Tokyo By Night Photography Tour (Private Option Available)

We had an excellent tour and photoshoot with Yuto. He made the experience memorable and made us very comfortable getting our photo taken. The turnaround time for the edits was so fast! We are so happy with the results. It was well worth the price. Highly recommend this tour and Yuto!

Yuto was very nice and made it natural to take the photos. As a solo traveler, it can be hard to get good photo but this is totally worth the money!!

This photo tour is a 10/10 experience, not only will you learn about Shinjuku’s rich history and get to walk the streets with a local, but you’ll get amazing photos taken of yourself that you can later post on instagram or print at home! Gota was our tour guide and from the beginning he was welcoming, warm, and a pleasure to spend time with. We started with drinks at a local bar, then proceeded to walk about 3 kilometers and Gota took pictures along the way (very creative pictures) with his professional camera. I would one hundred percent recommend.

We had a wonderful experience with Gato-san! He was friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience enjoyable and interesting, despite the rain. His positive attitude and knowledge really made a difference, and he ensured we had a great time even with the weather working against us. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a memorable photography experience!

Yuto was a fantastic guide. We went to many different photo areas and were able to choose “styles” we were interested in. We are looking forward to seeing the final photos. We would highly recommend this tour, especially for the memories.

The tour was so worth it. Mr. Yuto will help you bring out the best angle of you. The experience was natural and easy without compromising the results. No awkward pose even in the presence of people. We had a fantastic night out with Gota-san learning about and taking photos in the nooks and crannies of Shinjuku. He met us promptly at the starting point and clearly explained the process and the progress of the evening. Gota-san made us feel comfortable with pose and position suggestions, and also provided us with nice context about the shoot locations. The end photos were great and sent very promptly!

We had an unforgettable time strolling through places in Tokyo we would never find without a guide, learned a lot about Japan, had fun... and got some really good pictures after a couple of days. Friday is a lovely person, a very good photographer and guide!

We loved our tour with Gota! He was an excellent guide and had wonderful energy. He told us a lot about the different neighborhoods of Tokyo and answered our questions about the city and local culture. He was an excellent photographer and walked us through different poses to help us get the most out of our photos. He was prompt in sending the pictures when he said he would. We’re very happy we chose this experience. We also loved the small tour size!

Joining this photoshoot tour as a solo traveler was hands down one of the best decisions of my trip! I was a bit nervous about being in front of the camera alone, but the photographer made me feel super comfortable right from the start. They knew all the best angles and hidden spots. I received high-quality, cinematic photos that I could never have taken myself with a tripod or selfie stick. Highly recommended for anyone traveling solo!

Gota-san was extremely fun to work with. Gota-san took incredible photos with his own equipment and constantly made us laugh, making it a fun and comfortable environment. Gota-san even ended the night by walking the extra distance to show us a favorite ramen spot. We really liked working with Gota-san and absolutely will work with him the next time we come back to Tokyo!!!

This was an incredible experience. I did a Mommy and Me trip with my two daughters (aged 5 and 8). We worked with Friday and he took stunning photos of the kids with gorgeous backdrops. I think part of the reason he got such great photos is because he talked to all of us about the shoot at a nearby restaurant, where we had a drink. He really connected with the children. He was also patient when they were tired and adapted to our needs. I would highly recommend this!

Goya was one of the most amazing tour guides I have ever had . My pictures look AMAZING !!!!! . Also , there was scheduling issues with weather and other tours I had to do and he did everything to accommodate the issue . He knows his facts and would highly recommend.

Gota-san was very knowledgeable throughout the tour and taught me various facts about the city along the stops. The photos were fantastic, and definitely good to show others. Gota-San was good at directing my photos, as I had never done a photoshoot before. I’d recommend this tour if you’re looking for a nice chill easy way to get some really good photos and learn about the city along the way!

Incredible experience!! Gota did an amazing job of setting up the shot, so even if you’re a little awkward in front of the camera you’re told how to pose and where to stand. The edited pictures were sent the next day! Also functions as mini tour of Shinjuku. Incredible tour especially for what you pay.

Our photographer Gota was super nice! He took great photos of our family and our baby. I was worried about how cranky she was going to be due to the jet lag, but Gota was incredibly patient and mindful.

