This was so much fun! Located in business area, I almost missed the entry had two other tourists not pointed out where it was. So many signs from different businesses that it was an overload to find the entry elevator. You will shave, sand and oil your own chopsticks. Classes were small, the guide was so friendly and attentive and it was a fun souvenir to take home that I still use to this day.
What a fun experience. The folks teaching us were very nice and helpful. One the one hand it could be considered a little expensive for some wooden chopsticks, but the experience more than made up for it
The chopstick making experience was very fun. Yumi sensei was very friendly and helpful and made the whole experience very enjoyable. The chopsticks also turned out amazing. The place was not overcrowded which was nice as it allowed ample space to make the chopsticks. The atmosphere was light and friendly and everyone was having fun. The time that was given to us to make chopsticks was perfect and it allowed us to really be in the process and perfect our chopsticks.

The workshop was amazing ! I’d leave about an hour free to do it. You chose your wood, carve it, sand it, oil it, and for a little extra you can have your name (or anything) engraved on! I loved it !! highly recommend
Excellent workshop. We showed up without an appointment but they happily took us in immediately, the tuition was first class and the whole experience was good fun and memorable as I walked away proudly at the end with my personally made set of chopsticks.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience making our own chopsticks! Kay was our instructor and was so helpful and kind! She explained the process well and made our whole experience seamless. She also provided great tips for other things to do in the area. There were several other groups participating, but there was plenty of space for us to have a private experience. We were able to start earlier than our scheduled time and the session lasted about an hour. We would highly recommend adding this class to your Tokyo visit! Such a fun and memorable souvenir to take home!

Honestly I went in thinking this would just be a quick stop while I was out in Shinjuku, and it ended up being one of my favorite hour of the whole trip. The studio is tucked away from all the noise outside, really calm and welcoming, and the host walked me through everything at my own pace. You get to pick your wood (loved that there were so many options, not just the basic one), shape it with a hand plane, sand it down, then oil it until it's smooth and shiny. It's a proper hands on class too, not one of those where someone else does the hard part for you. By the end you're holding a pair of chopsticks you made with your own hands. No experience needed at all, total beginners are fine, and honestly it beats any souvenir you'd buy in a shop because you can say you made it yourself. Do it early in your trip so you get more use out of them while you're there!
Amazing experience! Additional costs for higher quality wood, and engraving - optional which was so perfect. We went for a no extra cost wood and 2 x engraving which made our experience so worth while. We spent 45 minutes which was great. The staff were super helpful and guided us through the process while also letting us relax and do it ourselves. The view is also amazing!

One of the best expirences I did in japan! The workers are so kind and helpful, they helped me understand and even tho we were students they showed me the instructions every time I needed help 😄 I believe that the instructions were clear and that the steps was easy to understand and follow. So Thankful and happy! The work took me around 80 minutes. And it was so organized and not overly crowded. The calm atmosphere made it even more enjoyable. Before starting the workshop, you simply choose the type of wood you would like to use. If you choose a more fancy or exotic wood, there is an additional fee depending on the material. The staff then guide you through the process of hashi-tsukuri (making your own chopsticks), with explanations in either English or Japanese. The whole experience is relaxed and enjoyable, and you get to take home a pair of chopsticks that you made yourself. It’s a nice little activity to try if you’re looking for something different to do in Kabukicho, especially if you want to spend an hour away from the usual sighseeing spots. しながら、楽しくてリーズナブルな1時間を過ごしたいなら、歌舞伎町の箸作りワークショップがおすすめです。 ワークショップを始める前に、まず自分が使いたい木材の種類を選びます。高級な木材や珍しい木材を選ぶ場合は、素材に応じて追加料金がかかります。 その後、スタッフの方が箸作り（箸づくり）の工程を丁寧に案内してくれます。説明は英語または日本語で受けることができるので、日本語があまり話せなくても安心です。 全体的にとてもリラックスした雰囲気で、自分で作った箸を持ち帰ることができます。歌舞伎町で普段の観光とは少し違った体験をしてみたい方や、1時間ほどゆっくり過ごしたい方にぴったりのアクティビティだと思います
This was an amazing experience! The booking fee was reasonable, and the price for the chopsticks was reasonable too. It was cool to choose what type of wood we wanted to use! The process takes about 1.5 hours from start to finish, depending on how fast you shape your chopsticks. The place was clean and not crowded, and the staff were super helpful and kind! This is a great experience for all ages!

Fantastic experience. Everyone here was extremely helpful, their instructions were very simple and clear and helped my brother and I make 6 total sets very efficiently. All of the prices seemed very reasonable to me and one hour was plenty of time to make a set each, it took an hour and a half to do 3 sets on my own. Cannot recommend them enough, this shop was phenomenal!!!
We decided to do this on a whim and they were able to accommodate us immediately. Even told us how to get a discount coupon! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.
