Tokyo Chopstick Making Workshop(shinjuku Asakusa Shibuya Ginza)

Very friendly and patient staff. Lots of people making chopsticks at the same time and they are still so patient with everyone.

I had such a fun experience making chopsticks with Japan Guide Star. The staff were very friendly, knowledgable and helped me with each step of the process. I went alone which was no problem and really enjoyed the creation process! Definitely recommend the experience and a great souvenir to take home.

It was really fun, Yui was such a good instructor. I felt like it was a unique experience that I would recommend to anyone in Tokyo

Though I had difficulty with my blade at first, which was blunt, once replaced was great. Danny especially was hands on, never stopped smiling, supportive, patient and explained the technique of using the shaving better in my opinion as well as the engraving and what my name meant in Japanese. Not taking away from the other staff all were great, the studio was packed and everyone was enjoying themselves. Highly recommend.

We did the chopstick and kintsugi classes. The workshop is an open space with staff who all seem to know what they are doing and take turns helping you. It seemed like it can get busy but all of the staff were very helpful and kind even when there were a lot of people. Nonoka in particular was very friendly to us! The activities were fun and simple to understand and it is nice to be able to take the end product home. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to do a traditional craft or wants something fun for crafty children to do.

The workshop is small, but do not let it fool you. This is one experience you must not pass on because the staff are VERY nice and they also speak English. Wendy was the guide for me and my girlfriend, and Wendy was very informative, helpful, and especially kind. This place is very amazing and it’s easy to make your own chopsticks! I walked in and they helped me pay for my admission fee, which was only $12 for two people. The chopsticks themselves have differing prices, ¥8000 for a premium wood but their cheapest is ¥2000! It takes around 30-45 minutes for the whole experience, I went on a Saturday and it was not that busy. I would honestly recommend this to any couples, or families looking for a long-lasting souvenir that they can also use for the rest of their life :).

We had such a nice time at this workshop, great vibes and we loved making our own souvenir. You can make a base model or a super high end personalized version, it’s totally up to you. Definitely recommend.

This was my first time experiencing woodworking in Japan and I would like to say that this won’t be my last as this experience was one of my favourites. The workers were amazing and guided me to make sure I was making the product correctly . Nono ,Sunny and Jesse was so helpful and I would recommend trying this activity out!!!

Really fun activity to do in Tokyo. The price varies based on the kind of wood you choose. The staff is very helpful. My only critique is that at one point there were too many staff members and we felt swarmed. We had 4 different people coming up to us and it was overwhelming. Otherwise, the staff is nice and helpful.

We had a great time doing this. It’s not something that takes incredibly long and the area around it was amazing. Also isn’t expensive to do and can easily be done if on a budget. The guide was nice and very well versed in the craft. Would definitely recommend
