Yuta was the most amazing guide on our tour! We had no idea how much information he was filled with. He enlightened us about food, manners and the amazing world he lives in! This is way more than just a food tour! Thank you for teaching us so much!!

Itinerary
Kabukicho is Tokyo’s legendary nightlife district, packed with neon lights, entertainment, and people from all walks of life. It’s wonderfully chaotic, energetic, and full of surprises — a side of Tokyo you have to experience for yourself. And here, you’ll experience Tokyo’s nostalgic backstreets while enjoying authentic local street foods like Gyoza(dumpling), Tonkatsu(pork cutlet), yakitori, Tempura, Sushi, craft beer, and sake. Discover a highly recommended Izakaya restaurant that only the locals know about. These are usually crowded, making it tough to get a seat without a reservation. But don’t worry, we’ll reserve the spot for you.
Explore the unique atmosphere of Golden Gai, one of Shinjuku’s most iconic nightlife spots. Wander through its narrow, lively alleyways, filled with tiny bars and hidden gems, and take in the atmosphere as you mingle with locals and fellow travelers along the way. It’s a memorable stop that gives you a glimpse into Tokyo’s vibrant nightlife and the charm of its legendary bar scene.
Hanazono Shrine is a hidden piece of traditional Japan in the heart of Shinjuku. Tucked between neon lights and busy nightlife, this sacred oasis emerges unexpectedly in the middle of the city, offering a peaceful glimpse into another world. After visiting Hanazono Shrine, we’ll cross the street and enjoy taiyaki, a traditional Japanese sweet shaped like a fish and filled with sweet red bean paste. For many Japanese people, taiyaki is more than just a dessert — it’s a nostalgic treat that brings back memories of childhood, festivals, and casual moments with friends. It’s a simple but beloved part of everyday Japanese food culture.

Rinna was an excellent guide! The stops were very fun and had great food, and there was a lot of area specific history included in the tour. Would definitely book again and would highly recommend
Rinna was awesome!!! Such a great tour.
Binita was a fabulous guide. She had many interesting facts about the food and the history of the food/beverage industry the area. Totally enjoyed the whole experience.
Yuta did a fantastic job! We loved our tour with him. Lots of fantastic food and interesting information.
I had such a pleasant experience thanks to Junji. Very knowledgeable and friendly, it was really nice to walk from one location to the other while listening to his stories. The food choice was really good, and I enjoyed his explanations on the proper eating etiquette for certain specific plates. It last 3 hours but time flew by so fast. Every moment was worth it.
Rinna was great, knowledgeable and a sweet young lady who took great care of us.
The food tour was fabulous.. Rinna took us to hidden gems we would have never discovered on our own.. she even took us around famous places around Shinjuku telling us about the history and context of each place. She made it very interesting along with the fabulous food of course. Highly recommend!
Rinna was a great guide- she took us to multiple amazing restaurants with a great variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. She also explained a lot about the city and Japanese culture.
Yuta is a really good guide. He knows about all things in Japan. He is very helpful and knowledgeable.
Amazing experience with Yuta as a guide.
Ren was the best! An informative walking tour and great food! A 5 star experience! I would recommend this to anyone coming to Tokyo
It was ok. The guide was nice and tried hard. But The group was too big and it felt impersonal. I’m writing this review a year later after having taken a solo bar and food tour in Sendai. By comparison I now realize how cookie cutter this tour was.
Nice tour. Several good restaurants. Very kind and experienced guide.
Ali was a great tour guide Knowledgeable about the area and history Food was plentiful and yummy
Absolutely the best food tour in Tokyo!! Rinna and Hiro were amazing guides and shared so much culture and Japanese lore. This tour was 10 out 10.
The tour was soo much fun and our guides reena & hiro were amazing! Highly recommend!
A fun and tasty tour through the streets of Shinjuku! We enjoyed four restaurants and a heap of tasty dishes - my highlights were the custard Taiyaki for dessert, and the opportunity to try Snake Saki! Our guide Ali was charismatic, relaxed and informative, and made the tour an enjoyable exploration even when we weren’t eating. The many tiny bars of Golden-Gai were a particular highlight. I’d recommend this tour to anyone looking to get a broad taste of Japanese cuisine and with an understanding interest in exploring the Shinjuku area!
Miiko was a brilliant guide. A wonderful evening of different food but also thoroughly enjoyed discovering Shinjuku.
Serin and miiko were amazing !!
Very good experience with miko and serin, super friendly and helpful and a wealth of information, highly recommended to all
Our guides Miiko and Serin were so lovely, they were very knowledgeable and we had a great time with them!
Lovely knowledgeable and friendly guide. Food included different types of gyoza, sushi, tempura, sticks, pork and custard desert. Plenty of sake and beer to drink. Walk wasn’t too far. Also showed local pub area and a temple where we got a stamp and were taught how to pray.
The experience was AMAZING!!!! Yuta san is such an incredible guide. We saw a different side of Shinjuku. I have been living in Japan for a year but never explored Shinjuku this way. The food was delicious. I can’t eat raw fish so Yuta san, arranged other options for me as well. I would definitely recommend it. 10/10
Yuta was an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable about the area and Japanese food and culture. Great tour and very informative. A great time!!

