Leo was very friendly & informative, his English was good & he made the very most of our 4 hour trip around some of the main sites in Tokyo (before the jet lag hit) Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him & this tour.
We had a really good walk and ride experience with a very knowledgeable guide. We all enjoyed it very much
We had a wonderful experience on the Tokyo Essential Private Tour in Asakusa with our guide, Keiji. The 3-hour tour was a great way to explore this historic part of Tokyo and learn more about Japanese culture and traditions. Keiji was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He made the tour enjoyable and interesting, and we really appreciated his explanations and personal attention. We highly recommend Keiji and this tour to anyone visiting Tokyo, especially those who want to discover the history and culture of Asakusa with a knowledgeable local guide. Thank you, Keiji, for a memorable experience!
We had Maki as our tour guide and she was wonderful! She listened to what we wanted to see (Tokyo tower and Asakusa) and suggested near by temples to make the tour even better! She explained the history and cultural significance of everything we saw! We traveled by foot and train. We had a wonderful time!
Pancho-san was very good guide, very funny and informative
Sally was an amazing tour guide! We booked a four hour experience and she made the very best use of those 4 hours. We went to Senso Ji and the Imperial Palace and were able to get to know both areas very well. She knows her historical and cultural references and has so much knowledge of Japan! My wife and I very much enjoyed our tour today. Oh and she took like a million pics for us!
Phenomenal!!! Absolutely worth every cent. Sally was amazing , so friendly, knowledgeable, patient 😀 a jam packed day and we saw so much !!
Our guide was Leo and he was great. Good communication with us beforehand with s list of options. Easy to adjust as you please. He met us at our hotel which was great. Great for s first day in Tokyo to learn the train system and see many different areas.
We had a wonderful afternoon walking tour in Tokyo with our guide Chisato She tailored the tour to our interest's which she had checked before our trip and was very enthusiastic throughout the tour. We would highly recommend Chisato
Sally was absolutely wonderful. We could not have seen as much of Tokyo as we did without her assistance . Her knowledge of how to use the subways was worth the cost of the trip. We traveled from one end of Tokyo to the other and learned many interesting things about the history and culture of Japan. Thanks so much for all your help and attention, Sally
Absolutely an amazing experience. Sally (Saori) took us everywhere. Temples, markets, shrines .... We got a c ash course in the train system (which helped immensely) Sally was very knowledgeable in culture and history and explained things very well It was a very solid 4 hours and well over 10,000 steps !!! Sally took photos of.my partner and I along the way and then shared them at the end of the tour. Cannot recommend this tour enough and certainly recommend Sally for her knowledge , enthusiasm and answering all our questions! Thanks Sally
Having never been to Tokyo before, Keiji was the perfect guide for us - mixing historic information on the sites we visited with interesting, more personal insights and stories. As a result, we got so much more out of our time. Would recommend this tour to anyone looking to add some local colour to the standard tourist experience.
We had an amazing day in Tokyo. Sally was knowledgeable and fun. We enjoyed the shrine and temple. The market was fantastic. The gardens were beautiful and the views she found were incredible. The public transportation was quite the experience! We could have never managed that on our own. Sally took pictures for us and sent them via What’s App. I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tokyo. Sally gave us a day we will never forget!!
A fantastic 6 hour walking tour given by the wonderful Kenichi who collected us from our hotel, took us to everything on our list and more besides. Kenichi is a super man who is very knowledgeable and great fun. Can highly recommend.
Kenichi is an amazing guide, knowledgeable, personable and great fun. We would highly recommend this 6 hour walking tour, especially with Kenichi, who collected us from our hotel and showed us everything on our itinerary and more besides.
Our guide Kenichi, one of the best He went above and beyond to show US we will come back and hire him and tell our friends and to do so too
Shoko was so kind and knowledgeable. We had an amazing time! Fully recommend
If you are a first time visitor to Japan this is a great way to see what you want to see with the help of a fantastic local guide. Our guide Sally was friendly and very knowledgeable about her own country and home town.Would recommend this tour to anyone.
We had a really excellent tour! Thank you so much! Loved it!
Timi was knowledgeable, pleasant, accommodating and tailored our itinerary based on what we wanted to see.
Shin was very good help for a new traveller to Japan. Customised the tour around my interests and itinerary.
Had a great experience with Sally, she knew the city & was very caring towards my Mom as she couldn’t walk that far for long.
Sally was really great with her knowledge around the city & was very patient & kind with my mom having knee problems, would highly recommend & if I could I would book another private tour again with the same company.
I had a wonderful tour with Saika. She thought me so much and guided me through the process. I feel like I had a tour with a friend and she went at a pace I was comfortable with.
