Great experience. Very patience and kind instructors.
We did this with our 8 year old daughter and it was so cute. We each had so much fun making our own box and then we got to eat them afterwards. Kenji was also a great instructor. I would highly recommend this for families!
it is very fun and challenging and super cute

Amazing experience, can’t wait for my wife to make these for me! I would recommend this for anyone coming to Tokyo.
Kenji was fabulous! So friendly and he made learning fun! So many little steps go into the cute part of building this bento and not only did he have a PowerPoint displaying the steps, but he also was right next to you to help or make suggestions. *And* the bento was delicious! Thanks, Kenji!
So cute, Jun was really helpful and lively even though it was just me. A good time was had!
This class was the cutest thing we’ve ever done!! So fun and so sweet. The food is delicious 🙏🙏
Excellent class. Well worth our time. So much fun and easy to follow. Making the cutest bentos and creating fun long lasting memories. Most definitely recommend this class when you’re in Tokyo.
It was such an amazing experience with my 7 year old daughter. The teachers were so friendly, made it fun and had excellent English. I would recommend to anyone
It was such a fun experience. I had a 4yr old with me and this became her favourite memory from Japan. The instructors were so patient and kind. The atmosphere was also very cozy with warm lighting that made the whole workshop so enjoyable. I made a panda, my friend made a dog and my niece made a penguin. Will definitely try again. Also , it is vegetarian friendly - big bonus point !! The total time was around 1.5hrs or 2hrs .. They didn't rush us. Along with us, was another family of 3 people
🩵Jun was incredible! my daughter and I had so much fun doing the bento box! It was such a lovely experience and we learned so much! Jun was very helpful and he was the highlight of our Japan trip! I would highly recommend you do this with your children! My 10-year-old daughter loved it!
Overall a great experience with the tour itself. Was happy about the entire turn out and definitely a memorable excursion. Highly recommended!
Such a great experience for all ages! We went with a child, teenagers and an adult and we all loved the experience. The chefs were so nice and even waited for us to start the class. We were 15 minutes late! I highly recommend Cute Bento when in Tokyo.
Amazing work and experience. Very kind and polite!! :D. We love the cute aprons we weared during the workshop, and everyone was passionate about making a cute bento lunch. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and no previous cooking experience is required which makes this ideal for everyone who wants to try making a cute bento lunch.
This was such a fun experience! Kenji is a great instructor and very friendly with all guests. We had a great time making bento boxes with him and his staff.
We had an amazing time making bento boxes. Everything was so well planned out and well done. So happy with our experience.
We had a great time learning how to make cute bento! Our instructor was patient and funny. Our bento looked cute and tasted great in the end! We made panda bento, but they gave us a choice of a cute frog or a cute dog. Make sure you check the messages from the vendor before the class so you can choose. I missed the message and we ended up with a random choice, but no regrets as the panda were really cute! The nearby Hie Shrine was also a nice visit afterwards.
This was an awesome experience! Great staff who went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and happy with the experience. This is great for adults looking to have a little fun or children. Strongly recommend!
Wonderful experience!!! The highlight our time in Tokyo!! Thank you!! 🩷 Highly recommend!
This was such a fun experience, especially as we had multi-generational travelers with us. We were a party of 6, and it was a private class which made it super amazing! Kenji was very accommodating as we needed to change our date/time and he suggested another location so we could fit it into our itinerary. Highly recommend!!!
I did this with my 3 kids- ages 8, 8, and 16, and they all loved it. They got to pick their animal and the instructions were very simple to follow. The staff was so kind and helped the kids make their food art. The kids are already talking about making these for their school lunch next year! This was such a fun couple of hours- 10/10 recommend!
We had a fantastic time making bento boxes! Kenji was an amazing host and super friendly. The bento boxes are too cute and they were a great activity for the family. Highly recommend.
We absolutely loved it! Food was great. So was service. Kenji was great and very helpful!
Kenji is a great teacher and was very patient with us! We made super cute panda bento boxes for the first time and they turned out great! I told kenji super last minute that I have dietary restrictions cause of religious purposes and he accommodated! Thank you so much!
Amazing fun experience to learn how to make a cutecharacter bento! I made a cute panda and it was tasty :)
Wonderful experience! I decided to gift my friend a bento-making class in Japan, and we couldn’t have been happier. The class wasn’t too crowded, which made it easy to interact and communicate with everyone. It started with a short presentation, and we really appreciated how they explained the cultural meaning of bento in Japan. Kenji and Sayaka were fantastic: friendly, engaging, and with excellent English. They created such a warm and cheerful atmosphere throughout the class. The ingredients were high quality, and every detail was thoughtfully prepared. At the end, they asked whether we preferred to eat our bento there or take it away: we chose takeaway, but both options are available. I highly recommend this experience for both adults and children. We left feeling happy, satisfied, and with a deeper appreciation of our trip to Japan.
