Kazuna was an excellent teacher and host! She provided a great, non-judgmental atmosphere to learn about the intricacies of the tea ceremony. The building was a bit challenging to find, so look for the sign and not just Google Maps

I love the ceremony. It’s very informative and the tea master (Yoko) is very kind and sweet.
Very, very well done. All movements were clearly explained. Highly recommended. Pay attention to the instructions on how to get there. The entrance to the building and elevator are not that obvious from the street.
Overall the experience was great. If you want a quiet but informative activity then I would recommend this. The tea master knew a lot and showed us the steps in conducting the ceremony and some history of its development. We got to make our own matcha and so each person gets to drink two cups of matcha. Only issue is finding the building. See the photos on what to look for. The staff speak English so communication is easy.

This was a very good small group experience, which gave us a good background of a tea ceremony with its cultural and historical significance. The explanation by our host was clear and readily understandable. The entire ceremony was explained and demonstrated before each person had an opportunity to make their own matcha tea. This experience helped us better understand cultural sites throughout Japan as we traveled.
