We had a lovely evening starting with a tour of the area and some history. All went to plan and our evening flew by, with food, drinks and entertainment. It was lovely to be able to meet and chat with a geisga, who was delightful, and experience song and dance.

A truly memorable experience Orin was a delight and we had Ken as our guide If you have the chance book this
A most wonderful and enlightening evening spent with Orin and helped by our guide Ken. We learnt to much about Japanese culture and living the Geisha life. Orin was so generous in sharing her Experience with us. It was certainly an evening we will never forget
Since I previously attended a tea ceremony with Maiko san, I wanted to see one more geisha before I left Japan. Through GetYourGuide, my dream came true!! I loved meeting Geisha san. With her, I had such a memorable night. I enjoyed watching her perform, learning her story, connecting with her, and learning how to dance just like her. Kensuke (Ken) was such a great guide, too! He taught me so much about the history of Tokyo’s geisha and its geisha district. He showed me areas I would have never known existed had it not been for him. Dining at the ryotei was truly special. I was so happy to meet everybody there and it was one of the best nights I could have ever asked for.
What an absolute honour to have dinner with a Geisha. She was so generous & open to telling us about her life, her training, her dedication to preserving Japanese customs. She was interested in hearing about us & our Australian lifestyle too. Thanks to Ken, our intrepid Tour Guide & Translator, who organise this for us … without him, this would not have been possible.
We were traveling in Japan with our two small children and had the unique opportunity to have a Geisha dinner. Wow! That was fun and unique. Ken showed us around the area and served as our interpreter during dinner. Dinner was at an exclusive members club with a delicious 4 course meal. The kids hated it (obviously) but we brought them ipads and headphones, so my husband and I could enjoy it. The dancing and music were beautiful. The games were fun. An unique and enjoyable expierence. Thank you Ken!
The show was very nice and in a pleasant atmosphere. The geisha was entertaining and enthusiastic about answering all our questions. The artistry of the dances was beautiful and gracious. As a plus a very skilled shamisen lady player joined also. The kaiseki dinner was delicious and of course everything was facilitated by the very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional guide Ken! Thank you! Attended with my wife.
I’ve always wanted to have dinner with a real Geisha … this was an amazing experience from start to finish . Ken met up with me beforehand and explained the etiquette and we spent 4 hours charting to the Geisha , listening to music, dance and eating a seven course meal . This is a must do !! Thank you Ken 😊
Very informative and fun experience! Would recommended 10/10! If you are looking for a place to experience true Japanese culture this is it!
The experience was amazing! We had an unforgettable time and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo. Ken was a great guide as well.
I had the pleasure of attending the private dinner with a geisha during my visit to Tokyo, and it was an experience like no other. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The geisha was not only beautiful but also incredibly skilled in the traditional arts, which made the evening even more special. The conversation, the tea ceremony, and the fascinating cultural insights provided by our guide made the experience truly unforgettable. The meal was exquisite, with delicious, authentic Japanese dishes presented beautifully. This is a must-do for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the traditional culture of Japan. Highly recommended!
Ken is one of the best guide tuour! he was very helpfull and because of him our days in Tokyo, haved more funn. The meeting with gheisha was also a big nice surprise, a grate cultural experience!
I have long had a interest in the arts and culture of Japan. And one of experiences I've most desired was to be entertained at a tea house by a geisha. During this trip I spent time in Kyoto, one of the major centers of geiko (geisha) culture. However, I wasn't able to book and experience while I was there. However, when I planned my trip to Tokyo I was easily able to secure Mr. Kensuke Ko to coordinate an evening to have a private dinner with a geisha. Within an hour Ken-san had sent me a detailed account of when we would meet, what we would do and what to expect from the evening. Ken-san and I met at 7:20 sharp for our 7:30 trip. He then began a brief tour of Kagurazaka, one of the six "Flower Towns" or Geisha Districts. He gave me an overview the history of the area from Edo period onward. Ken-san is quite conversational in English (and also speaks Mandarin) and is very friendly and enthusiastic about sharing Japanese culture with others. We easily got into a pleasant discussion pattern that extended throughout the trip. After the tour of the area, we eventually ended up at the ryōtei. A ryōtei is a traditional Japanese restaurant where geisha perform and entertain their clients. These restaurants are not normally open to the public and one can only gain access via a referral. As Ken-san had such a connection we were both able to enter and enjoy the restaurant. After we entered the restaurant, we were led to our private dining area. An server asked for our drink requests and soon began to bring our meal. What followed was an nine-course dinner of seasonal Japanese delicacies that explored a wide range of flavors and textures. I can say quite honestly that I enjoyed every single dish I tried, even the ones that were completely unfamiliar with me. Soon after our first couple of courses had been served our geisha, Orii-san entered the room and greeted us. Orri-san has over twenty years of experience working as a geisha and is truly a master of the arts of music, dance and conversation. While she wasn't fluent in English, she was certainly able to hold a conversation in English. And at any point she was not able to communicate her thought in English, Ken helped with translation. It was all very easy and comfortable. There was absolutely no awkwardness at all. So, if you are concerned because you do not speak Japanese (or are not fluent), please let me assure you this won't be a problem. After talking and eating for a while, we ordered a round of drinks. We all had a long discussion of Japanese culture as well as world culture in general. Both Ken-san and Orii-san are world travelers and shared their experiences of traveling abroad. After several courses, a shamisen player entered the room and played for us while Orii-san performed a traditional dance. While I had seen videos of traditional Japanese dance, nothing quite prepared me for the in-person experience. It was absolutely beautiful. The dance was followed by the shamisen player playing a traditional Japanese song about fishing. After this, Orii-san asked me to join her in a traditional Japanese folk dance. It only had five movements, but I did struggle a little bit. However, it was all in good fun and it was an enjoyable experience that left me with a smile on my face. Sadly, our evening being entertained by Orii-san eventually had to end. After exchanging pleasantries, Ken-san and I were were escorted out by Orii-san. Following this, Ken-san continued showing me the fascinating labyrinth of Kagurazaka, including some of the narrow alley ways geisha used to travel from their homes to various venues where they performed. All in all, the experience was amazing. And, extremely affordable, when compared with similar services. I would absolutely repeat this experience and I wholeheartedly recommend it. Ken-san was an excellent interpreter and I'm extremely grateful for his ability to coordinate such an enjoyable evening.
This was good. A real Geisha entertained us all evening with conversation, dancing, play and music. Food was ok, sushi amazing
Wonderful dinner with geisha and interpreter. Interesting conversation with information about the training and life of the geisha. Dance and play and make music together. Lots of laughs and compliments together. An abduction into Japanese culture - highly recommended❣️
