The people are very nice, helpful, kind and patient. It was my second time there and it was just as nice as the first time. I came for my birthday in March and wanted my family to experience it and they too enjoyed the experience.

It was wonderful from beginning to end. The Kimonos fit perfectly. The staff was amazing, they help you get dressed and do your hair so beautifully. The location was near the Senso ji temple and all the shopping. We had a great experience.

We LOVED this experience! The ladies that got us ready for the photoshoot were so skilled and professionial. Our photographer was amazing and even took family pictures with members of our family not participating in dressing up.

This was the highlight of our trip. The location is perfect. It is right outside of the Asakusa train station. There are a lot of restaurants around. You can go get massages around and it was only three blocks from the iconic gate temple and shrine. There were several kimono rentals in the area, but our look the best of all the ones that we saw. The staff took great care of us and dressed us. It takes about an hour to get dressed, including your hair. They were very patient and allowed you to pick out several and try on so you can ensure that you found the perfect kimono. This is an all day rental so the earlier you make your appointment the longer you get to wear it it comes with shoe socks, a purse, and a kimono, and for men, it comes with socks, shoes, and a kimono. I bought my socks in advance because I just wanted my own socks.

Wearing the kimono was a great experience. The ladies assisted us in selecting the right kimonos and hairstyle was amazing. Jang Jang is a professional photographer. She took a lot of wonderful pictures and very excited to see them in a few days. We highly recommend this tour!

The ladies who helped us with the kimono’s were lovely and kind, and my wife and daughter looked amazing after they did their hair. They also helped us organise a rickshaw to take us on a tour, which was a great way to travel around. The kimono’s were great quality and it was a really fun experience.

This was a great experience in the Asakusa area. While there were several kimono rental places in the area (I purchased before going), I believe this experience was a memorable one as well. I traveled with my daughter and she loved it. The photographer was professional and the ladies at the kimono rental place were great. They helped us match kimonos with the various pieces of the attire to create a nice look! I’m def glad I had this one in the books! Nearby tourist temple was a plaid as well. It was a short walk from the rental place.

We had such a wonderful experience with the kimono rental and photoshoot team! From helping us get dressed and settled into our kimonos to coordinating photos for me, my fiancé, and our friends, everyone was incredibly efficient, organized, and helpful throughout the entire experience. What made this experience even more special was that I got proposed to during the photoshoot! 💍❤️ The team was in on the surprise and helped make such a special moment even more magical and memorable. I’m so grateful everyone played a part in making it happen! The photos turned out absolutely lovely, and we received them within a very reasonable timeframe. I truly appreciate the entire team’s kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail in capturing these memories for us. Thank you all for helping us create such beautiful memories in Japan! This was the highlight of our time in Tokyo. The experience says 2.5h, but it took less than 1h to get my mom and me dressed and hair styled, then we were off to a 30 minute photo shoot by the temple. We saw lots of other places in the area that provided similar services, maybe some of them were priced more competitively, but our kimono and hair looked fantastic, especially in comparison to other tourists we saw. They also had a variety of sizes to accommodate any body. Our Photographer communicated well in English, asked us about the style of poses we wanted, and showed us our shots before moving on to the next set. In about a week we will get 50 photos that he took, and then we'll be able to mark 9 we want retouched, and they will be returned in another couple weeks. We are hoping the turn around is fast enough we can get some printed on postcards at 7-11 to send home.

This was by far one of the best experiences my daughter's got to do. It was such a unique authentic experience to the point after they got dressed and took pictures, we paid extra to return the Kimono' the next day so they could walk the streets of Tokyo dressed up. They got so many compliments on how authentic they looked. The pictures came out amazing,our photographer did an excellent job picking out spots with literally nobody in the background ( except when we went to the temple but that was definitely expected to be crowded but definitely still got wonderful pictures) and posed them so beautifully. I cant recommend this place enough. The experience was a 10/10 from the time we walked into the place to the time it was done. The workers spoke wonderful English as well.

This is a must when you visit Japan! I loved wearing the traditional attire and being fully invested in the culture and experience is worth it!

The whole experience was 5 stars! Very lovely ladies welcomed me in and explained everything! Very knowledgeable and very friendly. Clean facilities and the the photographer was phenomenal! I highly recommend! Very easy to find ! Definitely plan to return and highly recommend!

This was an amazing experience. The women helping pick the kimonos, getting you dressed and doing hair were all fabulous. Everyone was so nice. It is a very efficient process. Location a few minute walk from temple for photos. We took our own photos. We also wore our tennis shoes out and back but changed to the wooden flip flops for photos. I would highly recommend doing this.

