Tsukiji Outer Market has amazing atmosphere and is one of if not the best fish markets in the world with a wide array of street food stalls and amazing restaurants serving both raw and cooked fish. Lunch should be enjoyed here but is not included.
The Imperial Palace East Gardens are part of the inner Palace area. They are the former site of Edo Castle`s innermost circles of defence.
Meiji Shrine is Tokyo's most prominent Shrine and dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his consort, Empress Shoken completed in 1920. Emperor Meiji was the first Emperor of modern Japan. Traditional Shinto weddings can often be seen taking place here and the entrance is very beautiful and peaceful.

We did a 6 hour tour of Tokyo and made several stops. We were able to select the stops and skip those we did not have an interest in. Our driver Moshe was fantastic.

There was a lot of time viewing sites in the car. There are a lot of people on the streets. It’s a little confusing if you do not use a guide. Loved our guide moushie, so knowledgeable and so fun.

Oriol made our first day in Tokyo memorable. He knew so much about the city and took us to places we would never have discovered on our own. I was able to buy lovely silk kimonos for my daughters and he even took us to the Godzilla store to find a gift for my grandson. We saw the main sights as well at a leisurely pace, with time to wander on foot for as long as we wanted. An added plus was Oriol’s impeccable English. Moshe was incredible. His English was perfect and he took me to all of the places I wanted to see! It is really hot in Japan and he got me very close to the entrances so I wouldn’t get overheated! I also did a walking tour with Yoko and she was also wonderful! She understood my concerns about the heat and found air conditioned places for breaks. Taking these tours and having English speaking guides was the best decision and really improved my Tokyo experience!

We did the Tokyo tour first and had such a great experience that we ended up booking the Fuji tour too, both days were excellent! This was the perfect way to check out some hot spots in Tokyo! Our tour guide was Oriol and he was great! We really appreciated the him helping us figure out the right itinerary for us. Since we were staying close to one of the stops, we eliminated it from our trip and were able to add time for another. He really went the extra mile to make sure we were having a good time. The vehicle was quality and very well air conditioned. When you are traveling in the summer, this is HANDS DOWN the way to check out sites without having to truck yourself all over the city. It allowed us to see out the windows and take everything in knowing someone else is driving!

Our tour guide Richard was wonderful. He stared the tour off on the right foot by contacting me in advance to find out where we were staying and if there were particular things we wanted to see He picked us up perfectly on time in a beautiful large BMW which was very comfortable. The rest of the day went just as smoothly. We started the day at a large Buddhist Temple, and then went to the Skytree which had amazing views of Tokyo. We asked Richard to take us to the kitchen supply district since we wanted to buy quality knives. He was very helpful in pointing out three shops so we could compare knives and prices. We finished with lunch in one of the posh suburbs. Richard still had more he wanted to show us but my partner was lagging so at our request Richard drove us back to our hotel. At the end of the day we felt that we had really absorbed much of the flavor of Tokyo. Throughout the tour Richard shared his extensive knowledge of Tokyo and Japan. It was a perfect day. We both agreed it was well worth the extra cost for a private guide and will advise our friends traveling to Japan to ask for Richard.
