Hire Rio as your guide. Very professional, personable, and knowledgeable. He very flexible as to where you go
A great introduction to Shibuya. Booked the night before . Not too much walking. Local , Misako, guide who knew her stuff.
My experience of this tour was amazing my guide Roko was very informative, knowledgeable and knew the local highlights of Shibuya and the story of its local hero Hachi the dog and his lovely statue!
Great tour by Sakura. She took us to several spots in Shibuya- including a high building where we could overlook the crossing. She told us all about the little dog who waited for his master including showing pictures of what the area looked like at that time and where the dog waited. She told us about the new train station being built and showed us many great places to eat and shop . After this tour we were completely oriented and were able to go back to several places where we had dropped pins. Really glad we did this- she also got us oriented for what to see in Shinjinku.
Highly recommended. Our guide, Fumina, was wonderful with many insights into the rich Japanese culture and great tips on where to eat and shop. The tour wound around and in the many differnt buildins and streets in central Shibuya, many off the general walkways to different places of interest. Great fun.
Our guide tried her best to accomodate the travellers, there was my husband and I and we waited 15 minutes for the next traveller who's was on his own and when he eventually arrived, he monopolised the guide and started asking and discussing personal questions to our guide which was totally irrelevant to our tour, I feel the guide "Sakura" was just being polite and replying to his questions, but it was a waste of time and resources. Maybe in future the guides have to be trained that they should not be detracted by inconsiderate people who was obviously trying to chat her up, considering there were only 3 of us in the tour , it was blatantly obvious and it's not the guides fault. She wasn't initiating the constant irrelevant conversation, but they need to be trained in situations like these where other travellers were made to feel uncomfortable, we weren't there for a hook up.
Too short and not providing enough information about the area. Going up to a high rise buiding and looking down is not very informative.
Hiroko was an amazing tour guide showing us many of the highlights in Shibuya, providing the history, key places to stop and see and a few of her favorite spots (and some hidden gems)! She was very friendly and personable and gave us a great tour. I would highly recommend it to anyone new to Shibuya. Thanks again Hiroko!
This was the best choice for our first day in Tokyo. Our guide Sakura was amazing! She is very knowledgeable and super helpful, had a great English level and took us to nice, less crowded hidden spots to get the best view for pictures. She gave us great recommendations for things to do in Tokyo the rest of the time too, 100% recommended!
The tour gives the quick highlights of Shibuya. If it is your first time in Shibuya, you will get familiar with the area after the tour. The guide, Shiho, gave me useful tips and recommendations for good restaurants, cafes and other tourist attractions. She was quite friendly and spoke English very well. It is definitely worth the price.
A circuitous tour of the Shibuya Scramble area where the guide leads you on a route thru building passage ways and provides viewing and eatery pointers for this area. A good starter to learn about this area but prepare for massive crowds and a quick pace.
Fumina our guide was really friendly and knowledgeable. She took us around the shibuya streets and also gave us recommendations on great nearby restaurants. Highly recommend it
We went walked all over and learned about the area. Our guide, Mayuka, was very nice. Part of tour, we went up to an observatory of a nearby building to get a bird's eye view of Shibuya Crossing. In addition, we got a lot of ideas for further shopping and eating.
Great short tour that showed us things we never would have found on our own. Delightful guide with excellent English.
Very knowledgeable and great communication skills! Time managed very good.Fun tour and lots of tips! Recommend it fully!
Go on this tour just for the restaurant tips! Learned so much about this fascinating neighborhood. Great energy with guide!
Walking tour Shibuya today with Fumino was excellent. Fun , informative and great recommendations :) Highly recommended
It was a great time! I ended up being the only one registered for that specific time but the tour wasn’t cancelled, we had entertaining conversations too, thanks for showing me around
We learned so much from this tour! It was so great to experience Shibuya from the eyes of a local. We were able to learn things we never would have learned otherwise. We will definitely recommend this tour to our friends. Thank you!
