This was a thoroughly enjoyable tour experiencing the different foods of Japan at 2 restaurants, including one with traditional seating, a black pork Katsu curry sauce tasting and dessert from a streetfood stall. We would highly recommend this tour.
Great food and great guide! They give you a lot of food and history throughout the tour. Super worth the time and money.
Fun tour with good food that really provided the flavor of Shinjuku -- figuratively and literally. Igor was an excellent guide who was able to provide good color commentary of the neighborhood.
It was an opportunity to taste different dishes and styles of Japanese cuisine - from sashimi to grilled fish, pork cutlet and Okinawa dishes. Finishing with a pastry dessert. Drinks to accompany the food in the different eateries. Plenty to eat. Peter was an engaging guide, happy to explain the food and talk about living in Tokyo. Quite a bit of walking - exploring interesting parts of Shinjuku and hearing about Japanese food history as well as contemporary living.
This was an amazing food tour and fully deserving of all of the great reviews! Freshest food, great and accommodating guides and really wonderful and personal service made for an exceptional experience in Tokyo!
Food was great and so was Emma. Our tour guide. She was very personable. The price was extremely reasonable.
Was able to try food and restaurants we wouldn’t find on our own - and Han gave us some great insight into Shinjuku’s past and present. We should have taken this tour on day 1, not our last day in Tokyo.
May was great! Very fun to walk around the area and eating all different types of food
Daniel was an excellent and informative guide. Not only did we taste amazing locals food dishes, but also saw some interesting sites and highlights of the region. Thank you Daniel you were sensational.
We had an excellent tour with Mak who was super-informative about the food , culture and history of Japan. We particularly enjoyed the sashimi but all the food we tasted was great. William and Julie.
We had a nice time. The tour guide was nice, but wasn't very informative. could've did a little better job explaining things.
We had a great time with our tour guide, Haruki. He made the tour so interesting and entertaining. It was fun to be among the sites and sounds of Shinjuku and sample the local food. Haruki really made this an experience.
Even during typhoon season, this tour was amazing. The guide Aika was super welcome and lighthearted, and explained all the dishes with patience and which pride for her city we really appreciate it the local food and the small little restaurants. Definitely something worth the money.
We had a fun food tour with Izzy! She was so fun, and took us to some great places to eat. I'm always happy when I get to try something I've never had before, and she made that happen. The food was tasty, and she taught us some fun facts about Shinjuku. I would recommend this tour.
Igor gave us amazing tour full of information not only about food, but also about history and life in Tokyo. The selection of food and drinks was excellent and very generous.
Ricki is a wonderful host who gave us insights into Shinjuku and nearby Ginza which were tour highlights. As a foodie I would have preferred more Tokyo centric food options in the tour to include more intimate dining experiences rather than snacking on the street.
Riki was the best! Very knowledgeable about the foods we ate and places we went to. Kept great vibes amongst the company and very easy to talk to. Food was yummy and you also get an o overview of Shinjuku food places on this tour.
Shane was amazing! So much fun and very tasty food!
Blake was awesome! Def worth booking - really enjoyed the food tour!! Aloha!
My wife and I had the best time on this tour. It was a perfect way to get the lay of the land in Shinjuku during the early days of being there. Our guide, Jun, was able to weave cultural, historical and tons of food knowledge into the entire experience. I would recommend this to anyone. Jun was seriously the best guide…and hilarious too!!!
Highly recommend this food experience with Karen, a lovely Tokyo local. Especially loved the Okinawa food, my new fav 😍
This tour was recommended by friends who did it days earlier, and we really enjoyed our evening! Our guide, Jun, was a great young man, clear in his explanations, funny, and informative. The food and drink we tried was interesting, tasty, and unusual. It was an evening I'll never forget!
Really enjoyed the food selections and descriptions from Ryogo of the food and culture!
Highly recommend this experience. We were able to try multiple foods and were stuffed! Riki was an excellent guide! He was knowledgeable, fun, and accommodating to any needs or requests.
