We had the most amazing meal in this restaurant.. the service was exceptional from Marijo! This business is so lucky to have members of the team like Marijo as he was so knowledgeable on places to visit and it was obvious that he really enjoyed his job and made our evening experience special and memorable! This restaurant is a must visit in Dubrovnik!

Itinerary
Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center: Here is more than just a tourist center. The observation terrace on the top floor overlooking the Asakusa city is one of the amazing spots. It's the only place in Asakusa where you can see the city from the top of the building.
Sensoji Temple: Sensoji is Tokyo's oldest temple with the large red lanterns that have become the symbol of Asakusa. The gorgeous red buildings are worth seeing and the temple is a famous sightseeing place where a majority of people visit when they come to Tokyo. On the way to the main temple at Nakamise street, you will find a variety of stores that sell souvenirs found only in Japan. The area is always crowded with people, no matter the season.
Asakusa Shrine: This shrine is famous for one of the three major Japanese festivals in Tokyo: Sanja Matsuri. Shrines and temples are different religious institutions, but the Asakusa Shrine has a strong connection to Sensoji Temple. Enjoy the story of Sensoji and the Asakusa Shrine!
Asakusa Nishi-Sando Shopping Street: Asakusa Nishi-Sando Shopping Street is lined with festival-themed decorations and shops, and is a place where Japanese tradition and tourism intersect, making it a popular place for tourists and locals alike.
Hoppy Street: The street with lots of restaurants, outdoor tables, and reasonably priced drinks. There are a lot of tourists walking along the street to enjoy the atmosphere. Many locals come here to enjoy a glass of sake and a snack.
Kappabashi Dogugai: This is a shopping district with many specialty shops selling knives, tableware, and other kitchen tools. It's a popular tourist spot where you can get professional kitchen knives and food samples, which are becoming more and more popular in Japanese culture. You'll find high-quality products made by craftsmen and a great souvenir!
GONPACHI: This is a handmade soba restaurant located at the foot of Azumabashi Bridge. The Sumida River and Sky Tree can be seen from the large windows inside the store, making it a perfect location to enjoy the scenery of Asakusa. Gluten-free options are also available.
Tokyo Sky Tree: It is the tallest building in Japan at 634 meters opened in 2012 (and known as the tallest tower in the world). There are a mall, aquarium, and office buildings around the tower. This tour will take you to the Sky Arena on the 4th floor for a spectacular view of the Sky Tree.
Tokyo Soramachi: Tokyo Solamachi is a commercial complex adjacent to Tokyo Skytree. Based on the concept of "new downtown style," it is comprised of many elements such as a shopping mall, entertainment, dining, and cultural experiences. You are sure to find the perfect Tokyo souvenir for you!

Yuki was a great guide, after some initial issues with the meeting point we had a lovely day. She arranged all the day around our likes & what we were not going to see later. We saw 2 shrines and a Temple and a famous shopping street for younger people. She also found us a really reasonable GF restaurant (sushi) which had lovely green tea at the table. We were delighted to have someone who knew the area and ordering system to guide us through- and she also gave us some extra hints and tips for using the underground system- which can be quite tricky to navigate at times.
Please specify subway station regarding meeting point. Our hotel directed our taxi to the train station when we gave them your meeting point address. Once we FINALLY connected - after much frustration, we had a good tour. We had also messaged you about getting tickets and what time for the Skytree tower. You never responded, so we purchased them for the end of the tour when they were supposed to have been part of our itinerary and purchased by our guide that morning. We did not find that out until we met with our guide. We have been on many Viator Tours, but this was the worst with regards to miscommunications.
Asakusa is definitely a Tokyo neighborhood that is worth seeing, but it will be very overwhelming without a guide. Our guide, Haruo, made everything perfect for our group of four adults. It was easy to find him at the subway station. He took us immediately to the Asakusa tourist building which has an observatory to get an aerial view of the the neighborhood. It would be important to meet him on time because he was able to get us up in the observatory before it got too crowded. After, we meandered through the crowded street of shops leading up to the Senso-ji Buddhist Temple. Haruo was patient with us as we stopped in a few shops. He explained some of the local culinary treats, some of the cultural items that were being sold in the shops and more. If there was something that you had a question about, he was happy to answer it. Haruo explained all the interesting facts about the Senso-ji, but most importantly, how to be there in a respectful manner and also explained the important rituals since this is an active Temple. He helped us to purchase pendants for protection and more. We then went to the Shinto Shrine and learned about the religious practices there. After, he took us into an enclosed street that had a variety of shops and games for people to try. We then headed to a part of town to see a street that sells culinary ware. I was looking for a Japanese knife, so we went into a few shops and eventually I purchased a nice one. We went for a wonderful soba noodle lunch overlooking the river and then headed to the Tokyo Skytree. Haruo offered to purchase our tickets in advance (WHICH IS A MUST DO! IT WILL SAVE YOU AN HOUR at least on a busy day!) and explained everything we were seeing. (Also - if you buy a knife, you'll need to lock it up in a locker before heading up the Skytree). Hauro also helped us find our subway platform since the Skytree mall is very large and busy. We had an amazing day and learned so much!
Macky is such a terrific guide. He is polite, kind and very affectionate. He planned a terrific day that took into account your needs. He took us to a great restaurant for lunch. Our trip was made better by having Macky as our host.
