Tokyo’s Must-sees: 5-hour Tsukiji, Akihabara & Asakusa Tour

Masae was extremely helpful from the start. She assessed our age and adjusted the pace of the tour to ensure we completed the tour and enjoyed it. It was obvious from the start that she had done her homework regarding historical facts and legend. Masae answered all questions honestly. We would very highly recommend her as a tour guide.

Yuki did a great job. I love how he is a anime fan as well. He took great pictures of us, but what I liked the most is his willingness to help others. A man fainted on the street. He noticed that one person was missing out of his group and he saw me and this lady trying to help this man. Immediately he came over to help us. This team work saved this man for he had stopped breathing. I appreciate him staying alert and noticing someone was missing in the group. I give Yuki 10/10 because a life was saved that day. Your life is about to change. I pray good things follow you for the rest of your life for you put others before yourself!

Massachusetts was an incredible tour guide! This highlights tour was very educational and entertaining. We learned so much about the history of Japan. He made it very easy to commute and was considerate from beginning to finish. He brought us to places we would have never been in before like Super Potato arcade. Until today, we were feeling overwhelmed being dropped in the middle of Tokyo as first timers in Japan. Yuki guided us through various bustling and exciting areas, whilst along the way sharing with us his extensive knowledge of the city (and many other places), making us feel comfortable and relaxed to take on the metropolis. Naoki was fantastic! He gave us so much personal attention, so many fun things like playing retro games, getting our fortunes told, a very nice and educational lunch. We not only learned a lot of interesting things but had a ball doing it! He had a notebook full of answers to frequently asked questions, and he continuously gave us tips on how and where to shop, eat, drink and be entertained. We would highly recommend him!

We had an absolutely fantastic day exploring Tokyo with Ken as our guide. From the moment we met, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful—especially when it came to navigating Tokyo’s train system, which made a huge difference to our confidence getting around. Our tour began at the vibrant Tsukiji Outer Market, where Ken guided us through the maze of over 400 stalls. The atmosphere was electric, and thanks to his local knowledge, we got to try some amazing treats—including pink strawberry mochi, fresh tuna sashimi (which I loved, even if my husband gave it a miss!), and a delicious egg omelette on a stick. We then made our way to Akihabara, where Ken showed us the quirky and nostalgic side of Tokyo. The retro gaming museum was a real highlight—so much so that we’re now regretting throwing out our kids’ old Gameboys! Next stop was Sensō-ji in Asakusa, the oldest temple in Tokyo. Ken shared fascinating insights into its history and traditions, which really added depth to the experience. We finished the day with a traditional Japanese lunch, rounding out a perfect mix of culture, food, and fun. Ken truly made the day special. His passion for Tokyo, attention to detail, and ability to tailor the experience to us made it one of the highlights of our trip. We would highly recommend him to anyone wanting an authentic and enjoyable introduction to Tokyo.

We had booked the “Tokyo’s Must-Sees: 5-Hour Tsukiji, Akihabara, and Asakusa Tour” and had a wonderful time in Tokyo as a result. The group consisted of a comfortable total of 7 people, including our tour guide, Yuki. First, we visited the fish market in Tsukiji, where we were well taken care of in terms of food. A particular highlight was the fresh sashimi. Afterward, we visited the tech district of Akihabara, where we, as anime fans, definitely got our money’s worth. Finally, we were able to get another glimpse into the cultural and religious side of Tokyo in Asakusa. There, to wrap up the tour, Yuki treated us to a delicious meal. After the tour ended, the three of us went back to Akihabara, where Yuki once again gave us excellent advice on choosing the best merchandise shops. Our tour with Yuki from Magical Tours was wonderful. He took the time to cater the experience to our preferences throughout the tour. We got to try various food and sake items at the market and he brought us to shops out of the beaten path for unique Japanese made products. Lunch included was also very good. The tour and Yuki guiding was a delightful experience!

It was quite fun! super fun with Ken. He was quite fast while walking and efficient.

I ended up being the only one on the tour but Alice was fantastic! She was keen to understand my interests to cater the tour how I wanted. We covered everything in the itinerary and because it was just me, we also had time to fit in some extra visits I wouldn’t have otherwise known about. The lunch at Beef Professional was also stellar and was a restaurant not on my radar, so really happy we got to go there. Cannot recommend enough

To top it all off, a meal was provided at the end of the tour, which was such a nice touch and a perfect way to finish the experience. A perfect way to spend the day exploring Japanese food and culture. The fish market was fascinating, food so tasty and a must see in Tokyo. Learning about Magna, Anima was insightful and enjoyable, and the Sensoji Temple is beautiful. Tour guide Molly was sensational in every way, so knowledgeable, and we had the most magnificent Wagu lunch. We highly recommend this tour!
