Goreilo was an excellent guide and a wonderful person. He catered the day to our pace and nothing was a problem for him. He was very warm and friendly but not too personal. He has a very good knowledge of Japaneses history and culture. We had jokes with him and enjoyed his company very much. Our driver was also very good. We would recommend Goreilo without hesitation.

Takeshi went above and beyond to provide the perfect tour for me and my friends. Takeshi contacted me as soon as he was assigned to our group. We gave him our list of places to visit taking into account for mobility and diverse plans. We discussed a few options and found the perfect plan. Takeshi was adaptable and accommodating. He was so fun and informative.
Excellent tour! Delivered on everything they said they would. Goreilo was a wonderful guide and educated us about the city. He accommodated our large group and gave us an exceptional experience. I highly recommend this tour guide and agency.
Takeshi was among the best guides that have helped me explore the world. He was proactive and provided great advice to schedule our tour and time it to see everything we wanted. He rode the metro at the tour end with some of us to our shopping destination while our other friend was returned to the hotel. He went above and beyond to make our visit special. We wish we could have spent more time with him.
We had an amazing tour with Goreilo! He was in touch with us weeks before our tour so we were able to share exactly where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see. He even made sure we were able to stop at a great place to purchase a few kitchen knives. He was incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. We will book with him again on our next trip to Tokyo.
We arrived in Tokyo and only had two days to get a feel for the country before traveling around for another 24. Our objective was to see as much as possible in 8 hours and to obtain a basic knowledge of Japanese history, religious philosophy, art, architecture, culture and way of life. Our guide was Hideki Maruyama who was absolutely wonderful. He spent 8 continuous hours taking us to the Tokyo highlights and answering all of our endless questions. His knowledge covers all of the necessary topics along with a thorough understanding of Buddhism and its relationship with Shintoism and other world religions. He is tolerant, patient and has a wonderful sense of humor. The trip is well worth the cost and I highly recommend it.
Our first day in Tokyo was made joy vs the stress of finding our way around such a large and wonderful city .We were visiting for a mother daughter birthday trip. Our guide. An, had a sweet surprise for us on arrival, was on time and planned not only an amazing day tour but made adjustments on the fly and we were able to fit a few extras in. The bonus was answering so many of our questions and teaching us local customs- and she knew exactly where to stand to have us get incredible photos we will cherish…… Another bonus was sending us links to things we were interested in- and she helped us get last minute tickets to the final day of the Kabuki theater…. Oh the insider tips ! Honestly felt like a new city orientation with a best friend …. And perfect English. We covered more ground and learned more in one day than we would have uncovered in a week on our own! Thank you, An!
We had a wonderful experience! They catered to our large group and the trip was effortless. They picked us up from the hotel dedicated us about the beautiful city, and we truly had a unique experience. Our guide, Gorelio, was fantastic! Highly recommend.
Sam was very knowledgeable and friendly we went to several museums and temples would recommend this tour
If you only have a short time to experience Tokyo, there’s no better way to spend that time than on a private tour, especially with Izumi. From greeting to departure, we felt as though he was our partner in experiencing this magical city. It’s just too big of a city to do on your own and get much out of but when you have somebody like Izumi on your side it makes the experience exceptional. Everything we thought we wanted to see and so much more was covered in the six hours we had with him. I wish we had two or three more days to spend, but since we don’t, I wouldn’t change a thing about the day. We loved our driver as he was wonderful getting us everywhere with cheerfulness and speed, Mr. Kobayashi was a jewel. If you can’t have family show you around this is definitely the next best thing. Fabulous.
Fummy did a wonderful job! Would recommend him!
Well organized. Guide Ryoko was closely in contact planning the itinerary. She was polite, punctual, knowledgeable and flexible. Excellent guide. Driver Mr Goto was courteous, flexible and knowledgeable.
The communication in advance of the tour was excellent and clear. It was truly customizable. We visited 4 separate areas, which would have been impossible without the driver and guide. Would highly recommend this as a way to navigate and this massive city
Osamu was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about Tokyo past and present. He understood our interests and gave us a comprehensive tour of Tokyo (in as much as you can do in a 6 hour guided tour). l would recommend him to anyone that was interested in a personalized guided tour. Our thanks to him, Viator and GetYourGuide!
This experience was one of the best travel adventures we have ever had. Our guide was flexible and made the experience to suite our needs and had stories to make the journey memorable and truly one we will never forget. We learned so much about Japan and the history in such a fun way that would want to come back again. If I could give it 6 stars I would.
Katsu san Surpassed our expectations. Having a private car driver as well as a tour guide was wonderful because in busy areas with no parking we saved time. Katsu experience and thoughtful communications was exceptional.
We had a fantastic day touring Tokyo with our guide Show. We had a van with a driver to make sure we got to all the places on time. The driver helped with our electric wheelchair at several of the stops. Show communicated with me weeks in advance to create a custom itinerary of the things we wanted to see most in Tokyo. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all the sites we visited and also gave us a lot of Japanese history tied to the places we visited. I would highly recommend this tour , and Show as a guide to anyone visiting Tokyo.
