Booking: RO7224-5 CAR Our 10-day vacation aboard a Moorings 403 PC power catamaran was seriously compromised by maintenance and water-system failures from day one. During the initial inspection, we found visible water damage on the floor—clear evidence of a significant unresolved water problem. The water maker was not functioning, and for approximately 10 days we had to use public bathrooms and showers on the islands because we could not rely on the boat’s facilities. The problems continued throughout the trip. Whenever we filled the water tanks, water flowed through one of the bedrooms, leaving water everywhere. We also had to use seawater in the bathroom, which created a strong rotten-egg smell. Cooking and washing dishes became a mission. Even when Moorings knew about the water issues. They allowed us to depart and when complained they asked us to keep the receipts for reimbursement!!! We were reimbursed only $70, the total cost of water purchased at various docks. That was the only refund or compensation we received for the extensive hassle, disruption, and loss of use. While reimbursement for that direct expense was appropriate, $70 does not come close to addressing the damage to our vacation. The boat had additional maintenance problems. The refrigerator had only one shelf, forcing us to pile food on top of each other and carefully open the door to prevent items from falling out. There were also broken pieces and visible signs of wear throughout the catamaran. For a premium charter, we expected a properly maintained vessel with functioning essential systems. Instead, we spent much of the trip dealing with water damage, leaking tanks, unpleasant odors, public bathrooms and showers, purchased water, and inadequate storage. The beautiful destinations and views are the only reason I am giving 2 stars. The islands were incredible, but the condition and reliability of the catamaran significantly diminished what should have been a relaxing vacation. Moorings should review this vessel’s maintenance history and inspection procedures. The visible water damage on day one and the water entering the bedroom whenever the tanks were filled should have been addressed before guests were allowed to depart. Customers paying for a premium charter should not have to spend their vacation finding public showers and bathrooms, cleaning up water inside the boat, purchasing replacement water, or worrying about food falling out of the refrigerator. A $70 reimbursement does not reflect the overall inconvenience, disruption, loss of use, and diminished vacation experience caused by these problems

We called a couple of taxis as hurricane Erin was passing by but was told no one was getting out. They didn’t let a little rain scare them and he sent us over a ride to get a few groceries. And didn’t try to upcharge for the weather. Friendly driver and quick service. We will save his info for next time we visit

What a racket! They charge more than 2x the stated price for an airport pickup. They demand payment in advance and then aren't waiting or looking for you when you get in. You are much better off getting a taxi from the airport taxi stand, unless you hate money and like crooks. I just wish I could give 0 stars. Like most companies down here, they charge by the person. I've been here 10 times and this is the worst experience I've ever had. Companies that want to screw tourists over give the BVI a bad name.

Swervin Dervin was awesome!! We used him for airport transportation and private transportation on the island. He knew all the great bars and beaches! He made every ride super fun!

Spent 2 days on Tortola before a catamaran trip - needed safe, reliable, and fun transportation. Have to say that Stoutt’s and Dervin far exceeded my/our expectations. On time, super fun, it’s the only company we will use coming back to the BVI’s. Dervin is the Man!

The most fabulous way to see Croatia island hopping from Split to Dubrovnik on My Wish . The ship is modern spacious and very clean . The crewe were great . Our cruise director Martina from Croatia is always on hand and was fantastic at organising everything from guided tours ,transfers and updating everyone all the time as to what the days ahead had in store. We visited various islands which were all beautiful. We had guided walking tours on each island and also a visit to a winery and oyster farm. The highlight for me was visiting Mljet National Park. I can’t recommend this trip enough and Unforgettable Travel Company are superb !

Stoutt's Taxi and Tour Services was always on time. Dervin's tour was fantastic. He recommended Paradise Restaurant in Cane Bay Garden and the food was excellent.

Captain Andy and Chef Linzi were absolutely the best. Each morning Andy would tell us where we were going and facts about lighthouses, sailing, etc. He and Linzi work so good together, especially when it was time to moor. The food was impeccably delicious. Each meal was like a 5 star restaurant that was prepared in a small galley kitchen. And Linzi's nibbles and Andy's special cocktails were always a nice treat. Andy was an awesome captain and we all enjoyed the time he would let her sail. It was a trip of a lifetime and each island we ventured to was beautiful. If you have a chance to experience the BVI, Andy and Linzi are the team you want!

Dervin was the consummate host and tour guide and made our family feel warmly welcomed. We learned so much about the history of BVI, saw the most beautiful spots, and enjoyed a stellar beach visit with lunch. Dervin knows all the best places and the lovliest people and will cater your day to whatever you’d like to do! This tour was truly worth it. We will definitely reach out to him again the next time we visit BVI!

Thr best tour company hands down, Dervin takes his time to explain history and show us great views of the island without rushing us or making us feel pressured he even gave us 1.5hrs of time complimentary (who does that). Although driving on the island is tough Dervin makes it look easy & he is a very safe ddiver. In a nutshell choose Stoutt's for Island Tours on Tortola you wont regret it......

WOW! WOW! WOW! Dervin was just AWESOME from the time he picked us up to drop off. He showed us all around the island. He knew all the spots to go that weren’t crowded with tourists either. We were on a cruise so we’re just in town for day and it was an AWESOME day! No one else we talked to when we got back on ship got to see and experience as much as we did! I kinda kept going back and forth because of price but would TOTALLY DO AGAIN! NO regrets! He will work with you on what you want to do and do his best to cater to you, your desires and making you happy. He was so knowledgeable and LOVES the island of Tortola.

