Also check out their website, it seems they have more tours listed there! This was our second tour with Smiley Walk, and we had a great time. JE and Miley have built a series of tours that give you a real sense of Japanese history and culture. This time, we got to experience what it’s like to be a ‘salaryman’ winding down through Japan’s drinking culture. We shared the experience with a lovely group of other participants who were very welcoming. I’m sure that anyone thinking about joining one of these tours will have the same kind of experience. Try not to do what I did and be too reserved, even if that’s your personality, you’ll have fun! Unfortunately for me and my brother, it looks like we won’t have time to join another Smiley Walk tour during this stay in Japan.

This is my second time booking with smiley tour, it’s has been two very memorable experiences and I’ll definitely book once again the next time I come out to Japan. I had plenty of drinks this tour, but we did have shabu shabu before hand. I learned some interesting things about the area, spent some time with some good People, Miley was a blast as usual I’m looking forward to booking once more.

Very cool to meet Miley! We had a great time bar hopping and trying different foods. We were brought to very unique bars that we never would have visited on our own. We had a great time with both of our guides, they were very informative and fun to talk to!

I always enjoy discovering new parts of Tokyo with Smiley Walk. The guides create a very fun and welcoming atmosphere, showing us lots of hidden gems that tourists would never find on their own. Highly recommended for both first-time and returning visitors to Tokyo.

This is really an amazing tour. You have to give this tour a try, go solo or with friends and family. This is a really cool tour, you will learn a lot and learn about a lot of neat places. Miley is awesome and is one of a kind. Trust me you will not regret it. It is a must do especially if you want to learn more about the culture, history and nightlife in Shinjuku. Must Do!

Highly recommended tour hopping the bars and learning about the history and attractions of Shinjuku. Miley is a fun and engaging guide and you will quickly make friends amongst the small tour group and the random customers you meet at the small bars that the tour visits. Great for solo travellers. I have participated in three separate tours conducted by Smiley Walk Tours and I will do so again on my next trip to Japan.

I found it breathtaking, adventurous, and despite being shy I’m glad to have met Smiley I person. She made my experience one that I will never forget. She was quite the tour guide and gave such a fantastic history lesson about Shinjuku. It is one that brings the last days of my holiday in Japan with huge excitement.

I have had the pleasure of taking two different tours with Miley. In 2023, I took her combined Asakusa-Akihabara Tour, during which the first part of this tour was featured in a local television news story. In 2024, I took her Shinjuku Night Tour, which also included Japan Explorer ("JE"). Both tours were very fun, entertaining and also very informative. You learn many interesting details and insights during the tours while having a very enjoyable and fun-filled time. Miley and JE really go above and beyond the norm to personally ensure that everyone is having a good time. Miley in particular always puts a personal touch on her tours and her sense of humor while interacting with everyone is priceless. During the Shinjuku Night Tour, Miley surprised me with a birthday cake and a little celebration for my birthday, which is just another example of Miley's thoughtfulness, consideration and personal attention. I highly recommend any tour with Miley and JE.

Miley is the kindest bean out there. At the same time she is a strong and knowledgeable individual. She has a ton of experience in life which helps alot on explaining light and dark sides of life in Japan. All that including her leadership skills make her a must to go on a tour with. A really fun tour round Shinjuku visiting some of the more unexplored parts as well as the famous areas. Miley and JE were fun hosts and I had a great time.

I did the Shinjuku tour with Miley and Japan Explorer. I had an absolute blast! Miley and JE are fantastic guides. They know where all the hidden gems are. I enjoyed my time greatly and I can't wait to book more adventures with them next time!