We found the tour to be a fantastic way to explore Tokyo in one day and see all the key sights you really want to visit\. Our guide, Fummy, gave us plenty of options to choose from, with clear instructions provided several days in advance, which made planning really easy\. We chose to do the tour on our first day before spending the rest of our trip exploring the city independently\. Fummy was incredibly helpful, respectful and engaging, and shared lots of interesting facts and insights throughout the day\.
Great job and very informative. Also well organized and takato was wonderful. We will use you again in other venues
Fantastic day with an excellent guide. We saw many sights and learned a lot of history! This was one of the best tours we’ve taken. Noripy is friendly, knowledgeable and fun. We could not have asked for more. Highly recommended.
The private car tour of Tokyo was a great way for my family to see several Tokyo locations in about 6 hours. It was perfect for a rainy day and wonderful to have the car waiting after each stop. Our guide, Goreilo, contacted us in advance to arrange pick up and set an itinerary. He was proactive, helpful and polite. FYI you do not get to select your guide when you book this tour. Looking at the reviews, this may cause an issue for some. We were quite happy with our guide. He was excellent with our 1 year old son and very knowledgable about the city. 5 stops in 6 hours felt a little rushed, but that was intentional on our part as we only had 2 days in Tokyo and wanted to see as much as possible. Doing it agin I would spend more at fewer stops.
Fully customizable Tokyo tour in a private car with driver and guide. This was great way to hit some of the major sights in a short amount of time. I communicated without guide via what’s app an email to set up an itinerary including Meiji Shrine, Asakusa, and the Tsujiki Fish market. We were also able to change and adjust on the go.
Very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Fantastic tour. Throughly enjoyed every minute and would do it again
Izumi is an excellent guide. He’s fluent in English and is well prepared with background materials on all the important sights in Tokyo. We explored several of them, including the Meiji Shrine, the Imperial Palace, the Hama-rikyu Gardens, among others. He was joined by an excellent driver in a very nice, comfortable van. The whole experience was first-rate and we would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a private tour of this amazing city.
Great tour with Takeshi, he provided great historical background on the sites we visited. Also had a driver who was excellent in dropping us off and picking us up. This was a private tour which we loved since we got to pick the sites to see.
We spent six hours with Izumi and his excellent driver visiting some of the most interesting highlights of Tokyo. It was a highly diverse selection, ranging from the Meiji Shrine to the Imperial Palace to the shopping stalls of Akasaka to an extensive Japanese garden. Izumi speaks excellent English and is happy to answer any questions you may have. He is highly knowledgeable about all the destinations and uses an iPad to fill-in the facts and historical perspectives. The van we traveled around in was very comfortable, with excellent air conditioning. Overall, we would highly recommend this tour.
Our guide Mura was excellent. He arranged a customized tour that included what we wanted to see in the time frame. He was very knowledgeable.
Really wouldn’t have been able to do this ourselves. Steve was very helpful in choosing our itinerary.
Our personal guide Fumiko and our driver Nino truly made our first ever visit to Japan delightful! We had been preparing with our various guide books to learn what to expect in order to make our visit positive. Actually we were not sure whether we would be able to put a full day together and actually see very much as the logistics of getting very far without a personal driver were very weak! . In addition the guide books were overwhelmingly foreign. Too many attraction destinations to coordinate a relaxing visit!!! Where do you start? What should we do? Well Formiko our personal guide who suggested and showed, taught, walked us through each historical and culturally important section of Tokyo truly took the time to really submerse us in the experience as she was very intuitive and easy to connect with! You have no real understanding of what is happening without an expert walking you through it. Fumiko and Nino presented the solution! We came away thrilled and we are very much fufilled and feeling this duo provided the guidance and means to accomplish the very best visit possible without question! The best ever duo indeed!
We had an absolutely wonderful day with Fumiko and Nino. We saw all the sights we wanted to see in Tokyo. Nino was able to move us efficiently through the city dropping of at the various sights and picking us up without waiting! Nino’s vehicle was comfortable and absolutely spotless. Fumiko reach out to us via email and made up an itinerary that was perfect for our time schedule she is a true professional! We highly recommend this tour and you could not find a better guide and driver combination than Fumiko and Nino.
Ryoko-San was an excellent tour guide. She contacted us well in advance and curated a perfect private tour according to our interests. She was very flexible during the day and added in extra stops and gave us great historical context about the sights that we visited. Highly recommend Ryoko!!
Good Tour with Steve ! Enjoy beautiful places in Tokyo.
Excellent! Suzuki the tour guide gives you a good picture of Tokyo Covers every detail Highly recommend this tour
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour with you last week. Perfeclty planned and your attention to our needs was excellent. A wonderfully conducted tour and enlightening experience.
