Funny, entertaining, true Japanese food experience

Such a fun experience . Highly recommend checking out this sumo show if you’re staying in Tokyo, especially around Ginza. Great for couples or solo travellers. The show was super entertaining and interactive, and they did a great job making English-speaking visitors feel welcome and included. You also get the chance to take photos with the sumo wrestlers at the end, which was a nice! A really fun way to experience Japanese culture. Show was around 2 hours.

The show was fun. We enjoyed the wrestlers’ performances and learned a bit about the rules and techniques. The food was very sub par and almost inedible. Certainly not worth the $150 per person we paid.

We couldn't get a ticket to one of the Sumo Schools, so our travel agency got us this ticket instad. It's more like wrestling than a 'real' sumo fight (I guess), but we had a really fun night out with very nice food. And we still got to learn a lot about sumo fighting :)

Great experience and amazing performance. The sumo wrestlers were friendly and so much fun to watch and interact with. It was a little over 2 hours in total. The food and drink provided were lovely and the atmosphere was unmatched. Highly recommended if you're in Shinjuku or the surrounding area.

Our first visit to Tokyo and this was one of the highlights of our trip. We had a great time! My 6 year old siagjter enjoyed it. Food was delicious! Drinks were great and service was amazing! Place is clean, top notch service! Enjoyed the show, the sumo wrestlers were entertaining and enjoyed learning about this amazing culture. Thank you for making our last day in Japan memorable. Highly recommended!

This is a really fun show. (its a show, not a tournament). The seating/meal area is compact, so everyone has a good view. Food is good and drinks easy to order. The compare was amazing, really funny as he talked through the history and rules .

Our visit to Hirakuza in Ginza was easily one of the most exciting and memorable highlights of our entire trip to Tokyo. The energy in the room was unbelievable from the moment the show started, with former professional sumo wrestlers putting on a powerful and thrilling performance right in front of us. It goes way beyond just watching a match, as the hosts do a fantastic job explaining the rich traditions behind sumo in a fun and welcoming way. What made the night even more special was how interactive it was. Getting the chance to actually step onto the ring, test our strength against a former sumo wrestler, and take awesome photos with them afterward was an unforgettable highlight. The entire cast and staff were so friendly and made sure everyone had a blast. The dining side of the experience was just as impressive. It can often be tricky finding dietary-friendly options in Japan, but Hirakuza made it totally seamless by offering dedicated halal and vegan menus. Our meal was delicious, beautifully prepared, and made the whole evening feel completely stress-free. Whether you are traveling as a couple, with friends, or as a family, this is an absolute must-do in Tokyo if you want great entertainment, amazing food, and authentic culture all in one place!

Very nice venue. Seating had the perfect view from every angle. The food was ok. Very traditional. Great presentation. The show itself reminds me of the Harlem Globetrotters. Very predictable wrestling. More for the children than an adult. Very “comical” demonstrations. If you simply want to know the rules of Sumo it was as good. I didn’t enjoy the sumo “ fat suits” that some folks put on I. A raffle type event to challenge the wrestlers.