I'd say this one of the best things we spent our money on when visiting Tokyo. Inside their air conditioned studio, we were shown a big selection of kimonos and accessories to choose from and they helped our family coordinate colors so that our pictures would turn out amazing. And they did! They privately helped you get dressed and gave several options for hairstyles. The photographer accompanied us on a short walk to Senso-Ji and knew all of the best spots to take pictures. We received 50+ pictures by email less than a week later and chose 12 to be edited and resent to us. My entire family felt this was beyond worth the money and have fantastic pictures reminding us of our time in Tokyo.

This experience is almost ceremonial in nature. The ladies were all extremely helpful throughout the preparations and the photographer was fun to work with as well. We booked the outside photography session and our photographer toured us around several shrines in the area for pictures. If you have time and want a unique experience, I highly recommend this service with photographer.

The kimono rental and photo shoot experience was wonderful and exciting! There were many beautiful kimonos to choose from, and as a plus-size woman (3X), I really appreciated how helpful the staff was throughout the entire process. The hair design was stunning, and the photographer, Tomokazu, was absolutely amazing—he knew exactly how to pose me and picked great locations for the shoot. There were also many opportunities to take pictures with props, which made it even more fun. The location was easy to find, and there were options to buy food and cool souvenirs nearby. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish!

It was a wonderful experience and we cannot wait to see the photos. Be aware that the kimono dressing is authentic meaning it is quite tight around your center like a girdle so be aware as you walk around afterwards. I would have opted for tennis shoes instead of slippers as well if you do not mind taking pics in shoes. Our photographer Three was great and we really enjoyed his company! Everyone is so friendly at the location where multiple languages are spoken. Would consider upgrading to premium kimono next time since the designs and fabric look amazing.

From the second I entered the doors, everyone was super helpful! They had a great flow, plan, and executed! It seems every detail was thought of! The staff was super friendly and attentive, and I opted for the photo session! After a short walk with my photographer, we made it over to the temple/shrine area for some awesome pictures! My photographer was super nice, very kind and had a plan for every pose, none of that awkward standing around! I’m waiting for the pics to come back but I couldn’t be more excited to see them!

Our kimono photoshoot was very good! We were able to select our kimonos from their wide variety of colorful outfits. Additionally, they were ideally located near Senso-ji, within walking distance of the temples and shrines which are excellent backdrops for our photographs. Our photographer Yuki took many different photos of us at Senso-ji and we were very satisfied with the results. A terrific way to preserve our memories of our visit to Tokyo.

This is the best studio for a Japanese experience for photography and kimono experience. They fit each person properly with a wonderful scope of choices. I was surprised to find quality fitters and photographers here. I highly recommend this studio for Japanese style photo experiences. They offer a variety of settings with top photographers. Exceptional experience!

Must do! Highlight of the trip! They give you extra time to wear the kimono so no need to do the temples in Asakusa separately. Do them in the kimono! My husband is 6’4” and they were also able to accommodate him! Super amazing experience.

I’ve done kimono rental before but this is the best one. The staff were so friendly and let us try on as many different kimono as I wanted. They were also helpful in suggesting what look best and spoke excellent English. A magical day.

My husband and I felt very Kawaii!! In all seriousness, this experience was a genuinely amazing opportunity to experience what it is like to wear traditional kimonos. All the staff were lovely and extremely helpful, especially our photographer. We cannot recommend this experience enough!!!

This was an amazing experience. The women dressed me in a kimono of my choice; so many beautiful colors and patterns. They were very kind, efficient and I could tell they loved their work. After they dressed me, I had my hair done with accessories. My sons and boyfriend were dressed very handsomely. Luke was our photographer. He was very friendly, talented and personable. He took a large variety of photos with different outdoor backgrounds, poses, etc. He emailed us the preliminary photos before we even left Tokyo. Highly highly recommend this!! Great cultural event to do with friends and family!!

I would highly recommend Yae Kimono rental! I had an incredible time as the staff were extremely friendly and professional and provided amazing service. There was no barrier to communication since the staff spoke many languages, including English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Japanese. They helped me choose a kimono from the extensive selection of kimonos available, and I ended up picking one that I loved. I felt extremely comfortable throughout the entire process of picking and wearing the kimono, as well as hair and make-up, even as someone who doesn’t dress up or wear make up often. In addition to renting the kimono, I also tried their photo service, which was equally exceptional! The photographer was fantastic: he was funny and patient, brought me to spots that I wouldn’t have discovered on my own, and showed me various poses that yielded spectacular results. All in all, I would greatly recommend Yae Kimono rental if you are looking to try on a kimono, or have a cultural experience in Japan, or even just to take some fabulous photos to post online!

I felt beautiful, they made me beautiful. They were amazing and I took the kimono all the way to shibuya. Note this is 30-40 min away from shibuya better if you book an earlier time you will get to keep it for longer