We had a fun day with Mackey. He was very kind to myself and my elderly father. We took breaks when needed. He also taught us a lot about culture, history and the local area. I would love to have him again.
We had a great time with Hinako! She helped us find good shopping spots and recommended great places to eat. We saw a lot in 1 day and it really helped us find our way in Tokyo. The tour had a good itinerary. I enjoyed the mix of sights and visiting small streets with local shopping.
Walt was the best tour guide. He was so knowledgeable. I learned so much about Japan and Buddhism. He took his time explaining everything. We covered a lot in one day
Walt was the best tour guide. He was very knowledgeable. I learned so much. I had a great time on this tour. You learn so much about Japan, Buddhism, and its history. All the sites were beautiful
Tetsu was responsive and prompt when we first met him. He was so friendly and easy to talk to. He had wonderful suggestions as well as being very flexible in what we wanted to do. We very much appreciated that he is a great listener and communicator. And of course he was amazingly informative. We had an awesome day with Tetsu and highly suggest his tour services. Thank you Tetsu!!
Mike was a wonderful guide and it was a pleasure to spend my first full day in Tokyo with him. We are explored the local area in depth, had a few laughs and I really learnt about the history of the area as well as the modern life here. I would happily recommend to other tourists to the area. It’s a great way to familiarise yourself with this part of Tokyo and Mike was great. Thank you.
Yuka (Suzuki) was our guide for this tour, and she did a fine job. She was knowledgeable about the areas we visited and her English skills were also pretty good! We used the local bus a couple of times to get around, and she escorted us to the Skytee which we appreciated. We saw some great sites, but I would suggest starting at Ueno Park, next to Senso ji, and ending up at Skytree. I think that's a more efficient route, and would reduce the amount of walking and/or time spent on the bus.
This was my first trip and day in Japan. Tetsu is an enthusiastic guide who oriented my family to the neighborhood, shops, and Japanese culture, and was very knowledgeable about the temple and shrine. Tetsu advised that there was a huge annual parade a 20 minute subway ride away outside Asakusa, and asked if we were interested. We said yes. It was a huge religious festival with music and dancing. Tetsu is very caring - the tour was booked for 4 hours but he stayed with us longer to accompany us back to the tour starting point near our hotel which required three subway transfers. We are glad he did! And he gave us his email address and invited us to ask questions - even about our next destination - Koyoto.
Tetsu was an excellent tour guide. He customized the tour to our interests. He was both knowledgeable and also very considerate to help us understand local customs as well as to help us navigate around Tokyo. Thank you Tetsu. You made the first day of our trip an A+!
The guide was friendly and helpful! Wonderful trip in all! The surrounding areas were also covered in the trip!
Ayaka was our tour guide and she was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable, professional and was patient. It was a wonderful experience, my family (7 adults plus a baby) had a great time!
I've been to Asakusa a couple of times, but never really knew that much about the area. Naoko-san was a friendly and knowledgable guide to the area and I came away feeling like I'd learned a lot and had seen a new side to the place. The quieter shrines and temples surrounding Senso-ji were beautiful and I really felt like we’d gone off the beaten path. Exploring the surrounding streets was great fun. I was really excited to find Beat Takeshi's hand mark (I’m a fan of Takesh’s Castle and his movies) on the pavement. Towards the end of the tour, Naoko-san expertly picked our way past the crowds for a delicious lunch. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon, I was impressed by how much Naoko-san tailored where we went based on my interests and would thoroughly recommend this service if you'd like a helpful guide to the area.
Sayaka did a great job! She also works as a flight attendant. That’s why she is very polite and tries to fullfill all of her customers‘ requests. She has a great knowledge of the region, japanese culture and history. Her English is flawless and she is also fluent in Swedish. I would highly recommend her service and would like to book her again coming back to Japan. She also gave great advice to us finding some beautiful sampuru pieces in Kappa Street and exploring a great spot to enjoy some soba for lunch. Once again thank you very much, Sakaya-San!
This was a great tour with Muchan! The tour was of the Asakusa and a little bit of Kappabashi areas of Tokyo. I highly recommend her services. She was warm and friendly and very knowledgeable. She tailored the tour to my interests and was so patient in pausing to allow me to shop and inquire about this or that. Her tour guide services are highly recommended.
Sensoji Temple was great and gates are beautifull! Mr.Yamazaki (our Guide) knows details of history, culture, and religion. You can ask him any questions . it must be fun to learn so many things from him. We also enjoyed walking arround Nakamise-Dori and bought some snacks. there are so many shops and cafes . Very good place to buy souvenirs and things are not very expensive. Kappa bashi is also very intresting city. if you like to cook, or you are a good chef, you must see the stores in that street. There are excelent shops for professional.
The visit to Sensoji Temple was amazing! Our guide Max was very knowledgeable and shared insights about both ancient and modern Japanese culture and history throughout our tour. We also had the opportunity to purchase one of a kind souvenirs on Nakamise Street. My son is a vegetarian and Max kindly pointed out Tokyo’s best vegan fruit sandwiches, though we ultimately opted for strawberry smoothies—super delicious! The tour allowed time for special interests too, allowing us to browse Studio Ghibli shops along our route and wax food on Kappabashi Dogugai. Truly an unforgettable day in Tokyo.
