The information was fun and tied current things we know about like Princess Peach in video games to the real one who was gifted a music hall. The trees and gardens, especially the samarui garden at the end, were lovely. A wonderful way to learn more about Feudal.Japan. Who would have guessed that someone from the Italian Alps would be such an expert on this palace and its history. She was wonderful and the grounds and gardens were equally so.

He has a knack for distilling and dot connecting history in a concise and readily understandable way. A terrific and thoughtful door opening way to begin our first visit to Japan.

This tour gives you a good view of the Imperial Palace grounds and the area surrounding the palace itself. The grounds and the gardens are beautiful. The history that is shared by the tour guide is interesting. Just be prepared for a lot of walking and wear appropriate shoes. The tour is also all outside, so dress appropriately. Our guide, Anya, spoke good English, was easy to understand, and had a good understanding of Japanese history.

Manny was such a great guide - personable, knowledgeable and really funny. I loved his story-telling style, and bonus points for talking about yōkai, pop culture and folklore as well as history. The tour was a good pace - fast enough to keep it engaging but slow enough that it didn't feel rushed or like we weren't getting the opportunity to look around and take photos.