We had a wonderful experience with our tour guide, Yuki, in Tokyo! She took us to Tokyo Tower, Meiji Shrine, and Harajuku and made the entire day easy and enjoyable. Yuki was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and especially thoughtful with our group. We had two people using wheelchairs, and she coordinated with our driver on the best places to park and pick us up so getting in and out of the car was as comfortable and convenient as possible. We really appreciated the extra care she took to make sure everyone could enjoy the tour without feeling rushed. Thank you, Yuki, for making our day in Tokyo so memorable and stress-free. We would definitely recommend her, especially for families traveling with elderly family members or anyone with mobility needs! ❤️
We had a great time on our tour. Our guide, Fumiko, was very good. She contavted us about two weeks before the tour so she could customize the activities. She was incredibly helpful during all of the planning. She met us at our meering poit with a sign that had identified her, which made the start of the tour easy. Thw tour itself was awesome. She gave good insight about all the locations that we visited. I highly recommend her for any tours.

Out guide Fumihiko Terada was very helpful and always with a smile and great vibes. We went as a family and would recommend it to Anyone. Thank you again
Toru (our guide) was very knowledgeable and made out first day in Japan perfect! Together we planned our day tour months in advance. I highly recommend this tour and our guide Toru .
We had a wonderful day with Izumi-San. He communicated early, heard what we were interested in, and delivered above and beyond what we were looking for. He was well prepared, had a lot of information to share, was very knowledgeable and patient, took us to all the stops we wanted and had us back at our hotel at the scheduled time. Besides the cultural spots, he also had great recommendations; we are still talking about the sushi place he took us for lunch at the Tsukiji fish market. We would happily hire Izumi-San again!
Excellent tour. Izumi was our guide and did a wonderful job.
Great way to see the main attractions in Tokyo with a very knowledgeable guide and luxury of van travel.
Our guide, Seizo, was fabulous and very friendly. He gave us suggestions on what to see ahead of time. On our tour, he explained some of the history and provided other recommendations of things to do next time we visit. He found a lunch spot that was delicious. It was hot and it was nice to see the city in a car with AC. We always had a cool spot after visiting the shrines, palace, and temple. Highly recommend. Ask for Seizo!
Yoshi was an excellent, friendly, knowledgeable guide. We really enjoyed our time with him. He has superb knowledge of Tsukiji fish market, and we appreciated that he was able to show us the best Wagyu skewers and steer us away from vendors that were less suitable for our tastes. He also pointed out excellent strawberry daifuku which we all devoured. We loved his insights at Senso-ji and Meiji Jingu. We highly recommend Yoji. You will have a great time with him in Tokyo!
Our licensed guide, Izumi, and driver, Paul, were both great. Izumi shared a vast historic overview of each location we visited and expertly answered any questions we had. In addition, he created a friendly atmosphere and interacted with all seven of us. Paul did an excellent driving job and made certain he was there immediately when we were ready to go to our next destination. I highly recommend this tour to others.
Our tour in Tokyo was fantastic. Our guide, Kahori, contacted me shortly after scheduling the tour through Viator. She explained who she was, a bit about her experience and gave our group an example itinerary to help us choose places we were interested in. Our group had a few travelers with extreme dietary restrictions/ allergies. Kahori helped us find and research several places that would accommodate our needs. Kahori checked in with our group to remind us of the tour and was very attentive to our groups suggestions. On the day of the tour she was waiting for us in the lobby of the hotel and was extremely friendly and punctual. We visited 5 different areas across Tokyo (Senso Ji temple, Imperial Palace Gardens, Shibuya Crossing, Tokyo Tower, Metropolitan government building). Although we did do everything, I would suggest sticking to a specific area as we found we were on a very tight time schedule for 6 hours. We truly underestimated how sprawling the city is. We ended the trip with lunch at Tempura Asakusa Sakura. It was delicious. The staff was friendly and very attentive to our group. The tour was amazing and I would highly recommend it.
We had an amazing time on our 6-hour private tour with Kahori! She was so knowledgeable, sweet, and patient with our group. Our driver, Tamae, was safe and efficient, even showing us some extra sights along the way. Kahori contacted us a few days in advance to plan an itinerary that fit our needs and the sights we wanted to see. We started at the Meiji Jingu Shrine, then the Imperial Palace, then the Tsukiji Fish Market, and we ended at Yanaka Ginza. Kahori had engaging and relevant historical and cultural information for each site (she even carried an iPad with really helpful visual aids). At the Tsukiji Market she helped us find which shops to go to for lunch and explained all of the different types of food (we ended up having our favorite sushi from our entire trip from her recommendation!). She was really attentive to the needs of our group, always checking in if we needed more time and making sure we got to see everything we wanted to see. I would absolutely recommend a tour with Kahori!
Excellent experience with Mr. Izumi. He communicated with me in advance to arrange the meeting point and then ask about preferences on locations to visit. During our tour, he customized as we went and was open to changes. He made suggestions and recommendations and answered all of our questions. We had a wonderful day together in Tokyo!
Yoshi was a wonderful tour guide for Tokyo! He was so helpful and knowledgeable and showed us the city. We had a large group that he kept organized and happy.
We only had 6 hours to see the most important attractions of Tokyo and our guide "nailed it". Rumi was so pleasant and personable, and did an amazing job sharing the history and culture with us. I only wish we had another day to spend with her!
