Very short tour as was late meeting due to mixed information then went to a garden after about an hour. Not as I expected but nice

Absolute highlight of the trip! Hitomi did a great job helping us navigate and learn about the history of the market without getting overwhelmed by the options. She was also able to give us great advice and tips on immersing ourselves in Japanese culture. We got to try so many delicious and different foods. We would 10/10 recommend taking this tour.

This tour was a highlight of our time in Tokyo. Hitomi was warm, funny, and clearly knows Tsukiji inside and out. She walked us through the market’s history and its transition from the old inner wholesale market, then took us behind the scenes in a way we never would have managed on our own, from the tiny family-run stalls to the vendors who have been perfecting their craft for generations. The 10 seafood tastings were the star of the show. Every bite was fresh, and Hitomi explained what we were eating, how to eat it, and why it mattered. We tried things we might never have ordered ourselves and came away with a real appreciation for Japanese seafood culture. She also steered us to the best stalls and helped us navigate the crowds and etiquette, so we felt comfortable the whole time. The pace was relaxed, the group size was manageable, and Hitomi was generous with tips for the rest of our Tokyo itinerary. We left full, happy, and a lot more knowledgeable. Tips: Come hungry, wear comfortable closed-toe shoes, and bring cash for any extra snacks or souvenirs. Book this tour early in your trip, because you’ll want to use Hitomi’s recommendations for the rest of your stay.

He had great recommendations on where to go and what to do and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We got the best foodie experience we could ask for. We really enjoyed this experience during our first day in Tokyo. We learned a lot about what happens to the tuna from the time it was caught to the time we at it. We got to sample and compare tuna with 3 different fat contents. Sushi was very good. Our guide also helped us sample sake, fruits, egg roll, sweets in the market. Lastly we learned about shrines and temples. Our guide, Candy, was terrific.

Once I met up with the guide, we didn't waste any time. Straight to the market, got some food and drinks, and had a great time. I highly recommend this guide in particular. Sure you can go on your own and try stuff, but this was much more fun.

Fun experience. guide was friendly, knowledgeable and had a folder with supporting maps and videos to explain the history of the area during the tour. The tour also included a budget for food. Besides a single pre-planned location, I chose which stalls to stop at and what to order, and the guide waited patiently in some of the longer lines on my behalf. A fun experience overall and worth the cost!

This was our second tour with Magical Trip and our guide, Massachusetts, was exceptional. We had a nice overview of the Fish Market before diving into sushi. We met the sushi chef who explained how he prepares the fish daily as well as his knives. All very impressive. Massachusetts also took great care to make sure we were tasting exceptional fish. Our group was surprised we all loved the Horse Mackerel since none of cared for the 'bait' mackerel. We learned a lot and enjoyed the sweets at the end. The Magical Trips are fun and informative. We will definitely use them again when we return.

It was a phenomenal experience to learn all about the different tuna and cuts / grades. We got to see it prepared and sample maguro (blue fin and big eye) - akami, chutoro, and otoro. We also tried uni, several different kinds; green teas; Hokkaido hotate; and so many different kinds of snacks. Our guide was great, so friendly and helpful. He knew all the ins and outs so was able to move us through the market very well.
