Best way to travel to not worry about transportation. You worry your vehicle would be small and not big enough for large luggage and carry on. This transportation service was excellent to accommodate for family of four with all our luggage. I would not hesitate to use them again when in Japan.

Best way to get from Tokyo hotel to cruise ship, especially if traveling with lots of luggage. Obviously more expensive than the subway, but how much is a back injury along with lots of frustration worth? I came to Japan to enjoy, not struggle. The car for 4 people was like a huge SUV, very luxurious and plenty room for all our luggage.

Great way to get from downtown Tokyo to the Yokohama port..: it is quite a distance and I would personally not want to figure out the transit system while lugging our bags with us… the vehicle was excellent, very comfortable. I forgot my phone in the vehicle and they had it back to me in 30 minutes… very thankful for that.

I booked transportation for 5 adults with 5 suitcases (all of which was confirmed with the supplier) from our hotel in Tokyo to Yokohama cruise terminal. The fee was paid in full 2 days earlier. Upon arrival the driver only wanted to take 4 of us claiming our luggage was excessive. It was not. We had 1 standard sized suitcase each all of which were below 23kgs as per our airline's policy. The driver argued with us saying we should book a taxi as well. The office also took the driver's side. Neither the driver or office were willing to come up with a solution. The van provided sat 6 passenger adults so we solved the issue by standing 1 suitcase on the floor in front of a vacant seat. The so called problem was resolved by us not the driver or office. Your contractor in this case was most unprofessional. In fact it was disgraceful service. Perhaps Viator should contact their contractor. To accept the booking with all details provided and then on the day expect us to book a separate taxi was disgraceful. The driver also spoke no English. It was a shambles that we had to find a solution for.

This is a great trip and we were very excited about seeing Mt Fuji as we were lucky to have a clear day. Toshi was a very attentive guide and went out of his way to get us back to the correct train station for our hotel which we appreciated. It was a very long day however. It might be better to eliminate the Hakone Ropeway as it felt too rushed to really enjoy it.

We had 7 people and it was easy to order a van to take us all from our hotel to the cruise terminal. They were on time and the van they sent was comfortable. The driver was friendly and it was very easy. They called me directly when the van came and we could all go downstairs to meet it? The only thing I will mention is they asked us to meet them 1/2 hour earlier to accommodate traffic and parking at the port. I then got an email notice that if we were later than our original time they would charge us for overtime, which I thought was odd since they asked us to move our time earlier but it worked out

Very good communication because before the trip. David was prompt in returning my messages and have a very detailed description of it pickup point and how to get there including pictures showing the route to walk after getting off the cruise ship. Van was beautiful and spacious, easily holding 7 people along with our 15 suitcases. Was a bit expensive for a a 25 minute trip but well worth it to avoid the long lines of people waiting for shuttle busses and taxis. Made departure a stress free experience.

I’m writing this review to give awareness to others who may be looking to book the same or similar transfer. The booking process was easy, and the communication with the tour operator was great. We were contacted via WhatsApp and the pickup details were finalized with the operator. We found our driver at the designated area for private transfer passengers. The driver was courteous and helped us load our heavy luggage. She did not speak any English, but we were able to communicate by using our smart phone. After that, things got weird…. Shortly after leaving the cruise terminal area, we were directed by the local police to pull over to the side of the road. We thought that perhaps we were randomly selected for an additional search or questioning. We soon found out that our driver did not hold the proper license to perform the transfer that we had arranged and paid for. Unfortunately, she was placed under arrest and we were questioned and had our statements taken, ultimately delaying our trip by about 2 hours. Luckily, the police officers were extremely polite and professional, and offered to take us with our luggage to our hotel. We had no way of knowing beforehand that our driver wasn’t properly licensed to drive us from the port. I’m not sure how I could’ve done anything different in retrospect to avoid this situation. Going forward, it will become my practice to confirm with the tour operator that the driver assigned has the proper license to complete our ride as planned. I don’t want to deter anyone from booking this transfer, but just felt the need to make others aware of our experience, so that you can avoid going through it yourself.

The driver showed up a little before the appointed time and met us exactly where I had requested. There were six of us in a nine person van so we had plenty of space for luggage and ourselves and we welcomed the air conditioning. It was stop and go because of city traffic but once we got on the highway it was smooth sailing to the port.

Our transfer to our hotel was smooth. This transfer was almost seamless except out driver was planning to drop us off where the car park was rather than up at the entrance to the ship. We had to argue and call to have them take us upstairs. They wanted us to take out kids, luggage and elderly parents and go on our own rather than door to door. In spite of that booking it and the actual drive was smooth. Our family behind us had the same issue but our other family members were dropped off without difficulty so it didn’t make sense. Needless to say I would still use the company because our first transfer was so smooth from the airport.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with this particular transport. This was a different group from who picked my family and I from the airport. They tried to drop us off at a parking lot instead of the drop off location for the cruise. After a lot of protesting, they reluctantly dropped us off at the cruise location drop off.

Izzy was a fabulous guide, with excellent english and great local knowledge. She went to a lot of effort to created an unique itinery for us that blended local Tokyo life with history and culture. We visited an amazing temple and then had great fun looking through a convenience store and choosing snacks to try. A great way to sample Tokyo.

Two couples shuttle from Shibuya hotel to Yokohama port by van with room for luggage. The van was perfect for our purposes. The driver didn’t speak much English so no conversation took place. He drove safely and we arrived at Yokohama port drop off in good time.
