Choose three sakes from a lineup of nine, from famous labels like Dassai 45 and Kubota Senju to the ultra-dry Bakuren and a cloudy, lightly sparkling doburoku, and pair them with three chinmi chosen from six: the bold, salty delicacies Japanese people have enjoyed with sake for centuries, including karasumi (salted mullet roe), one of Japan's three great delicacies since the Edo period. Your host starts with a short sake guide in English: what Junmai, Ginjo and Daiginjo mean, why the rice polishing ratio matters, and how to drink sake the polite way. Then you use our flavor map, from light to rich and from subtle to aromatic, to pick the three sakes that suit you. Held at Karaoke Bar GIFT, a small bar in the heart of Kabukicho, a one-minute walk from the Godzilla Head. Up to 10 travelers; solo travelers are welcome, as the experience runs even for one person.

I have been here alone and I was the only customer at the time (8pm) so I suggest to come a bit later in the night. The owner is really nice and the sake and the snacks really good. Just come plan it for a little later in the evening

Excellent experience! Great sake in a comfortable environment. The delicacies were things I had never had before, and I considered myself a pretty experienced food traveler. My wife and I made this our first stop after the hotel on our first visit to Japan, and I'm so glad we did. The man here was great to talk to, and we shared many laughs with the help of the Google Translation app! Highly recommended experience!

Fanastic time I had exploring different sake with friendly service and story telling Great time This place is easily accessible and close to Godzilla building and easy access from Tokyo metro . Can be little confusing at the entrance but once you get on 5th floor it’s different experience

I went on a solo trip to Japan to escape the stress of the holidays in the United States. probably the best decision I ever made one of the first activities I did on my first day was a sake tasting and totally worth it. The service was high quality along with the presentation. The sake options and food pairings made the experience fun. Yu, who conducted the tasting was a very nice man. He played a short video in English to explain what Sake was and the history. We then proceeded to choose our drinks and he gave additional information about the ones we chose (we were allowed to have 3). The delicacies were very delicate (come with and open mind food wise 😂), I would certainly recommend the beef tongue. Overall an excellent experience, very fun, not too long a great day filler activity.

The tasting was very pleasant. After an introduction on Sakè, they made us taste cow tongue and squid. Afterwards we moved on to the tasting of Sakè. Finally we had fun with karaoke. Experience recommended.

I had an interesting experience at a bar I popped into with a coworker. I came across a rare sake. I ended up drinking too much. The staff who helped me told me all about Shinjuku and we had a great conversation. I'd like to come back again.
I had always thought I would just drink sake at a bar, but I was happy to find that there were many rare alcoholic drinks and local delicacies available at this price. I think it was a great experience, so I recommend it!
