We enjoyed our rickshaw tour of Asakusa immensely! This was actually our second experience with Ebisuya, having also taken a rickshaw tour in Kyoto, and both were exceptional. This company is clearly doing something right. Their rickshaw drivers are not only incredibly athletic, but also warm, personable, and remarkably knowledgeable about the areas they show you. Both of our guides turned what could have been a simple sightseeing ride into a fun, engaging, and genuinely interesting cultural experience. Exploring Asakusa by rickshaw was a delightful way to see the neighborhood and learn about its history and traditions. We thoroughly enjoyed both experiences and would happily recommend Ebisuya to anyone visiting Japan.

So much fun! The guys are very informative and funny not just strong legs! Took us to few interesting historical sites. Took photos. Made it a great experience. We did the half hour ride. They refused tips.
The tour was great. Our tour guide Koko made the tour special giving us good information about the culture and history. Recommend this tour to start your travels in Tokyo.
What a wonderful experience. Our guide Issy was funny and very accommodating.
Outstanding for the experience and value. My wife and I enjoyed the time we spent riding in a traditional rickshaw in the Asakusa area of Tokyo. We even had our photo taken.
This was so fun my first day Japan I wanted to site see and this was the best way to do it. The guys were all great
Great fun super interesting great fun love our guide
If you’re thinking about taking a rickshaw tour in Asakusa, ask for Diego. We had such a brilliant experience with him from start to finish. He was so friendly and easy to chat to that it felt like we were exploring the area with a local friend rather than being on a tour. His English was excellent, which made it easy to ask questions, and he shared some really interesting stories and insights about Asakusa that we would never have discovered on our own. He also took some fantastic photographs for us along the way. He knew all the best spots and made sure we came away with memories we’ll genuinely treasure, not just the usual quick holiday snaps. The tour was relaxed, fun and full of little details that made us appreciate the area even more. Diego has a great personality and genuinely enjoys meeting people, which really comes across. One of our favourite moments was teaching him the Irish word “craic”. Hopefully he’s adding it to every tour now because he definitely brought plenty of it himself! Thank you, Diego, for making our visit so memorable. You’re a credit to the team and we’ll be recommending you to anyone visiting Tokyo.
I absolutely loved this tour! Not only was our guide Ryota very informative, but also an amazing photographer! We truly enjoyed the time we shared going around in Asakusa.
What an awesome experience! Our guides were Sho and Kobe and they were highly engaging and made this experience so wonderful. Our rickshaw tour through Asakusa was a highlight of the trip.
Best way to see Asakusa and save your feet! Guide was fresh and fun and took photos with enthusiasm.
We had the most wonderful experience on our tour of Asakusa! Our tour guide, Ryota, was friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and he made sure we were comfortable during the ride. We saw all of the popular sights and got to see some amazing lesser known attractions as well. Being in the covered rickshaw during a sunny day made the experience very pleasant. Highly recommend this tour!
The rickshaw tour was quite enjoyable. We saw all of Asakusa and most of all Kaiya was a fantastic guide - knowledgeable, funny, energetic, fluent in American English and eager to please.
A very fun tour & our guides were very friendly, entertaining & knowledgeable. They went over & above to help my partner, who is in a wheelchair, so he was able to enjoy this tour to the max.
Diego did a wonderful job. ❤️ I loved that he spoke English. I loved the history of Tokyo that I recieved
We did 70 min ride with Thomas. He was knowledgeable & professional. He stopped for us at a sweet shop that you wouldn’t normally come across so we could buy to try. Yumm supa delicious.
Awesome guide, spoke great English, fun tour, chance to meet a local :) Highly recommend taking a 1h tour!
Itaru our Rickshaw guide was excellent and an amazing photographer. He was very knowledgeable and spoke good English. Highly recommend this tour.
We are a family of four including two teenagers, and we had two rickshaws, one operated by Itaru and the other operated by Sho. This was so much fun and I would highly recommend it! Even though it was raining, we were pretty well-protected under the rickshaws’ hoods and rain covers, and there were also warm blankets. We saw a lot of sights in Asakusa and got a lot of interesting info along by the way, as well as many great pictures. I am glad we did this.
Ryo and Taka where the most awesome drivers and guides. This has been a true highlight of our time in Tokyo.
We found Ebisuya just walking down the street to Sensō-ji temple. Tatsuya gave us a wonderful tour through some of the old shops near the temple and we had fun conversation the whole tour.
Ryota was a very good driver and tour guide! We originally weren't planning to ride the rickshaw ride but he was very convincing. We did the 30 minute ride on Asakusa and enjoyed every bit of it. He went above and beyond our expectations and the ride helped put our 3 year old to sleep so we were able to sit back and relax. He even took great pictures of us, and showed us the spots that were inspirations for Demon Slayer. Because of him, we ended up riding two more Rickshaw rides during our trip-- one in Gion and one in Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. Overall we were very happy and would do it again!
Had a fabulous 70 minute tour with our rickshaw driver Reo. He told us interesting things about the area while pulling us around in comfort. He had the happiest smile!
This was an awesome experience. Masa was friendly and knowledgeable We both really enjoyed it and I would definitely recommend to someone going to Tokyo!
A fun introduction to the Asakusa temple area. Ryu our Rickahaw driver did a great job cheerfully providing information and horsepower. Would recommend.