The best workshop we participated in! Kenji was great teaching us how to make cute bentos! 10/10 experience!! So much fun
The Bento Box Tour was an outstanding experience and a highlight of our trip. It struck the perfect balance between being engaging, educational, and genuinely fun for the whole family. My 5- and 11-year-old were completely absorbed from start to finish, which is not always easy to achieve. The hands-on elements were especially well done, allowing the kids to actively participate rather than just observe. They loved learning how to assemble their own bento boxes and trying new foods in a relaxed, supportive environment. The guide was patient, knowledgeable, and clearly experienced with children, which made a significant difference. The pace was ideal, never rushed but always moving. It felt authentic without being overwhelming. This is an excellent choice for families looking for something interactive and culturally meaningful that keeps kids fully engaged. Highly recommended.
This was great! Kenji is very friendly and welcoming and everything is very easy to understand and you can see how organized Kenji is and passionate about what he does
We did this bento-making class as a family and it turned out to be such a fun and memorable experience. It started with a short presentation that gave us a good understanding of bento—simple, informative, and easy to follow even for the kids. The hands-on part was the best. The kids loved putting together their own bentos and choosing how to arrange everything. Kept them fully engaged the whole time. Even the adults enjoyed it more than expected. We all walked to a nearby park to eat what we made. It was a nice, relaxed way to end the experience. Overall, very well-organized, informative without being too heavy, and enjoyable for all ages.
We had a wonderful experience here’s the instructions were easy to follow and the people who ran the session were friendly and fun. The food was also quite delicious! Would highly recommend for a fun diversion during a trip.
My family had a wonderful time with Kenji creating kawaii bento boxes. It was a good family experience and Kenji was very patient and helpful with my kids 😊 would definitely recommend!
Soooo much fun!! It was great would do again!!!
We had a great time making our bento boxes! My 9 & 11 year old girls loved the experience (mom and dad did too) and were able to do everything on their own. Kenji very kind and patient with us. And then we got to eat our creation. The chicken was delicious!
My kids had a great time! My wife had a great time!! And I had the best time!!! We came hungry and ready for adventure. Keenji walked us through it and kept it fun! Book this today.
It was a great experience and a lot of fun. Very child friendly!
This was a really fun activity, it was a great way to get my kids (8 and 5 years old) involved. They learned about Japanese culture, got to get creative, and even tried new foods! I was surprised at how into it the kids got, and how they were willing to try new foods they are usually so picky! The event was well organized, everything was prepared and ready to go. They were very accommodating, even set up cool backdrops for us to take photos of our Bento. I would absolutely recommend this experience!
We went, my cousin and I. We are travelling form France. The instructors were super nice, friendly and fun ! The workshop was beautifully prepared, very accessible (we did the English version) and really fun. We learned a lot about the traditions of bento making, and were encouraged through the whole workshop to make a beautiful piece of art ! There is a photo stand where you can take photos of your work. We made 2 different characters, panda and bear, they were both super adorable ! The bento ingredients were very fresh and well prepared, and we chose to eat our bento at the workshop location after making it, rather than taking it home. They also have drinks available to buy during the workshop and for eating. It was delicious !! The atmosphere was really friendly and welcoming, and the instructors were very nice, helpful and encouraging. They also kindly gave many great recommendations of things to see, do, eat or shop in Tokyo. We look forward to trying them out ! Thank you so much to Kenji and Sei for making this experience so enjoyable and exciting ! We highly recommend it, for people of all ages who are passionate about Japanese food culture.
I took this class at the end of December and thoroughly enjoyed it. Kenji and his team were excellent instructors and made the process of bento making simple and fun. I recommend this class even for bento beginners!
Kenji and his team did such an amazing job teaching us how to put together super fun and cute bento lunches! He also taught us some about the history of bento, which was a cool and unexpected touch. Additionally, our family has some really annoying food allergies and his team went out of the way to be sure we had a safe and equally enjoyable experience (we are used to having to “miss out” on things). Their care and attention really made the experience special! It was a great break from touring and an enormous hit with the kids! Highly recommend!

Our family of five, with three teenage girls, really enjoyed making the character bento boxes. All of the employees were helpful, instructions were clear and it was fin as a family.
Really fun family activity. Educational as well. Kenji and Koto were very helpful and made the event easy to follow. I would thoroughly recommend this activity to families.
This was such an awesome experience, it was my favorite part of our trip, so informative and super fun. Plus everything was really thought out and we got so many pictures. Highly recommend
