This is an extra ordinary experience - worth every penny spent- from the delicious traditional food and beverage offered, to the beautiful and enjoyable entertainment ( guitarist and singer Yuzi who sang and did audience participation ) to the tourist guide Christine who attended to all the needs of the participants, and all the staff and crew on the ship/ boat- thank you for the wonderful unforgettable time. We also enjoyed the lovely view at night of Tokyo from the upper deck.

Stay here for about 30 minutes for sightseeing.,The Tokyo Statue of Liberty, located in Odaiba, is a stunning replica of the original in New York. Lovely way to spend our first night i n Tokyo. Karen was a perfect host. This is a well organized excursion. Food was very delicious with enjoyable, talented, entertainment. Book with confidence
Excellent vibe, great views of Odaiba and the Sumida river, food was delicious and the music was superb. Heavily recommended
The best time to pick is before sunset. It allows you to see the boat in the day and night. Great for date night. The drink package has Jack Daniel’s in a can and a lemon sour option or saki that’s it. Overall nice experience.
Wonderful scenic harbor views, food, and music. I highly recommend this tour. It was my favorite tour in Tokyo.
You do need to remove shoes when coming onto the boat. No western seating. Great experience and music
Fantastic experience, our host yoyo was very hospitable and knowledgeable and the hotpot was very tasty. The singing and music added perfectly to the ambience
Karin and team were amazing! And not just that - the food, the vibe, the boat, the performance were top notch! This is an experience of a lifetime and shouldn’t be missed at all. From the beginning to the end, Karen kept explaining as the experience progressed, helping you stay immersed in the performances and the food in itself. Totally worth the while! I’ll def go again when I am back, and nobody should be missing this!
The sights from the boat were amazing. The shamisen player, Hibiki, was very entertaining. Karen, the host, was very welcoming and attentive with instructions and helping us with food and drink. Great experience! If you have the time, take the time to do this cruise
You will have a great meal with great entertainment and a friendly host. Karen was awesome as was Hibiki.
Was a great experience with great hosts and music. Karen was nice and accommodating. The only thing was it had tatami floor seating with a sunken area for legs to go. I am a big guy so it wasn’t the most comfortable but still well worth it. The boat before us had chair seating. It would be nice if you got to choose between the two
You not actually sitting on the floor. Very easy to get up & down. The food was tremendous & so fun to be cooking yourself!!
Overall very fun experience. Our boat ride was very comfortable and the views at night were breathtaking. Only recommendations were more seasoning in the meal + a bit more history on the buildings. But it was a lovely experience!
Experience Real Japanese customs over the Tokyo Bay with an excellent guide, traditional music instrument played by a accomplished musical artist accompanied by a beautiful cooked Wasabi beef , rice and vegatable meal cooked right on your table .
The food was disgusting the vegetables were so little and meat was fatty. It was horrible I would never recommend this cruise.
This was a charming way to end my vacation. The views were stunning, the food very good, the staff very friendly and the entertainment very unique. It fully met my expectations and recommend it to everyone.
Enjoyed the dinner cruise experience. The sukiyaki was good and the service delightful. Thank you Karen our hostess
This tour was a sneaky hit on our trip! We were a little concerned that this would be tourist-y, but we were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful meal. The real hit of the night was the stop at the midway point for us to go onto the roof of the boat to see the city lights. This made the entire excursion 100% worth it and it was a wonderful way to end our time in Tokyo. Yoyo was very night and accommodating and we loved our time with her, as well. We highly recommend this activity (make sure you opt for the meal!).
This is exceeded beyond our expectations. The food was amazing and the boat is so pretty designed and the view was spectacular and in the meantime, you can listen to local Japanese music. It was so peaceful and relaxing perfect.
The meal was lovely. The service was faultless. We enjoyed the entertainment & the water light show. I would recommend this to anyone who is able to sit on the floor.
Karen was incredible hostess. Incredibly knowledgeable and spoke English extremely fluently. Hibiki was an amazing shamisen player. Truly a great experience!
This was a very nice experience. Food was excellent, music was very good, guides informative and helpful when we had a little trouble finding the meeting place.
It was a great experience, the food was good, the music was interesting. There is only thing you should be prepared for, and that's to sit on the floor.
This was an awesome experience! Karen was friendly and a great guide, and Midori was fun and her music was amazing. I would recommend.
It was an amazing experience, everyone was very friendly, the food was delicious, the saka was great, the live music was awesome and we also had a lot of fun singing along. The view for the water fountain and the pictures was great, right after I went to visit the Tokyo Tower with the ticket included on my trip. Thanks to our English Tour Guide Karen she did an amazing job!
I didn’t realize we were gonna have to sit down on the floor and cook our own meal. I’m not really a fan of the food, but the trip itself was good. Tokyo was a very beautiful place and clean.
Great time, great show, great food, great crew ! Super moment on the Tokyo river, time flew. Trully a must
The hostesses, hosts, food, and entertainment were all fantastic. However the photos aren't exactly what you get. I see in the photos seated tables inside and on the rooftop. At my cruise there were no seated tables inside, rather cushions on the floor with tables sitting in a recess on the floor, so no back support (hard for someone like me with a bad back). There is an opportunity to go on the roof of the vessel but only halfway when it stops, so if you're hoping to see the city as you move this is not for you. There are windows but it's not what I expected. The hostesses spoke good English and were very accomodating.
Great traditional experience, well run.