Kai was our tour guide, and he was amazing. He made sure to ask what we wanted to see and made some suggestions on how to go about the rickshaw experience. He was very considerate to take pictures for us, and spent enough time on the different stops to ensure that we enjoyed the experience. Kai was very friendly and accomodating. i highly recommend this tour, and our tour guide.
This is an amazing experience!!! Everyone must do this when they visit Tokyo. We had 2 rickshaws (for 4 people) that travelled together. Our guides (Natsumi and Yusuke) took us around the sites and stopped to explain their significance. They were very friendly and funny too!
Shima and Matcha were amazing. Funny and super knowledgeable. My teens loved it as a rest period from walking
An amazing experience! Riding in a rickshaw with a wonderful young lady driver offers a fresh and unique perspective of Asakusa. Her enthusiasm, warm personality, and deep knowledge of local culture bring the area's landmarks and hidden backstreets to life. With plenty of great photo opportunities along the way, this memorable ride is well worth the price.
KANSUKE was fantastic. Full of personality, facts, caring and kind. Can't recommend this tour enough. We saw many temples, first bar in Tokyo, the baths and so much more. It was a memory we will never forget.
The person handling us was soooooo nice, thoughtful, kind & knowledgeable while doing his work. My daughter enjoys his company.
We had a great day riding on the rickshaw with Yusuke from Ebisuya Rickshaw Tours. He was fun and entertaining and told us many stories and facts about the sites we saw in Asakusa. Great experience that I would recommend.
Best guide and tour ever ! Taru was great and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed spending the day with him he spoke English great which was great
Informative, fun, and adaptable. Yusuke was a hoot! He spoke great English and took great pictures of us!
Asakusa Goemon Rickshaw aims to bring smiles to customers and create memorable experiences through its tourist rickshaw service in Asakusa and around the Tokyo Skytree, where traditional culture thrives. 浅草五ェ衛門人力車は、伝統文化が息づく東京・浅草や東京スカイツリー周辺で、観光人力車サービスを通じて一人でも多くのお客様に笑顔と思い出に残る体験をしていただけるよう努めています。 I enjoyed the Asakusa Goemon Rickshaw tour by myself. The rickshaw driver was very knowledgeable about the history of the Asakusa area and was a friendly, attractive individual. 浅草五ェ衛門人力車ツアーを一人で楽しみました。人力車の運転手さんは浅草の歴史にとても詳しく、フレンドリーで魅力的な方でした。 I would certainly ride again in the near future. 近い将来にまた必ず乗りたいと思っています。
Nice way to get an overview of the area! Relaxing & the guide is informative, pointing out interesting places & antidotes.
This was a great experience exploring Asakusa's hidden gems. Our rickshaw driver, Gene, was gracious and knowledgeable.
Fabulous experience. Rei was our driver, he was funny and informative and made it a memorable trip. Thoroughly recommend.
Super fun way to see some Tokyo Highlights for sure. Our first day in Tokyo after traveling 16 hours the day before and we decided to book a 90 minute ride. Our guide was Masa and he was very knowledgable, high energy and also a great phot taker. He shared some history, cultural stories and walked us through the the protocol and history of the Temples we visited. Highly recommend this company as you can see their reviews speak for all their guides. Thank you again Masa!
Best tour experience. Temple tour side light was great. Learned so much about the culture. Guide very friendly and knowledgeable.
Do yourself a fav and do this rickshaw tour. The three guides were fabulous super friendly and full of information. I can’t rate this highly enough unlike the Mario cart tour where the guy who wasn’t Japanese made it difficult at every turn a total rip off!
We had a tour with 2 Rickshaws both our drivers were very knowledgeable and had lots of energy and enthusiasm. It was a fun amazing experience. Highly recommend. Great job to Kate and Shohei our 2 strong drivers!!
The gudes were nice and very informative. We had a great time riding through the streets of Asakusa Japan.
Really cool ! Enjoyed the sites and the banter. Guide totally into it. Whole family involved with plenty of laughs and education. Thanks
Very smooth ride with Hoshino Takumi san. Took many great photos and was very entertaining throughout the trip. 45 minutes is a good length, but 1 hour also seems like a good length!
We loved our 90-minute ride with Buchi! As first-time travelers to Japan, we didn't know much about the area so Buchi gave us a quick overview of the significance of Asakusa within the context of Japan's history. He taught us a few Japanese phrases and took awesome photos at the best spots! This was a great way to spend our first morning in Tokyo! Thanks Buchi! They also have lots of room for walk ups and can customize the length of your ride to hit the spots you are interested in.
Best experience ever. Great job! Thank you Issy! You are very friendly, knowledgeable and entertained. We had great time and enjoyed. It was a pleasure and a lot of fun.
We had a blast touring the finer parts of Asakusa with Issy. He was energetic and so knowledgeable. We appreciated his photography talents. Would book another ride with him in a heartbeat!
Our tour with Shima and Eike was awesome! Even though there was a local festival going on and it was pouring rain, they made the tour interesting and fun! They were funny and we learned a lot too. Would definitely recommend!
Such a great way to cover this very busy area. Our guide, Suyuke, was just a stitch! So funny, knowledgeable, and super personable. He is one strong dude. He suggested a delicious local lunch spot for after our tour.