It was a fabulous way to learn about Shinjuku area and experience dishes we would probably not have eaten but truly loved. May was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and fun.
Wonderful tour! Lots of delicious food and our guide, Shane Wang was Amazing! Very knowledgeable and sweet
Elena was fantastic! She was very energetic and enthusiastic about hosting our food tour. Each restaurant selection was different and the menu choices were perfect. She shared get information about each area we visited or just walked through. Most importantly she knew the best spots for pictures and took amazing pictures of us during the tour.
This is a great fun informative activity. It takes about three hours and I estimate it's about 3km walking in all . Really good local food and plenty of it. We stopped at 4 eateries and ate around 14 dishes, drinks are also included. Matheus, our guide, did a great job. It was fun as well as very interesting.
Emma was very fun to be with, she introduced us to delicious food and was informative about the area and that shinjuku had so much to offer. I would definately recommend this tour!
A good introduction the Japanese food. Our tour guide was fantastic, the food was fantastic but the tour was too rushed.
The information from the guide, Yuki, was very clear and he answered all our questions. Food was amazing and the whole experience was fantastic.
I highly recommend the food tour, and Ami was a wonderful tour guide who answered all our questions and created a great atmosphere. It's a fantastic opportunity to experience the diversity of Japanese cuisine, and there's more than enough to eat :-)
We had a terrific time trying the different foods and wandering through parts of the city we hadn't explored yet. In addition to the variety of food, we appreciated the bits of history and explanations of why parts of the city are the way they are. My only request would have been to meet closer to the first tasting stop. In my humble opinion, it is not necessary to stop and start at the same place if that means you are meeting and then walking 10+ minutes before the first tasting.
Thierry is excellent tour guide! Took us to all eateries as scheduled, explained all different delicacies served. He’s making mindful of people’s individual needs. He’s well organized and managed the time as scheduled. We enjoyed all the food on this tour. Highly recommend it, especially first time Japan visitor's.
Mak was a great guide who shared with us an insight into Tokyo culture and nightlife. The food was fantastic, and enjoyed his company. Would 100% recommend for any visitor
We walked around trying different Japanese foods. These places were cultural and very local. Our tour guide was engaging and very very fun.
Very friendly tour guides who showed us many sights in Shinjuka as well as providing us with great food to share.
Karen our tour guide was lovely and explained culture and food to us. We especially loved tasting the Okinawa cuisine.
Yuki was a fabulous guide. She had a great sense of humor and gave us information about the locations and food. We left so full and even my kids enjoyed the food
Shinjuku Food Tour with our excellent guide, Hina, was thoroughly enjoyable. I’d highly recommend it to anyone wanting a taste of the local flavor in this part of Tokyo.
Great night out with Igor. Even though we were a group of 12 did not feel too big
I highly recommend this tour, especially with guide Lloyd! Lloyd was absolutely fabulous and a great storyteller. The food was incredibly tasty, and there was plenty of it. It was a very nice night out and a great time had by all.
We were in Tokyo in Shibuya and decided at the last minute to do this food tour and it was one of the best decisions we made on our vacation. Blake was our tour guide and he was very intuitive and friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the foods that we ate. We started off at a place where we had three courses and drink drinks and then we were off to another place where we had some more samplings and learned about the history of the Neighbourhood and it’s people I would highly recommend this food tour. You will not regret it.
It's such a great experience, walking around places that we'd not seen, eating in restaurants we wouldn't of and eating/drinking things that I'd never of ordered. The food was delicious a different to the usual Japanese food I've tried. Emily was a great guide who loves what she does.
It's a must do, had a gr8 time Elena was a wonderful tour guide so many laughs so much knowledge. We had fun
There was a great variety!! I enjoyed this a lot as a solo traveler. We had a great group and an awesome guide. Shout out to Blake for making the experience so wonderful
Agathe was the best tour guide! Food was amazing and very entertaining tour. Had great fun with the group
Agathe was EPIC! Explained everything so well and gave great recommendations post and during NG the trip. Great spots and all over the shenguku area. Awesome way to see the strip and its local food. Highly recommend.
