What made this excursion special was not just visiting the beautiful places in Tokyo, but the personal attention and effort he put into making the experience memorable for our family. He was extremely knowledgeable about Tokyo, familiar with the local places and, more importantly, knew the local people. I believe this is what makes a real difference when exploring a new city. Having someone who understands the place beyond the usual tourist attractions adds so much value to the experience. He was also kind enough to take photographs of our family and even create a special video featuring us and our children, which he shared with us afterwards. Abdul was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable courteous and had great relationships with multiple vendors at the sites that we visited. The was very comfortable and he provided cold water. He adjusted the guide as we went based on our discussions on what my family was wanting to experience Tokyo. We had a very good excursion, but it was a bit long for one of our group. (They can always sit in the car for long walking locations!) Visited most of the major sights. Memorable locations: Skytree, Fish Market (it has other stuff too including knife stores) and we had a great lunch there, SHIBUYA Crossing (Scramble). Imperial Palace, and Electronic Street area (where we also looked at electronics and snagged accessories and snacks-love the Pink Kit-Kats). Easy to customize. IMPORTANT: You will buy Skytree sights tickets while in route. Lots of walking and some standing. You will have to walk inclines at SKYTREE.

Our tour with Abdul was our favorite day in Tokyo. Abdul was incredibly informative. We are thankful for everything we learned and experienced. Abdul was accommodating and supportive of the tired children on the trip. This tour was a great way to check off many “to do” elements of visiting Tokyo without exhausting ourselves further. If you are visiting Tokyo, you will be fortunate if this tour is available for your travel dates.

We booked with Abdul during our Japan trip in August of 2026. Abdul was fantastic! He was easy to communicate with, on-time and flexible, even after a timing snafu on my side. For the day of he adapted the itinerary to our families needs and we were able to make tweaks along the way. He shared some great history tidbits and also helped us take family photos. His car was also very comfortable making for an all around great experience.

My family (me, my wife and two boys (10 &14)) spent the day with Abdul during our recent trip to Tokyo. Collection and drop off were spot on - could not have been easier, and Abdul did a fabulous job of showing us round the city, providing the history or cultural background for each of the locations we visited. It was a pretty full day, but that was on us as we were keen to cram as much in as we could. Definitely recommended!

This tour is a pleasant way to get a first feel for Tokyo, especially if it’s your very first time here. Our guide — who was also the driver — was very friendly and made the experience comfortable and easy. He drove safely and took us to several interesting spots around the city. His English was limited and the explanations were quite basic, so it’s helpful to do a bit of your own research beforehand to fully appreciate each place. But as an introduction to Tokyo, it’s a convenient and enjoyable way to get oriented and see the main highlights.

We had the best day with our private driver Abdul in Tokyo today. My mom has mobility issues and our fabulous guide could not have been more accommodating to make the day special for her. Abdul is also very charming and knowledgeable about all the sites we saw and bringing us to the best food. We had such a good time, we booked him to take us to Mt Fuji later this week. Abdul gets 5 stars!

We can’t say enough about Abdul who filled two roles of being a chauffeur and a tour guide! He was so helpful with navigating everything and made the day so effortless for us! He took great photos and explained a lot about the history. He was kind and personable and was truly a gem and made us feel like Japan was home. He took great care of my elderly mother and my baby! He even held our shopping bags and told us which vendors to get things from. Abdul really made the day memorable and fun!

This was a wonderful, full day! We were able to adjust our experience as we had already spent personal time at the SkyTree so our tour guide Abdul allowed us to spend more time in another shopping area of the city which was fantastic! He shared good tips of where to shop and eat which was great! We had interesting conversations with Abdul, which made the day a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this tour. It is much easier to have a tour guide such as Abdul move you around the large city and explain what you’re looking at. My only feedback would be if it would have been more clear as to where we get picked up to start the tour. When I booked the tour through Viator, they wouldn’t allow us to put in our hotel for pick up. They offered 3/4 options for pick up locations all were about 45-55 min away on the train. Other than that, would recommend this tour!!!

Abdul was amazing, professional and energetic! The van was spacious and clean. We saw so much in Tokyo, my favorite is fish market (sushi melts in your mouth and fresh!) Learned a lot of!
