A really enjoyable experience and a lovely souvenir to take home! Casey was great at taking us through the process and we had a really good time.
Very good experience. Enjoyed learning all about the art of Kintsugi.
Great fun and interesting made lovely items
I loved this workshop. There was a short introduction before the workshop started. You'll get to design your own. A ring, coaster, chopsticks holder, magnet, anything you want. It was so much fun to do. This workshop can be enjoyed by solo, couples and families.
I had a fun experience! You can make rings, coasters, hair tie, or a chopstick rest. Highly recommend booking with them if you want a fun activity to do near Shibuya.
We were at the Kintsugi workshop and it was a very fun experience. The admission fee was a little pricy but it was worth it. We were in there for 1 hour and the atmosphere was very cozy. It was a total of 7 people, including the two guides. The staff was very friendly and helped out and gave feedback if there were any issues. The experience is well suited for patient people who like fiddling with small things.
Such a fun way to experience a bit of Japanese history! It’s been so rainy lately, so having something like this to do indoors was perfect. Highly recommend
An Amazing experience ❣️ Our tour guide is so friendly and explained Kintsugi’s history and how to do it so it was easy to understand Japanese culture. I enjoyed being touch with it. Absolutely fantastic❣️
It was a great experience and I loved the concept of making something beautiful in imperfection. The fridge magnet and ring we made looks amazing!! Sho is such a nice and friendly guide :)
We had the best experience! It was an amazing cultural experience as well as interesting and a lovely way you spend the morning with my children. Our teacher was informative and patient. Highly recommended.
Amazing experience worthwhile for the entire family. 10/10 would love to do this workshop again. Left with some beautiful new rings and refrigerator magnets :)
It was fun to do! I could make a good souvenir.
The workshop was fun and unique. Kintsugi takes a long time to dry and to do , so this is a unique way to do it quickly. Very creative idea I think. We had time to choose our pieces which was the most difficult part! There were so many different pieces of old pottery to choose from. I think everybody can find a design they like! I think it’s worth it to make a souviner you can take home! A special thing that you have made and you’ll have a good memory every time you look at it. Only 10 minutes from Shibuya station.
An amazing experience! Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Tokyo. We got to take home a beautiful magnet and ring. Forever a cherished souvenir!
Very nice experience! Place was just a bit hard to get to.
Excellent experience! Definitely coming back!
Such a fun workshop and I get to have a unique keepsake of my time in Tokyo!
I love my hairband! Nice staff ♡
It was very nice experience. Since the entering it was such a beautiful atmosphere, relaxing music and our master was very helpful, she recommended us a lot of nice Japanese food, areas to explore. While we were making the pottery we learnt about Japanese culture and in the end we had very good chopsticks holder 💗😍😍😍
It was very nice, calming music. And the instructor was very kind and polite. The experience was calming and comfortable, and we have a cool chopsticks holder now.
Really good activity in Japan with family and you can bring your art home !!!
I love it!!! Very fun and they have drinks too
I've been intrigued by kintsugi since I learnt about it, so I was thrilled to finally experience it for myself. We had a wonderful instructor who spoke fluent English and gave us a fascinating introduction to the history and philosophy of kintsugi—the art of finding beauty in imperfection. He then guided us through the entire process using recycled ceramic pieces, explaining that this approach is much more sustainable than workshops that intentionally break intact pottery just to glue it back together. I really appreciated the emphasis on both the tradition and the environmental aspect of the craft. At the end, we each created a unique keepsake, such as a refrigerator magnet, ring, or hair accessory, and it was so nice to leave with something we had made ourselves. One tip: think ahead about the type of item you'd like to create and choose a design that uses no more than seven ceramic pieces. It's a bit of pressure to complete it in just an hour - luckily, he gave us some extra time (15 minutes) because they didn’t have any additional guests. I highly recommend this workshop for anyone interested in Japanese art, craftsmanship, or sustainable creative experiences.
What a fun way to spend an afternoon! Getting creative with a group of lovely people that were in the same session. Casey was a great host, lots of knowledge, explained the process really well. We laughed a lot. So happy I got to learn the process and the history of this technique. I’ve made a beautiful pendant I’m going to turn into a necklace when I get home.
Whole family had a lot of fun learning about the art of Kintsugi and making something beautiful. The kids were able to do it too and had a great time!