Shows you what best to do around shinjuku and good recommendations. Ren was a great and warm guide. Very knowledgeable
Had a really enjoyable food tour around Shinjuku with Rahman! He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and shared lots of interesting information about the food, local culture, and the area along the way. He brought us to some great spots that we probably wouldn’t have discovered on our own, and everything was well organised and easygoing. It was a really fun way to explore Shinjuku and try different Japanese foods. Would definitely recommend Rahman to anyone visiting Tokyo! 😊 Arigatooo!
We had a great experience with the food and our tour guide Mushfiqur Rahman was very kind and knowledgeable. Very recommended for people who are visiting Tokyo, Shinjuku
We had Rahman as a tour, very friendly and knowledgeable. It was good information about the foods culture and history, also some extra information about Shinjuku. We got to try 4 different restaurants with a variety of different food, each and every one was delicious. 15 different foods and 2 drinks of our choices. For this experience I have found new restaurants to recommend and return to which I previously did not know about.
Our tour guide, Rahman, was very kind and accommodating throughout the tour! He has lived in Shinjuku for 8 years so he is very knowledgeable about the surrounding area :)
Our guide was great! Very informative, friendly, and fun. The places she took us were great and we tried so many different things. Finding her was hard, not because she gave bad directions, but because the station was huge and under construction. The places we went, the food was actually great priced and a great value so the price we paid was like 10x more than what we got.
Rinna was a very friendly and welcoming guide. We visited four different izakayas to try a variety of Japanese food and drinks, while also exploring some of Shinjuku’s well known streets, including Omoide Yokocho and Golden Gai. The tour was fun, relaxed, and a great way to discover Shinjuku’s food scene.
A lot of fun. Food was good and our guide Rinna was great - very friendly, funny and knowledgeable
This was great bang for your buck. I’m a solo traveler and didn’t know what to do but this really expanded my view on shinjuku! Rinna was a great tour guide
Yuta was a very engaging and entertaining guide and I saw areas I wouldn’t have seen without him. I appreciated the way Yuta organised the seating, drinks and food orders at each venue. Thank you Yuta.
We had an amazing tour with Rinna on our first night in Tokyo. She was knowledgeable and friendly, and made it a really fun experience for everyone in our group. We showed up hungry and were full by the end!
Excellent time with Rinna exploring the city & different foods. From dumplings to sushi & everything in between. We enjoyed regional delights & sightseeing along the way. Highly recommend.
We took the tour at our first night in Tokyo, and it sealed the night perfectly, both for eating and trying new dishes and also for seeing Shinjuku area. Rina was an excellent guide, nice, welcoming and funny.
Great food, and a mini tour and history lesson about the area. A must on your trip to Tokyo.
Rinna was great and the food was delicious!
Rahman showed us around Shinjuku, we got to taste different foods and drinks and it's been a real blast. 100% recommended.
Ate so much delicious food! Learned so much about modern Japan and the area of the tour. Friendly and interesting host!
Bonita was a wonderful tour guide! She was super knowledgeable about Japanese food and customs. She made it such a fun tour!
Anthony was very knowledgeable about the Shinjuku area. He provided considerable insight into the food options and the famous night scene of the area.
Learned so much so fun! Able to walk off some fullness and eat some more!
Yuta was great! Food was also great!