Keiji was a great guide. He tailored the itinerary to suit our needs. He was very helpful in helping us with the train system and getting our tickets. He was very knowledgeable about his city and he went to extra trouble to drop us off at the end in an area to do some shopping and have lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour
This was the perfect way to orientate ourselves in Tokyo. A great day out seeing both historical and modern parts of the city. Nori was so gentle and kind. He was the Ideal guide for our family.
Had a wonderful time with Saika as a tour guide . She got us complimentary water and showed us the sights around Tokyo and was very nice and knowledgeable
Really good way to see Tokyo, with plenty of walking. Saw many of the main attractions with time to stop at shops and cafes. Leo is a great guide.
Our guide took us around to a handful of stops and was super knowledgeable. We got to see Tokyo without having to map everything ourselves or research the significance of it.
This is a great way to explore Tokyo on a first day in the city to get a lay of the land, figure out the trains in a non-threatening way, and get recommendations on other places to visit. Leo was an amazing guide who was professional and knowledgeable about the city. We got to see and experience most of the “must-see” places, but the guide was flexible to make changes based on our needs/ wants as well. The 6-hour walking tour seemed to be the perfect length for us.
Leo was a great guide to show us the basics of Tokyo sites and cultures. We learned so much we feel we can venture out on our own now.
Our guide Kenichi tailored our outing to suit our interests in Tokyo. We went as a couple. We went to the old fish market, John Lennon's cafe and the Emperor's shrine and gardens. He was friendly, informative and enthusiastic. I would recommend having a personal guide. We booked for 3 hours.
Suitable for everyone. Very informative and helpful. Our guide was friendly and engaging. She was able to customize our experience and cover a lot of ground in our 3 hours with her.
Tour guide was ok, not great. English was a bit of a challenge. Tour did not visit all of the locations listed in the Viator description. The initial itinerary presented by the tour guide missed many points of interest, a few were added back, but not all. We feel that this tour was very overpriced for what we received.
Leo was an amazing guide who took us to many of the Tokyo must see locations and gave us tons of background knowledge about the city. He even let us do a few side quests to find some grandchild gifts. He was professional, knowledgeable, and fun. Great communication before the tour and during the tour.
Excellent tour which we were easily able to tailor to our preferences. Lots of communication from our guide (Noburu). Everything was on time and just as we planned. Lots of interesting facts on the way. Our guide was easy to understand.
Ayako was informative and catered to our wishes on a fun tour around Toyko
Masa our guide let us suggest places we wanted to see and he navigated the city and subways to let us see everything. He is very knowledgeable about the history and answered all our questions along the way. What a great way to get your bearings in one of the truly global cities.
Koichi was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. He accommodated specific requests and built an enjoyable tour around our one day in Tokyo. We would highly recommend this tour.
We had a great 4 hour tour with Taro. He picked us up at the port and we used taxis to get around which was great because had an ankle issue and climbing stairs in and out of the subway stations wouldn’t work. We went to Tokyo Tower, several shrines and Temples, he found a great Korean bbq place restaurant that could accommodate my Celiac husband, and we went to the grounds of the Imperial Palace. He took us to Shibuya so we could experience that as well. The trip was tailored to what we wanted to see and his suggestions to fill in the tour were on point. He assisted us in purchasing a book in which we could get stamps either printed on site or pre printed at the temples and shrines to add to the book. Tokyo is so very clean and well organized. The people we came across were wonderful. But we had no idea what we were doing and Taro gave us a wonderful experience - we highly recommend him!
Saika was a wonderful and knowledgeable tour guide who showed us all the important and interesting sites in Tokyo and also gave us a lot of practical information
I had an amazing time with my guide. We spent the whole time exploring the Imperial Palace and learning about the family and the grounds.
Ken was a great tour guide, really helped us understand how to navigate our way around as he guided us through several different locations. Would recommend especially for first time travellers.
Taro was very knowledgeable, he tailored our 4 hour tour to our interests. He was able to find Korean Barbecue restaurant to accommodate my husband who has celiac, he helped us buy a book for stamps and took us to a few places to get more stamps. We highly recommend him.
Miyuki was a truly excellent guide. We had the best time!
I learned alot about the history of the shrines and how a lot of the sections work. I really enjoyed the experience
Sally was absolutely incredible. She made sure to teach me how to get around on my own, and gave me great advice. She made sure to show me all of the beautiful sites Tokyo has to offer. I couldn’t recommend more.
Had a great time exploring the city with Ayako! She took us to hidden spots and showed us an excellent overview of the city!
Leo was the best. We highly recommend him. He was helpful in so many ways.
