safe, and having a fantastic time. If you are coming by cruise ship they will pick you up at the port! Nice ride over to the catamaran. Lunch and drinks included! Don’t hesitate to book this! One of our favourite adventures!! We will book again next time in BVI!

It was the highlight of our trip, and that says a lot because we were coming off a Disney cruise for this excursion! The sail boat was fantastic, our hosts were also fantastic! Lunch was great and the drinks were an added touch to keep the activities and atmosphere fun. For reference I booked this excursion because the similar one on Disney was sold out. I’m so glad we did, it was a full day of activities, the beaches were great, and we had a lot of time at the main location to enjoy it. My parents (70s), my husband and 6 year old son were also on this trip. It was perfect for all of them and catered to each age group. There were not too many people and my son even made a friend on the trip and got to sail the boat for a few minutes. Snorkel gear and life jackets were available and one of the funnest parts was jumping off the boat to get to the beaches. Totally doable for everyone on the trip. I would hands down book this excursion again! It was 100% worth it.

If you like sea, sun and sailing this tour is for you. We were on a cruise and I did not book through the ship. I was a little concerned about the pick up which was very smooth. The captain and first mate were excellent. They were very friendly and professional. They served food and drink on the boat which was also a plus. There was something for everyone. I would absolutely book this tour again. It was great and a lot of fun.

What a great experience for a family of 4. James (aka Chris because I kept getting his name wrong) and Dewey were amazing as they sailed the catamaran! Family friendly atmosphere, great rum punch, amazing weather, great lunch! Couldn’t ask for a better experience! Met the transfer team at the cruise port in Road Town and a 20 min ride over to the catamaran!

What a great time. Beautiful catamaran with excellent weather so we got to sail over to White Beach where we enjoyed some cocktails. Great lunch back on board and more cocktails and sailing. And then best part, we met some lifelong friends and made memories! Totally recommend this excursion with Chris and Dewey!!

I had so much fun on board the Aristocats Sails! The crew was amazing with various different drinks. The trip was very informative. Lunch was delicious! I would definitely recommend this trip to all my friends, my boyfriend and I really had an amazing time.

Over the years we’ve done several day sails with Aristocat. Every single time we’ve gone, the whole family agrees it’s the highlight of our BVI trip. We’ve always had a great crew, and James and Maddy were no exception. We actually enjoyed our first trip so much that we booked a second trip before we got off the boat.If you have a day to spare, it’s well worth the money and time. Can’t wait to go again!

I've cruised about a dozen times. This was hands down the best excursion I've experienced. Captain James and Maddie were incredible. The hospitality was top notch and that only added to the experience. The ride to and time at Jost Van Dyke would have been more than enough to make this worthwhile. Another island after (smugglers beach) and a wonderful trip between islands only added to the experience. My kids loved it, my wife loved it, and I loved it. I couldn't ask for more and will book this everytime I'm back. For now I'll keep recommending it to my friends and colleagues. Thank you Capt. James, Maddie, and Aristocat for a truly beautiful day.

AMAZING TIME!! James and Maddie were both wonderful! We enjoyed everything about the trip. The catamaran was incredible...such a nice treat for the day. We loved it so much, we booked another day with James on a private charter boat for 6 hours the next day to take us to the snorkel the caves at Norman Island (INCREDIBLE) and snorkel with the turtles there, too. We also had him take us to the Baths on Virgin Gorda. Everything was amazing.

An excellent day trip from Tortola to Jost van Dyke. Skipper James and first mate/stew Maddie made the whole trip very fun and had many interesting stories of the locations we visited. Particularly cool was that some of the kids in the group were given a chance to take a turn at the helm and James showed his chops as an RYA Yachtmaster instructor so that they could be successful.