The food and traditional entertainment were good and our teenagers enjoyed joining in with some of the Japanese songs and clapping dances. You get 20 minutes on deck outside to take photos which was nice but unfortunately the timing meant that we only saw the fountain show for the last two minutes of the time on deck which was a shame as we really wanted to see this. Things to note - you have to take your shoes off inside the boat but need them on the outside deck so wear something that’s easy to take on and off. Also, soft drinks are free but the alcohol ones you have to pay for - not a problem as they tell you this in advance but they will only accept cash so make sure you bring some. We also did the Tokyo Tower add on - enjoyed this very much but again make sure you read the full terms and conditions - you have to get yourself from the pier where the boat is to Tokyo Tower. It’s about 15 minutes by taxi or 5 stops on the metro. There were no taxis waiting where we got off the boat unfortunately so we walked the 12 minutes back to the metro and then about the same the other side. Still really enjoyed the evening though and would recommend.
Extremely fun and entertaining, beautiful sights and trip to be honest! I definitely want to go explore Odaiba after seeing it now.
Really fun experience. Staff were super friendly, great meal, amazing view, if your able to do this i recommend
Fun experience - cozy and traditional experience. The boat was comfortable & air conditioned, food was very good & crew and entertainer were excellent
Karen was a great host. Definitely recommend nomihodai. Entertainment was very good they were energetic and fun.
Pros: Delicious and plentiful food, gorgeous scenery, and beautiful shamisem performance. Hostess was very nice and service was fast. Cons: No chairs provided, so be prepared to sit on the floor. If you face the windows, you have no back support. If you have difficulty getting up and down from a chair, getting up off the floor while on a moving boat is almost impossible.
The guide, Shea, was knowledgeable and friendly and kept everything going. The shamisen player was great.
Awesome experience. Great hosts and the musician was a really nice touch. The water fountains in Tokyo bay was a great touch.
Make sure you know the location, we struggled with train station home. It was a great evening, food was delicious and the staff were great
Terrible communication and TOTAL LACK OF CARE by the tour guide LULU made it impossible for me to even get to experience this tour, scheduled to commence at 5pm on 13.7.2026. As my Uber driver was unable to locate the exact meeting point, I contacted LULU by calling her WhatsApp number 5 gimes, with no response. I also sent two voicemail messages and 10! SMS messages begging LULU to call my number so that she can clarify the exact meeting point location to the Uber driver. I started contacting LULU at 16.37pm (23 minutes prior to boat departure). If she would have responded and provided directions to the Uber driver, I would have arrived on time to board and enjoy the cruise. But- all my calls and messages were ignored. Furthermore, LULU have sent me an SMS saying 'Arriving soon?' in response. So - she DID SEE all my calls and messages, and she chose to ignore them. I also called Orange Tours on the number listed on their webpage. Guess what - NO ANSWER! As a result, I did not arrive on time and missed the cruise. EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND LACK OF CARE! However when I sent WhatsApp enquiry asking to transfer my cruise booking to the next day - the answer arrived IN 3 MINUTES, informing that no refund or reschedule the cruise is not pissible, as 'tour guide contacted you 4 hours before the cruise'. Yes I had WhatsApp message: Hi I am Lulu, your English speaking tour guide for today's cruise'. DO YOU THINK THIS CONTACT BY LULU FOUR HOURS BEFORE THE BOAT DEPARTURE HELP MY UBER DRIVER TO FIND THE MEETING POINT? I would like the option to give 'NO STAR' rating for this experience, but there is the only option for the LOWEST rating with one star. PLEASE REMOVE THE ONE STAR, AS THIS EXPERIENCE DIES NOT DESERVE ANY STARS AT ALL. I would not recommend this experience to my enimy!
Very cool, entertaining, and relaxing trip! Feels exclusive and low key. Even when traveling solo, the seating is conducive to meeting fellow travelers and making friends.
What an amazing experience. Ship is very traditional and the full experience is fantastic it is highly recommended
Karen and Midori did a great job of sharing the richness of their culture. It was a really great experince
Overall the experience was lovely! We even had a surprise fireworks show while on the observation deck that made it even better. My only “disappointment” was I ordered the boat ride and Tokyo tower, and while I got my tower tickets we didn’t stop there. They were for later use, this was not clearly defined in description, and I would not have purchased had I known, as I will not be back in area.
Shiela and the rest of the team were absolutely amazing. They continued to keep us updated throughout the day prior to the experience. They made sure we made it to the boat safely and the food was some of the best we have ever had. The meat was superb. Drinks are offered and a dessert at the end. The views, performers, and gifts were the cherry on top. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Fun experience! Food and music were great. Felt like it could have been more lively/may have been because we had a smaller group on board. Everyone was kind!
Our family had a great time on this dinner cruise! We would highly recommend it. The dinner was fun and delicious. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The views were fabulous. And the entertainment (while very loud) was a lot of fun.
The show & dinner was excellent. Enjoyed the experience of preparing your food prior to eating. Food was plentiful. Also the show was excellent with Traditional Japanese Folk singer. Staff was very accommodating and eager to please.
It was very authentic and our guide Christine did an amazing job. She was very knowledgeable and very nice!!!
It was a a beautiful, wholesome experience, loved the music, the food, and the scenery, highly recommend everyone
We had a great trip in the yakatabune. We very much enjoyed our food and entertainment. Karen and her whole crew were very nice and helpful. Thank you!