We were on a day trip to Tortola from Virgin Gorda and took a trip around the island and to the Rum Distillery as well as a trip to the Breach. Dervin was our guy, he took us to a great beach and restaurant for lunch and then up to the top is the island to Stoutt's Lookout for a great sunset. I would highly recommend he and his tours.

Dervin is the absolute best! He took very good care of my family and me! He provided great transportation for us and got us the best spot on one of the beaches. Fantastic from pick up to drop off! You get met right at the dock. Dervin could not be more fun to ride around the island with. You’ll probably forget that you just met in fact; feels like he’s your old friend from the VIs. Start off with a great driving tour all over the island with plants of great photo stops. You get a tour from one end of the island to the other. Beach stops, snack stops, and then a beachside lunch. Tour ends with a quick stop at the only rum distillery on this island, which delightfully shares its space with goats and chickens. Then you end the tour with the best view on the island, and the opportunity to talk with some of the locals and have cocktail while overlooking the Caribbean. You’ll feel like you are saying goodbye to a friend when he drops you back off at the dock.

If you want to see this island of Tortola, book this tour. Dervin was positive and upbeat all day and showed us all the beautiful spots to the island. He explained the history of many locations and made us have an unforgettable experience. We got to go to an awesome lunch location, got some rum, and ended the tour with some delicious drinks with an AMAZING view. Not to mention we had complimentary wifi, and he gears the tour to anything you would like to do and see.

This was a great tour. Our driver, Mejo/transformer truck, started us off with a great attitude and party-like environment. Mejo played a variety of music during the tour for all nationalities in the truck. He made it entertaining. FYI, they drive on otherside of road, unlike in America. We were kinda scared at first. Also, the hills are a new experience, just look out at the scenery...you'll be okay. Wished we could've had more time at the beach. Bring your snorkle gear. The water is beautiful!

My wife and I used Dervin for a day trip to Peter Island and Norman Island and of course lunch at Willy T's. Fantastic trip starting with Dervin picking us up at our Villa in Little Apple Bay and getting us to the boat in .Road Town. Dervin is a super polite and great guy who will do anything for you, once you meet him you'll never forget him. We needed a rapid covid test before leaving Tortola and didn't know where to go but Dervin sent his Dr right to our Villa!! We will be back and plan to use him for our next adventures.

We used Stoutt’s Taxi and Tour Services throughout our trip to Tortola. We booked with Dervin last minute due to some scheduling conflicts and he was more than happy to accommodate us. We first met Dervin for our taxi pickup from the Beef Island airport to take us to our hotel in the west end. His van was comfortable, had good wifi, and he ensured the music was to our taste for the long ride. Due to us arriving late at night, he called ahead to our hotel and set up a dinner reservation for when we arrived. On the second day of our trip, he took us on a half-day tour of the island. He had asked us what we were interested in to help shape the tour. We were picked up at 8am and started our tour. While we were going around the island, he gave us a lot of information about the general history of the island as well as family history and places that meant a lot to him. We made frequent stops for pictures and great views from the island. Our final, and best stop, was to Stoutt’s Lookout. This bar is owned by an uncle of his. While that can seem a bit nepotistic, it was a truly great experience. I’ll leave a review for the bar separately, but the stop was well worth it and we’ll be going back on future trips. Additionally, we used him to drop us off at the airport. He picked us up early so we could take a tour of Callwood Rum Distillery because they were closed on the day of our island tour. On the way, we realized that we were not in the mood for a rum tour/tasting and instead returned to Stoutt’s Lookout for one last drink and view of Cane Garden Bay. He kept track of time for us and made sure we made our boat in time. Overall, Dervin made our trip to Tortola worth every minute. His service is a big part of why we will be returning to the island in the future. At no point during our trip did we feel like were being sold anything or pressured into anything that we didn’t want to do. Dervin clearly has a passion to make every experience with him personalized and memorable. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. As he says, once you enter his van, it becomes your van and he will make every effort to make your experience perfect.

Dervin was awesome! Very friendly and helpful. 5 of us and all our gear for scuba and 7 days for a bare boat charter. He helped us find the best choices for provisioning...waited while we shopped...helped us load the van...then helped us to the ferry to Scrub Island. We called him on our return...with 8 and all our bags to the airport...THANK YOU Dervin!!!

Dervin was a great driver. He was early to collect and drives safely along the roads. Unlike a lot of the BVI taxis’s Dervin had wifi Which was great. I was also able to pay by card. Amazing service would highly recommend 👍🏽

I cannot recommend Stoutt’s taxi enough!! My friend and I visited Tortola in Aug 2021, and used Dervin to take us to our diving trips in Nanny Cay, to dinners all around the island, to Sage National Park (that’s us with Dervin Stoutt in the picture at Sage Mtn), and for a tour of the island. He was punctual, professional and always great conversation. His van is not only very comfortable but also had complimentary WiFi! Dervin goes above and beyond for his customers, which is really what separates him from the rest. On our third to last day on the island, Dervin noticed we hadn’t talked much about getting our exit COVID tests before departing the island, so he reminded us about this. Fortunately he did, since we hadn’t known this was required. Additionally, he was able to recommend a doctor who travelled to us to give us the tests - what could be better than that?! When I come back to Tortola, I will definitely be calling Stoutt’s Taxi & Tours again :)