This was our 5th and 6th trip with Aristocat. We visited both Jost and Norman Island for two amazing separate days! Tiegen and Maddy (and another wonderful lady whose name I forget, I’m sorry) were incredible hosts aboard the vessel with great music, an excellent array of drinks and delicious lunch which was so welcome after snorkeling and travel. They were always offering refreshments and checking up to make sure things were satisfactory. I felt the snorkel time on Norman was ample and time on Jost at Soggy Dollar was too! We even got to go to Foxy’s which was a real treat! 10/10 can’t recommend these ventures enough! I loved the opportunity to paddle board as well. We saw turtles on the Norman trip and amazing species of fish: barracuda, parrot, cow and squirrel fish to name a few. The crew worked really hard to secure a great time for all! The vessels feel very secure and head was neat and tidy. Even though we’ve repeated some of these tours, every time is unique and shows more of these beautiful islands. It might seem a bit of an expense, but couldn’t be more worth it to enjoy the beauty of the BVIs!

We had an absolutely wonderful time on our half day sailing trip. The captain, James, and his first mate, Maddie, were top notch! After a smooth sail, our first stop was at the Soggy Bottom bar. We had plenty of time to swim, get drinks, and shop before heading back to the boat. Don’t worry about the swim from the boat to the shore. They have vests, floats, and pool noodles if needed. They also have paddle boards! Maddie prepared a delicious lunch and there was plenty. She made sure we always had plenty to drink so we were well hydrated. The second stop was a small island, Sandy Cay National Park, for a swim and walk on the beach. It was the best day! Everything was perfect. You can stop reading the reviews now. Go ahead and book with them. You will NOT regret it.

Our recent sailboat charter to Jost Van Dyke was hands down the highlight of our trip! We had a beautiful day on the water with the winds cooperating perfectly. The boat had a great, intimate vibe—besides ourselves, there was a honeymooning couple and a lovely family with two kids, making for a wonderful group dynamic. The Crew **James and Mattie** were absolutely fantastic and truly made the experience. They were incredibly accommodating from start to finish, constantly checking in to ensure everyone was comfortable, hydrated, and had everything they needed. Mattie also prepared a fantastic lunch that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. The Itinerary We made two perfect stops during the charter: * **White Bay (Jost Van Dyke):** Our first stop was the main beach, home to the famous **Soggy Dollar Bar** and **Hendo’s Hideout**. (Pro tip: Be sure to check out the **Hiho** brand t-shirts while you're there—simply the best quality!). * **Sandy Cay:** After lunch, we weighed anchor and headed to this stunning, private little island for a short, peaceful swim before making our way back to the West End harbor. Between the top-tier hospitality from James and Mattie and the breathtaking scenery, we couldn't have asked for a better day on the water. **Would highly recommend this charter to anyone!**

The sail with Aristocat was an excellent experience from start to finish. We were met by Tiguan at exactly 9.30 and welcomed aboard by James who was also our chef. Tiguan was our skipper for the day. Lunch aboard was excellent and interaction with our lovely crew was superb. I cannot recommend Aristocat more highly.

Fantastic adventure on BVI! We booked this tour while in BVI for a Disney cruise. We had so much fun sailing on the well maintained catamaran. Our captain and first mate were super fun. Had great music and food at the soggy dollar bar. Highly recommend this company and tour.

Great sail to Jost Van Dyke. Crew went out their way to make sure the trip was memorable. Good food lots of drinks. Our crowd was very subdued though and the crew tried to liven them up with great music. Just not any fault of the crew. You should know the cab ride is fairly long. Yes we would do it again.

This was the highlight of our cruise. This was our 1st excursion we did and it exceeded expectations. The beaches and water looked like a screen saver. The captain and his crew were really friendly and did a great job of entertaining everyone on the boat. I would recommend if you have a chance to see Tortola, to do this excursion.

A great day sailing, swimming and beach hopping! Lunch was delicious… and there were plenty of drinks! The boat had plenty of room to find shade or sit in the sun! Our host and captain went out of their way to ensure everyone had the best day!

Had a wonderful day on the Aristocat. A shuttle picked us up from the cruise port in Tortola and took us to where the boat was docked about 15-20 minutes away. Sailed to a sandy spit to walk on the island and then to Jost Van Dyke. Wish the catamaran pulled in closer to the shore like other boats did in Jost Van Dyke as it was a swim to the shore and then back to the boat a few hours later. Glad the boat provided dry bags for our belongings and purchases on shore because there were needed. Lunch was offered on the boat but it was not good (ham & cheese sandwiches and chicken hot dogs). Eat on Jost Van Dyke. Lots of the drinks on the boat though. Thank you Captain Francesco and Lety (pronounced Lady).