This kintsugi workshop was such a memorable experience and one of my favorite activities during our trip to Tokyo. I had never tried anything like this before, but the class was incredibly approachable and relaxing from start to finish. Takaya was an amazing instructor. He was enthusiastic, patient, and made sure everyone was able to follow along at their own pace. He shared the history and philosophy behind kintsugi in a way that made the experience feel even more meaningful, and he was always happy to offer guidance whenever we needed help. I also loved that there were several different accessories and items to choose from, so everyone could create something that matched their own style. It made the finished piece feel even more special because it was something I genuinely wanted to take home and use. If you’re looking for the workshop, it’s located in the basement karaoke room of a sushi restaurant. It might seem like an unusual location at first, but it’s part of what made the experience so unique. I left with a beautiful keepsake and a much greater appreciation for the art of kintsugi. I would absolutely recommend this class to anyone visiting Tokyo who wants to try something creative and authentic.
I had a wonderful experience at this kintsugi class near Shibuya and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique, hands-on activity in Tokyo. Our instructor, Takaya, was fantastic—he was highly interactive, engaging, and made sure everyone felt comfortable throughout the entire process. He explained each step clearly, answered questions patiently, and created a fun, welcoming atmosphere that made the experience enjoyable even for complete beginners. One thing I really appreciated was the variety of options available. Rather than everyone making the same item, we were able to choose from multiple accessories and pieces to repair or create, making the experience feel much more personal and memorable. For anyone trying to find the location, the classroom is in the basement karaoke room of a sushi restaurant. It can be a little unexpected at first, but once you know where to go, it’s easy to find and adds to the charm of the experience. Overall, this was one of my favorite cultural activities in Tokyo. Learning the philosophy and techniques behind kintsugi while creating something meaningful was incredibly rewarding. Thank you, Takaya, for making the class both educational and fun. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting the Shibuya area.
Very relaxing experience! Excelent teacher!
I had a lovely time! Lemy was our teacher and she gave us lots of interesting information on the history of Kintsugi. I made a lovely ring from pottery pieces and am looking forward to making more now that I know what to do!
Fun easy workshop! Great guide & fun pieces to work with. Leave with one piece - a ring, magnet, hair tie, or chopstick holder.
So much fun! We had great chats about the art, but importantly about everything else culture. Great exchange and learned a lot! It was the perfect wabi sabi activity in a time of life I needed it most ♥️
very Nice experience , with a lot of explanations. Perfect
Easy to find the place and got a detailed instruction on doing the Kintsugi. The teacher is kind and speaks good English. I got a beautiful Kintsugi ring at last🥰
It’s a really interesting time making your own accessories using in the Kintsugi style. Very relaxed activity to do at your own pace and our guide was very patient and clear with his instructions!
it was a fun experience making my own chopstick holder and our guide gave us a very detailed explanation of the history behind kintsugi. i enjoyed myself :)
My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful time at the Tokyo Kintsugi Accessory Making Workshop in Shibuya. This was one of the most unique and memorable experiences of our trip to Japan. The instructors were welcoming, patient, and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain the history and philosophy behind Kintsugi—the beautiful art of embracing imperfections and finding beauty in repair. Their guidance made the process enjoyable and easy to follow, even for complete beginners. The workshop was hands-on, creative, and relaxing. We loved being able to design and create our own accessories while learning about a traditional Japanese art form. The materials were high quality, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. What made the experience especially meaningful was sharing it together as a couple. Creating something with our own hands and taking home a unique piece that we made ourselves gave us a special souvenir and lasting memory of our time in Tokyo. If you’re looking for an authentic cultural experience beyond the typical tourist attractions, I highly recommend this workshop. It’s a perfect activity for couples, families, or anyone interested in Japanese culture and craftsmanship. Thank you to the entire team for such a fantastic experience!
My wife and I had an amazing time at the Kintsugi Accessory Making Workshop. Lemy & Show were phenomenal! They were patient, knowledgeable, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. Learning the art and meaning behind Kintsugi—embracing imperfections and finding beauty in restoration—made the workshop even more meaningful. Creating our own accessories together was relaxing, fun, and a unique bonding experience. Everything was well organized, and all the materials provided were high quality. We left with beautiful handmade keepsakes and memories we’ll always cherish. I highly recommend this workshop to couples, friends, or anyone looking for a creative and meaningful activity. It was truly a one-of-a-kind experience that we’ll never forget!
