Dorma Layos Golf

Booked for one night as pit stop , the booked room was in the basement and not clean . Found a cup by the coffee machine with sour/spoiled milk. Window was not able to open and the room smelled like pipe . Complained and got a new room the only improvement was that the window openend , no excuses nothing . I paid for this night and that is a shame , Gordon will close this hotel immediately. Good location thats true but pictures are way to good building is old and not well maintained .

If you want to visit Puy du Fou España, this is the best hotel for you. We had a great stay at Dorma Layos Golf Hotel. Kudos to all the staff for being so friendly and approachable. We saw the passion they put into their work. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. Upon arrival, we noticed a drink station at the reception area, which we truly appreciate given the hot weather. They also have two free charging spots for electric cars in front of the hotel, you just need to borrow a card from reception to activate them. Parking is Free which is great ☺️👍🏻 As for our room, we were placed near the pool (Room 015), which was awesome since my son loves to swim. The room was really spacious (too bad I lost all the photos I've taken of the room ☹️) We are a family of three, and the beds were big and comfortable—our son could even sleep in ours! I believe ours was a king-size bed and his was a double, yet there was still plenty of room to move around. The bathroom was also great and fully stocked with all the necessary toiletries. Additionally, there was a working safe, international tv channels, a minibar, a working fridge, three complimentary bottles of water, plus a cold bottle inside the fridge, which was a wonderful touch. 👏🏻🤗 What impressed us even more was the breakfast buffet, which featured three separate food spreads: Cold station: A variety of salads, fruits, cold cuts, and more. Hot station: A great selection, with a special shout-out for the churros, which my son loved‼️ Sweets station: Full of cakes and pastries. There were also two drink stations for hot and cold beverages, and a toaster that heated bread fast! What was even better is that they consistently restocked the buffet, so there's no need to worry if you wake up late 😅👍🏻 I think the only downside is that they don't have a fully operating kitchen in the evening, so there are not a lot of choices at the bar/mini-restaurant. There was also only one person attending to the guests, and this same lady was working the breakfast shift the next day... WOW! 😱👍🏻 Well, there are some restaurants around that you can try so no need to worry. We tried one night eating dinner at the hotel while the rest we ate outside since we have been moving around anyway.

We booked for a golf weekend and asked for a nice room, the room we were given was dirty, broken floor tiles manky grout. So complained and asked for a better room, was taken to a room 4 doors down the same . Eventually got a better room with private balcony but have to say the hotel feels very run down, lack of staff, ability to get a drink (vending machines that charge €10 for a packet of crisps and mini bottle of wine!). Its like its been deserted and re opened but half hearted. The approach isn't very appealing as the hotel next door is closed and derelict. We booked a round of golf also, pro shop nothing on the shelves, bar was more like a social bar for everyone there not playing golf, just a very odd feel to the whole thing. The course was however nice and had a good round of golf. Such a shame as this could be made really noce with some effort and injection of cash. Location was perfect for a night out in Toledo. The breakfast buffet was however very good. We didn't eat in the restaurant so cant comment, it looked really uninviting though. The hotel was very quiet.

Normally, rooms are fine — nothing special. The place is clean and the staff is good. But the dinner for our group? Very weak. Good soup and salad, but the main course? 99.99% rice with 0.01% seafood. This is not what you expect from a 4-star hotel. Some people were hungry after that meal. Dinner 4/10 But breakfast 10/10