Yuto was awesome - Our photos are great and were delivered via email very quickly. Unfortunately we got lost and ran a few minutes late but he was super kind and it set the tone for a great night! We would definately recommend this activity.

Gota has been great - I had a wonderful time at this photoshoot tour. I was looking for smth educational, but also with professional photos - and I'm so glad I found this tour because there were either only walking tours, or only photoshoot - and this one harmoniously combined both. Gota was very nice, polite, and offered nice spots and poses for photos. I got beautifully edited photos afterwards. This evening tour was a great addition to the regular day tours for first-time in Japan.

Super fun!! Ryuma, was great. He first stopped and we got something to drink and talked about what kind of shoot I wanted then we went on the shoot. You get a two in one (a tour and a photoshoot). The photos came out great and I learned so much about Japan in the process. He also didn’t rush the process! Would do it again if I ever have an opportunity to go back to Japan.

Great walking tour. Many tips! Wear comfy shoes. If you are not into having pictures taken, this may not be your tour.

My photo experience in Tokyo completely exceeded my expectations. Mai was incredibly kind to me from the very beginning; it wasn’t just about taking pictures, but about living a much deeper and more meaningful experience. Thanks to her, I was able to learn more about Japanese customs and traditions, and even understand better how people have fun and enjoy their culture. This experience was the perfect way to close my trip, as I felt I finally connected with aspects of Japan that I hadn’t been able to discover on my own. Mai made everything feel so natural, like we were longtime friends, which made the experience even more special. And on top of that, the photos turned out amazing—high quality and full of authentic moments. I highly recommend it!

Really loved our experience with Gota San. Perfect timing and great pictures. Plus it’s a pleasure to walk around in Tokyo at night with someone who speaks great English and lets you know the small details!

Unfortunately it rained most of the evening so we had to alter the originally planned sites, however we still managed to capture some lovely family photographs. Great experience and wonderful photos.

The photography night tour with Gota was a fantastic experience, especially for solo travellers. Gota was extremely knowledgeable and he captured some beautiful images. The Shibuya Scamble dash was fun! Gota was very kind to help me navigate the Shinjuku Station at the end of the tour too.

Yuto made my Tokyo by night photography tour such a fun and memorable experience. We walked around Shinjuku and he took the most amazing photos of me in all these cool, hidden spots I never would’ve found on my own. He knows the area so well and brought me to little alleys, neon-lit streets, and unique corners that really captured the Tokyo night vibe. He made me feel super comfortable in front of the camera and gave great direction. I’m so happy with how the photos turned out and Yuto sent the final photos so quickly. I would highly recommend this experience with Yuto for anyone visiting Tokyo!

I recently went on a night photography tour around Shinjuku with Ran, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Shinjuku is already a vibrant and dynamic part of Tokyo, but seeing it through the lens at night made it feel even more alive—and Ran knew exactly how to bring that out. Ran was not only knowledgeable about photography techniques but also very familiar with the best hidden spots.

It was a great experience, and Gota-san was very considerate and professional. He was willing to reschedule due to the rain, but unfortunately I was not available on any other day. Despite the bad weather, he did his best and my experience was fabulous. We made many stops and he was very focused on taking the best pictures he could. He also told me lots of interesting information about cultural buildings and places that I would have missed as a first-time traveller to Japan. I am so happy with this photo shoot and would fully recommend it.

Gota-san with Magical Trip was wonderful! He was very friendly, fun to talk to, professional, and had pose ideas that made this experience unforgettable. He was prepared with a map showing the locations for the photo shoot. Each of the locations had an amazing atmosphere and he gave background information on all the places visited. I loved going to Kabuki-cho and of course the Shibuya Scramble. Gota even had a graphic explaining the strategy to get the best photo at the Shibuya crossing. He was very timely with sending the photos and the photos were incredible! I would book with Gota-san again!

It was a special opportunity as a solo traveller to have photos of myself taken in icon Shinjuku settings by a professional photography. I also got to see areas I probably would not have visited. Friday was a lovely guy and made me feel relaxed about posing , he provided many varied places to do the shots in.
