Tokyo Castle & Imperial Palace - Shogun Walking Tour

Miho is a great guide who has shown us the imperial part of Tokyo with a wonderful smile! :-)

The tour was a really good use of a couple of hours to see the lovely gardens and old castle area. Standing on the base where the castle used to be gave a great feeling of its previous size and also a view of the city. Miho was a very good guide.

Keiko was an excellent guide. She brought us around at a steady pace, and made sure to have everyone within earshot to start giving historical information. The grounds and the garden were absolutely beautiful, sabashi! The gardens were so calming, intentional planting, and Keiko did a magnificent job giving the history of how the area changed. She answered all questions, and was ready to give any insight she said. She was very personable, and also asked me about my personal interests. We had a chat about anime. She was the sweetest; I would immediately take a tour with her again.

We had an amazing time with Koo! He explained everything very well and he even pointed out all the best spots to take pictures! We would gladly book a tour with him again.

I wound up having a private tour and was able to have a most informative and enjoyable discussion with my guide ranging from history af the grounds, the Imperial family, and tips on touring Tokyo as well.

it was originally a small group but no one showed so it became a private tour, yay for me! Kodai met me in front of Starbucks (easy to find location) and we walked around and he shared so much information about the history and palace. He shared so many little known and fun facts, it was really informative and fun. I had a great time. Recommend!

We had a Great Time visiting the emperors Palace with our wonderful Guide Ryoko. She is well informed about the Japanese history and has very Advanced English skills. We thank her a lot for the tour she gave us.

This was a great walking tour - our guide, Kaz, took us around to all the key places in the gardens, had great history insights, and pointed out things I would have missed had I gone by myself or relied only on guide signs. The group size was great as well, reasonably small, which made the tour easy and quick. It is worth noting that this tour only goes to the Imperial palace gardens, but the Imperial Palace from Edo times has long been destroyed, except a few places which remain (which this tour gets to most of).

The Imperial Palace tour was the very first tour we did during our visit to Tokyo, and despite packing an incredible amount into our trip, it remains one of the highlights. Our guide, Sena, was fantastic—friendly, calm, knowledgeable, and engaging throughout. She brought the history and significance of the Imperial Palace to life in a way that was both informative and enjoyable. Sena's warm personality made the experience fun and memorable, and we'd highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tokyo.
