Nicolas Kumano (native French and Japanese speaker) gave us an insightful and well-paced tour of the palace gardens. He is very knowledgeable about the Japanese history and culture. We highly recommended him.

Very nice visit, very relaxing
Very positive experience with Nico as our Guide. He was deeply interested in Japan and its history. The tour was informative and interesting and we came away with a much better understanding of the Palace.
This was a fantastic tour to kick off our vacation in Japan! Alexandre was a great guide; very knowledgeable and fun. I felt like I truly learned the history of Japan through his storytelling. I would recommend this tour to start off your trip in Tokyo if you are new to the country and culture!
Nico was a wonderful guide, which made this walk one of the standout experiences of my solo trip to Tokyo. He was very knowledgeable about the Imperial Palace and the history of the city, and told our small group many interesting details about Japanese culture and mythology. I especially liked the chat we had about Zen Buddhism and the tea ceremony. I was also impressed that he prepared with a little gift of a collection of Japanese phrases that we could take with us at the end of the tour, like a little travel dictionary. Great tour, I can definitely recommend others to book this walk with Sunrise Adventure!
Niko was a great guide for our family carefully explaining the history of the area and transition in power and also cultural philosophy. The walk was very pleasant. Pleased we took the early tour as it was getting hot when we left. A great way to start our holiday in Japan
It was a great experience. Hugo was perfect guide with high respect on Tokyo. I recommend him for your visit to the city with your family or friends
Morgane, our guide for the day, shared the history of Japan in connection with the Imperial Palace very well during the walking tour of the garden. Very informative from a Japanese history perspective. Furthermore, since she knows the country, she also told us about daily life in Japan. I highly recommend this tour in French. Rémy
Alexandre, our guide, offered us a very rich tour. During this excursion in the imperial palace gardens, he offered us an excellent summary of the history of Japan, with dynamism and pedagogy. His clear and precise explanations allowed us to experience these moments of history. Furthermore, he was very friendly and accommodating regarding my walking disability. Thanks to him.
We loved the tour with Alexandre, our guide. It was very interesting to have more context about the Imperial Palace. Alexandre also gave us a very clear historical summary of Japan that will be very useful for our understanding of the country. We therefore highly recommend it!
A perfect visit! Alexandre, our guide, explained the history of Japan perfectly throughout the tour. A perfect balance between culture and discovery of the site and the garden. I recommend this tour, especially with Alexandre.
Excellent tour of the Imperial Palace in Tokyo thanks to Alexandre's explanations, very informative about the history of Japan, thank you very much.
Alexandre, our guide, prepared a very beautiful tour of the palace and its gardens, Through his preparation, we learned a lot about the different eras that built the history of Japan—a big thank you. A must-do!
Alexandre is an engaging and passionate guide. He introduced us to the history of Japan in an educational manner. We lost track of time during this walking tour in the gardens of the Imperial Palace.
Alexandre gave us a pleasant historical visit. He answered all our questions. One small regret, starting the visit with a brief history lesson of about fifteen minutes would have been more enjoyable while strolling through the imperial garden than at the meeting point. A detail. Thank you, Alexandre, it was very informative.
A great experience. Our guide Alexandre was very friendly and educational. We loved his way of conducting the tour by telling the history of Japan. Thanks again to him
Very beautiful visit, very interesting thanks to our French guide, Alexandre, who immersed us in the history of Japan and the Imperial family. Thank you very much, I had a great time. Cécile, Belgium
Our French guide Alexandre was top! This visit is extremely interesting at the beginning of the stay to put in the historical context. Alexander is really very pedagogical. He knows the history of Japan very well and answered all our questions both historical and about life in Japan with precision, kindness and always smile. Our group was very talkative... We stayed another 30 minutes with him! I recommend 100% thank you Alexander for this pleasant and very informative time spent with you!
Very pleasant visit, Nicolas, our guide answered all our questions even the most unusual. The visit took place at our own pace and exciting. Many thanks to Nicolas that we recommend.
Excellent very nice guide who explains well Made us travel through the history of Japan and its different times Very attentive to our questions we learned a lot
Guided tour in essential French to understand the history of Japan, its culture and help us decode how the Japanese work. A huge thank you to Alexandre for all the very clear explanations he gave us during the visit we made with him. You would think that there is not much to see on this space of the imperial palace and quite the opposite. Our French guide shared his passion for Japan and interested us during the 2 hours of the visit. We didn’t see time pass. I recommend 100%. The price is definitely worth it, especially since we are in a small group and there is a real exchange that is created with the guide. Top!
We made the visit with Alexandre, very nice and dynamic. He explained the history of Japan very well with a great popularization 👌🏻 we can only recommend, again thank you!
Great experience. The guide was perfect in all its explanations: history, past and present Japanese society, .... Very good advice for the rest of our stay. Very professional. I highly recommend this visit. Everything was perfect. Thank you again.
Incredible visit with our Franco-Japanese guide Nicolas. He revealed all the little park secrets and answered many questions about Japanese mythology, Japan in general, language etc. We were able to share with him on many topics. We were a small group of 5 people which facilitated the exchanges and made the experience very friendly. We even had the opportunity to spend time and eat together after the visit so much the power went well! The history of the place and the imperial family was very well explained and was very interesting! I highly recommend this experience and would definitely resume a visit with sunrise adventure on a future trip to Japan! We were offered a small fan to withstand the heat as well as a sheet with the main words/phrases that could be useful in Japan to slip into our bag for the rest of the trip! Thank you Nicolas and sunrise adventure for this experience. 🫰🏻
We had an exciting tour thanks to our guide, Alexander, who explained and taught us a lot about the history of Japan (its settlement, the different periods of its history, elements of sociology about Japan and its system of thought). He was able to answer clearly and precisely the various questions posed by the members of the group. Exciting and passionate, Alexander is a very friendly guide who is not miserly of his time. I highly recommend taking a guided tour with him, it is a very rewarding experience. A big thank you!:-D