Our guide, Hayato, was excellent and the tour was a very fun experience. This was our first time visiting Japan and we chose this tour to learn more about the area where our hotel is. Hayato provided us with historical background about the sites and area and walked us through different parts of the neighborhood where we could find restaurants and shops as well as parks and cafes. We would highly recommend this tour to others and Hayato, specifically, as a guide.
Very informative. She showed and provided background on ‘secret’ sites that I never would have found on my own.
Are you in Tokyo for the first time? Or maybe it's your 5th time, but you've never left the conference center? Spend 90 minutes scrambling around Shibuya and get a local's perspective on food, bars, nightlife, and culture. Tokyo is huge. It's challenging knowing where to start. This short tour is the perfect amuse-bouche, a tiny taste to whet your appetite. Following Myuka's recommendations, we had the courage to drop down into the most unique (and delicious) ramen places I've ever been. (pictured). For a nightcap, we climbed into a shoebox of a bar, where we yucked it up with expats over gin and tonics.
The Shibuya tour was simply amazing! Our tour guide Fumino was so nice, very passionate and dedicated to show us incredible places in Shibuya! While discovering us Shibuya, she shared lots of tips for Japanese food & drinks, shopping, walks and many other great plans around the neighborhood. Definitely a 100% must do experience!
My guide was Fumino and she was very kind and caring. She showed us around and tailored her recommendations to our specific interests. She was very nice to be around and she was very knowledgeable. This was a really nice tour and I would thoroughly recommend it. Thank you!
This was an engaging and insightful introduction of the Shibuya area. The team provided a great tour of the key areas and identified the best places to visit for food and entertainment. There were also many historic points highlighted that made the tour more interesting and streets worth visiting. The final destination on the tour was a nice surprise to see the famous Shibuya crossing! Would highly recommend to any visitors
Monday evening mum and I did the Shibuya walking tour and had a fantastic time. There was four of us altogether including the guide who was very friendly and professional. We weren’t rushed and found it highly worth while. It’s 90 minutes and a good price. Thank you for a wonderful tour
Fumino was my guide and even though I was the only person on the tour for that timeslot she was happy to do the tour. She pointed out facts about Shibuya, took me around the neighborhood to show me famous places and tour stops. Even pointed out some of her recommendations for places to eat, which I ended up going to at a later date. Can't be any more positive about my experience, I recommend the tour!
Our guide was Fumino. She was very polite and informative. We made a full circle starting at Hachiko then ending right back there. Got to walk into many buildings and shopping areas. If you want to get a good overview of the city this is worth the small fee. This city is crowded and can be overwhelming but Fumino made it easier to get around.
I have had the pleasure of visiting Tokyo for work a few days ago. While there I decided to go on to viator and book a tour. I had initially found this one, which had no reviews, and I was a little nervous about going on it. I can honestly say now it was the best $20 I have ever spent! Shogo managed to fit me into his schedule despite a last-minute booking. He showed me all around Shibuya and took me to the most important places. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and answered all my questions with ease. Shogo learned English in Canada, so he speaks perfect English. One thing Shogo knows well is FOOD! My work commonly takes me to all places of the world, and I'm constantly looking for the best restaurants. Shogo recommended the absolute best restaurants in Tokyo to visit! He really knows his stuff! If you like food and you must go on this tour solely for his recommendations! Shogo was even nice enough to communicate with me via instant messaging after the tour to recommend other places to visit in Tokyo as well as other restaurants I had to visit. He's such a nice young man I have invited him to stay with my wife and me in Colorado anytime he wants. If you're thinking about what tour to do, make sure it's this one! Shogo made my experience in Tokyo unforgettable! My trip would not have been a success without him. Thanks again Shogo for all your help. Stay in touch friend and come to Colorado to visit any time!
It is a unique occasion above this iconic Tokyo neighborhood. The attention of the guide was unbeatable from the first moment explaining, in good English, what we were going to see in those 90 minutes of the excursion. Nearly two hour tour ending on a magnificent rooftop with great views. Absolutely recommended, almost mandatory. The cost is almost anecdotal.
