Visited an Archery experience. Very nice and comforting atmosphere. Staff is very polite and passionate explaining all aspects of traditional archery. Although some can wish for more space (ceiling might be a bit higher) space is just enough to get acquainted with the traditions and train basic principles. Thanks a lot to Sensei. Special thanks to Agata who brought us there and and helped trough the process.
Really fun and easy to follow, thank you!
Would highly recommend. We had such an amazing experience.
In my honest opinion, you get what you pay for. I took a separate samurai class that cost twice as much, but it felt much more authentic. We used realistically weighted swords and received proper instruction on movement and sword handling. This experience, by comparison, felt more like children playing with plastic swords—which is perfectly fine if you’re just looking to have some fun. As for archery, there are only two lanes, so with a larger group, you spend a lot of time waiting for your turn. I stood around for quite a while before another participant kindly offered to let me go ahead, since I hadn’t had a turn yet and the session was almost over. In the end, I only got to shoot about five times during the 30-minute session. Overall, it’s a decent option if you’re looking for a casual activity to pass the time. However, if you want more in-depth instruction and hands-on practice, I’d recommend going somewhere else.
Very fun experience, we practiced kyudo and with the katanas, had lots of laughs and learnt a bit of history
What a fun experience! We had a great time learning about samuri code and then learning many different techniques for tate to practice on each other. The guide was great and they also helped take lots of videos and pictures for us. Highly recommend!!!
Lots of fun and a great way to work up a sweat before some beers.
Fantastic experience! Great time was had and the instructors were great!
Great fun, really enjoyed it. Slightly hard to find, but check the pictures on Google maps
PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE!!! You must go
The instructor was very funny and very welcoming!!! I would recommend this place for anyone!! Super cool
Extremely fun and insightful experience. Would highly recommend.
Harry is the best katana teacher in all lAsakusa
Wonderful time! Learned a lot about archery and Katana wielding. Ru and Harry are excellent teachers!
Awesome experience, Harry was an amazing teacher!
It was an amazing experience! Our guide Joe (Sensei) was amazing and so helpful towards teaching us both archery and how to use a katana! Would definitely recommend to anyone going to Japan!!
Zen and Harry were amazing and friendly teachers. Happy to answer any questions and filled the session with enthusiasm and energy which was infectious
Kind of expensive for just toy katanas. I wanted to cut things with live steel katana, but this was still fun. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly!! It was a little difficult to find the building.
I had an excellent experience with Ru who led the kyudo class, and also Jo who greeted us when we entered. They were patient and also gave great tips on how I could improve my stance. I loved the element of history that they took us through in the beginning which made the experience more meaningful. Next time, I'll do the kyudo and add the katana on :)) they also spoke great English!
Was a very nice experience, Ru was very energetic throughout our whole experience. Got to wear the nice samue hakama. Jo was also very welcoming.
Ru was amazing with her guidance! My siblings and I thoroughly enjoyed our time learning about kyudo. She was very clear with her instructions and there was very good visuals to learn about the art and history of kyudo. I honestly feel like this made me interested in learning more about kyudo! Will 100% recommend!! 🏹
Super, I loved the exprrience and the archery instructor
The teachers were so nice!! Ru and Harry were amazing!
It was amazing!!!! Definitely recommend this experience.
It was an amazing experience! We had so much fun!!
So much fun. I did the archery and samurai experience. Had a great teacher and we had lots of laughs while learning heaps. Plenty of time to experience it without a rush. Highly recommend.
Great fun lots of time for archery and samurai technique
Really nice and fun experience!
Fantastic experience. For the fee, you get 1 or 2 hours with a very good guide who will help you through each activity.
We did the archery and katana combo and it was really great. It’s mostly hands on using the bows and katanas. The staff helped take photos and videos allowing us to just enjoy the experience.
Done both japanese archery and katana class. Friendly staff and one of the best memory in Japan.
Very friendly instructors with very good english. Fun experience.
It was a really good family event, we booked it on a rainy afternoon. Henry was a nice, polite, knowledgble hőst. I really recommend it to everyone
I purchased both the Katana and Bow training along with their extensions. I had the pleasure of doing this all solo and the service was excellent! The people are great and it was very fun. Well worth the price, the archery is much more calming and very rewarding once you get it down.
I had an awesome time and would recommend for sure.
Amazing and fun training! I did both the archery and samurai training and loved it!! Definitely have to do this in Tokyo!!!
We had a great time! The Samurai experience was a lot of fun, even with small kids (9 & 11 years old). It was an excellent close to our Japan trip!
That was an amazing experience, I recommend !! It was a really good immersion. Warm welcome, good explanation, that was perfect !
I joined because I was interested in kyudo. It was really hard at first, but the instructor was very kind and patient, and I was able to shoot! It was a really fun experience.
We did the archery experience with Joi and it was amazing. We tried many different techniques, standing, sitting and even a challenge. The explanation was very clear and understandable, perfect. The all lasts for a bit over an hour which is the perfect amount of time
It was such an exciting experience! I learned about the history of the samurai and discovered that every movement has a specific meaning—it was a truly fascinating experience. The instructor was kind and patient, and really supported me throughout.
Sensei Joe was a blast to be around and a very good teacher at the way of Tate. If you are looking for a lesson in samurai and to feel like you are in training for an action movie, then this is the place to go! If you had any hesitations, please do not have them anymore after reading this post. He and the rest of staff are very accommodating and willing to keep at your pace.
wonderful activity. I played with my friend. happy and it's very nice. my friend also told me that is good activity. they are also satisfied.
I came with my friend from Canada. We all enjoyed the class so much!
Fun activity for anybody! Harry was positive and amazing, and the program was fun and educational. I recommend it highly even if you are not interested in archery so much.
My dad really wanted to try Japanese style archery, and this one was so much fun! Lots of good historical and cultural information, and demonstrations were simple and easy to understand. Our guide Harry was great, easy going and fun to talk to.
Great and in depth class! Very informative and fun. Definitely a fun activity to do that is different than your typical Tokyo guides. Great instruction and great sensei. Would recommend and would do this again. Thank you for a great time!
Very great ! Very informative and active and the immersion and invitation to participation was perfect ! The Sensei was very funny and fluent in english !
It was very fun and very satisfactory ! The Sensei was really nice, patient and eager to teach! The other staff lady was very nice and kind too while helping us put the outfit on! Would recommend!