Amazing day with Captain Flo and First Mate Lady! They made sure we were comfortable and relaxed the whole day. Visited Sandy Cay and White Bay and had a lovely day sailing, swimming, and walking the beautiful beaches. Only 8 aboard so it was an intimate trip and we could have asked for anything more! Highly recommend!

Francesco and Maddie were awesome as they created a great day for us to visit Sandy Cay and Jost Van Dyke. The day is very relaxing, starting with a one hour sail to Sandy Cay. Once there, they allow some time for swimming and snorkeling to the Cay. From there, you’ll head over to Jost Van Dyke where the crew will prepare a fresh lunch for you. After eating, you can swim over to the Soggy Dollar beach bar. You spend a few hours at JVD and then head back with an afternoon sail back to the marina. An open bar with a big selection of beer, seltzers and rum drinks is provided for the duration of the tour. We came from the cruise ship and this was a great day to get away from the crowds. There were probably 25 people or so on our catamaran. There was plenty of space to be comfortable. I definitely recommend this tour.

This tour is an ABSOLUTE MUST! Tortola is stunning and this is a great way to see the island! Captain and crew were incredible!

This was our second voyage of the week with Flo and Lady. The hospitality was great, a very personable pair. Tasty food and interesting information on the way. Stops were nice (Sandy Bay and Soggy Dollar) if you are looking for a chill way to spend a few hours on the water and the sand.

Amazing day sailing the British VI. Francesco and Madison took great care of us and made it a fantastic experience. From swimming to a deserted island to having the famous Painkiller at Soggy Dollar, I couldn’t have asked for more! Highly recommend!!

Amazing Catamaran Cruise to Jost Van Dyke and other Beautiful areas. Water was gorgeous and warm. Crew were very friendly and Drinks were flowing All day. Lunch was a little underwhelming but other than that, it was a perfect Day meeting new Cruise mates. Highly recommend this Tour.

This was awesome! They had to cancel our original itinerary due to strong winds on that side of the Island, however they took us to other Islands that were just as beautiful. The crew on the catamaran were great and entertaining. I would definitely book this again.

We sailed with Maddie and Francesco today to Jost Van Dyke on a sailing catamaran trip via Aristocat. Super personable people.! They were in sinc with each other and the passengers! Showing and telling us how sailing is done, wind directions, the sails and how they worked. If you wanted, you could help joist a jib! They rotated around the boat striking up conversation and made it so enjoyable! Would sail with them again and again!

Eight of us with kids and the crew was fantastic. Francesco and Maddie (sp?) treated us to an amazing day and took great care of all our needs. Food, drinks, hospitality, what a great day sail!

This was a WONDERFUL trip! Francesco and Madi were genuinely friendly, fun, informative and provided a terrific time. Lunch was delish, drinks were great. It was unfortunate we had to swim to shore at Jost VanDyke (strong winds and crowded anchor space) but we did it. The waves and wind made it quite the challenge to get back to the catamaran but we figured it out. This excursion is best for adults. Our time at each place was plenty. Kudos to this crew - we loved it!!

Although windy weather kept us from JVD, we went to Norman Island and points in between. Francesco and Maddie were awesome guides, extremely personable, engaging and fun to be with. we were a bit concerned when the cruise boat group arrived, but once on board 28 Pax , Captain James and Chief Mate ++! made us feel welcome, we had a wonderful Time! weather was awesome and we a couple hours of sail time between stops (2) Maddie fed us lunch, and ample stock of beverages ensured the passengers loosened up and made friends!! would we go again…Absolutely! bob n dee m

My wife and I took this daysail trip as part of our 8 day visit to Tortola. It was a nice day of sailing with some fun stops. The crew was great and we had a good group of people on this trip. The drinks were very good and the lunch I would rate as just average. We've done other daysails where the lunch spread was more extensive, for example BBQ hamburgers and chicken for sandwiches. Besides that, we had a fun day on the water and would use this company again the next time we are in the BVI.
